    If you’re someone like me who’s fully invested in the Ego ecosystem with several of their products and therefore has several high capacity batteries, then I think their power washer is a perfect investment and I can’t wait to get it in a few months. But without even having to use it in person, I definitely wouldn’t recommend it if it’s your only ego product. Just get an electric one in my opinion. Gas is too much of a hassle for the minor benefits you’d get compared to just electric.

      Yep, if you already have several high capacity EGO batteries, the bare tool version of the EGO pressure washer is a great option.

    Put the turbo on the gas nozzle on the gas ..I guarantee it will clean better then both the others..that's why it's called a turbo nozzle it adds pressure

    • @TheLawnReview
      @TheLawnReview  3 місяці тому

      It can’t add pressure. The PSI is the PSI. It can narrow the opening but the gas one didn’t come with it.

    Turbo nozzles are designed to optimize and maximize the pressure you can get out of your pressure washer, all the while cleaning surfaces faster and better without exerting more effort. I'm surprised it came with it normally it's a extra accessory that you can purchase separately

    I was wrong. I thought the gas would smoke them all. Great to know as I'll be in the market soon so looks like Ego will get my money. Thanks for doing this.

      For the same $799 you can get a very nice Simpson with a Honda engine like the model ALH3425 or similar. It'll outlast 10 times the Ego and give you better performances.

    it seems like it was a nozzle test, more than a fuel-type test

      It’s what comes with each one. The gas could have used the same nozzle as the others but doesn’t.

    I still can't get on board with battery for bigger jobs. I pressure wash my deck and driveway every couple years. It takes 2 to 3 hours to get it all. I couldn't imagine having to stop every 60 minutes to recharge the batteries and wait an hour for them to charge. Either that, or buying $400+ worth of extra batteries and chargers. I could live with corded electric if I had to, but then I'd need a 75 ft extension cord and the plug would be getting soaked and tripping the GFCI plug outside. (Speaking from experience). In a perfect world, I'd have a battery powered for easy quick work like washing the car or cleaning a small patch, and a gas powered for when I have serious work to do. And it looks like you need a better nozzle on that gas pressure washer, that zebra striping shouldn't happen with a wider nozzle. Even though I know you were just using as they suggested.

      The EGO unit is great for someone in your situation if you are already invested in the EGO tools and already have more batteries. All the issues of run time go away once you have two or three other batteries from say a mower or a trimmer.

    I used to make fun of battery powered equipment. Now I’ve got ego pole saw, chainsaw, hedge trimmer, weedeater, and push mower. Next purchase will be this pressure washer. The stuff is legit. And the noise reduction is awesome.

      I have a lot of EGO products and they are pricey but pretty solid so far. I like having a pressure washer that I don't have to plug-in and will suck water from a bucket. Makes it very portable

    Should've used the same tip for all . As for cleaning a driveway a surface cleaner is a better option than a tip and I highly doubt a battery powered power washer will be able to run one well. Also electricity and batteries don't mix well with water.
    For the price of the Ego one can pick up a Simpson pressure washer with a Honda engine that puts out 3600PSI and 2.5GPM.

    • @TheLawnReview
      @TheLawnReview  4 місяці тому

      I appreciate the comment for sure! I used the tip provided by the manufacturer. It would be unfair to the brands that actually provide good tips if I gave everyone the same tip.

      @@TheLawnReview Comparing a 15 degree nozzle to a Turbo nozzle makes this an apple to oranges comparison and a variable that needed to be eliminated. I'm willing to bet that if you used the turbo for all they would all have similar results considering the tested powerwashers' PSI are all relatively similar.

    • @TheLawnReview
      @TheLawnReview  4 місяці тому

      @shay1116 the gas one did not have a turbo nozzle.

      @@TheLawnReview That's the beauty of quick connects, you can change out the tips. Unless the Ego is some proprietary size and wouldn't fit the other wands.
      Here's a video that shows how the Turbo nozzle cleans better than a 15 degree. Same pressure washer, just swapping out the tips. ua-cam.com/video/dmOpGUk0im0/v-deo.html

    I think this opinion makes a lot of sense. Basically, if you need a pressure washer for around the house use and small projects go with ego. If you need something stronger, it'll be more expensive anyway, and unless you're going to be running a business, either buy a separate product for those big jobs or hire a professional.

    Hey man I just subscribed? Have you reviewed Westinghouse WPX3200e Electric Pressure Washer? I've spent a ton of time looking for someone doing actual psi and gpm tests on it but I haven't found a food one. First time pressure washer buyer here. You used a turbo head on the EGO. And used a regular head on the Petrol
    You cant compare the 2. Petrol wouldhave still outlasted the Electric, and if you used the turbo head on the Petrol it would have left the EGO for dead..🫵🫵
