    Your tours are very expensive

      Yes, the tours I lead personally are more expensive than other ones you’ll see online. I encourage anyone thinking about a tour to consider these things:
      1. Is it important to you to not have to visit any tourist shops where tour guides/drivers will earn commissions? My guests are NEVER forced to visit any shops during the tours.
      2. Are gratuities included? On my tours, I INCLUDE the cost of gratuities for all tour guides, drivers, Dahabeya Yacht Nile Cruise staff, bathroom attendants, porters, and security. This ends up being thousands of dollars added on to the trip cost for my groups, but everyone loves not having to worry themselves about paying any gratuities.
      3. Who is leading the tour? Most tour companies have English speaking Egyptian staff leading. My tours have me along every step of the way, a native English speaking American who also speaks fluent Egyptian Arabic, along with English speaking Egyptologist guides.
      4. What type of Nile Cruise is offered? For my tours, I charter private Dahabeya Yachts, which are far, far more expensive than booking a cabin in a large Nile Cruise ship. I also partner with Kemet, the most luxurious Dahabeya Yacht on the Nile (which also makes the trip more expensive).
      5. How big is the group? Most tours are 20 people or more-in my opinion, this is not a good way to experience Egypt. My tours are capped at 14 people maximum, making them a true small-group experience.
      Thank you for giving me the opportunity to explain why my tours cost what they do, and to share these tips that tourists should look for when deciding which tour is best for them.

      @@EgyptAdventuresTravelbut what does an average tour around cairo or shamr cost and long is it?

    • @EgyptAdventuresTravel
      @EgyptAdventuresTravel  Місяць тому +1

      @@SightofMights it totally depends-I encourage everyone to shop around (check out other companies, ask friends, Google) and compare prices, but when looking at prices, be sure to compare apples to apples - for example, if a tour doesn’t include gratuities, it should be significantly cheaper than a tour that does include gratuities. Or a tour that uses a Dahabeya Yacht should most likely be more expensive than one using a large Nile Cruise ship.

    Excellent video. Much like the Steigenberger in Cairo itself, but with a beach added.

      Which Steigenberger in Cairo are you referring to? The Steigenberger Pyramids?

    the only place that isn't safe in egypt is the border , maybe the western desert. other than that, Sharm el sheikh , Hurghada, Dahab, Marsa Alam, ElGouna are very safe and people will have a good time there. they are all located on the red sea not too far from each other. the weather is getting hotter so enjoy the beach, snorkling, and diving !

    I’ve been there exactly a year ago. I honestly found it kind of overrated and overpriced. I go to many resorts in sharm since i’m Egyptian, but no matter the “steigenberger alcazar” you are staying at whether the one in downtown Cairo or the one near the pyramids and GEM. It just sucks for what you’re offered. The only thing decent are the rooms. When it comes to resorts in sharm, there are alot of better options in my opinion like Rixos premium seagate for something actually lavish and expensive or something more affordable and decent like the Jaz resorts. There are also many more options near Naama bay but those are crowded and mid. But uh yeah eitherway great vid man.

      Thanks, and thank you for your recommendations. The Rixos are on my list of places to try the next time I am in Sharm. For this trip, the Rixos was double the price of the Steigenberger so I didn't splurge, but I've heard it's a great property.
      I personally found the Alcazar to be a huge step above the Steigenberger Pyramids in terms of the common spaces and food. I still like the Steigenberger Pyramids for a more budget-friendly option than the Mena House, but it's not a hotel I adore.
      The Steigenberger in downtown Cairo I do not care for, and do not recommend. I find the rooms to be very small, beds not comfortable, and not a great value for the price, when there are other great options closeby.

      @@EgyptAdventuresTraveli agree and i can’t for your upcoming plans for sharm; and also yeah rixos is expensive at this time of year especially near eid al adha (or any other season for that matter) i recommend going August since the prices will be much lower.
