I remember this music became an instant classic (in my mind) at the very first listen, during the movie. It is something very rare to happen. This is how powerful the melodics and arrangement and chords progression and orchestration are in this piece. And it's great because John, with this music, doesn't point the finger at the trivial idea of the dinosaur, but to the need of wonder which makes us humans want to experience a travel back to time of dinosaurs.
This has become my favorite execution of the Jurassic Park theme. I had the chance to hear it live at the Hollywood Bowl with the incredible John Williams, but I hope to have a chance one day to hear it with Gustavo Dudamel at the Disney Concert Hall. 👏!!!
Then I may suggest you the wonderful performance by the Wiener Philharmoniker directed by the one and only John Williams that was recorded last year in Vienna.
I did not realize how much I could love this piece until hearing this rendition. At about the 0:52 mark there is a point where low strings and horns come in together and take the depth to a new level. Killer.
This music brings me to such emotion. (Yes I was sat tears streaming!) It stirs something deep within my soul, and it did the moment I heard this music in the film too. Absolutely incredible piece and one of the most underrated musical pieces written of our time. Thank you so very much John Williams, Gustavo Dudamel and the LA PHILHARMONIC for a beyond beautiful rendition
Sitting in that beautiful concert hall, and hearing that theme song. You literally got the chills and goosebumps. If you ever get the chance to see LA Phil DO IT. And that concert hall is a beautiful creation of sounds lights and experience.
Big Thumbs up for everybody involved in this project, especially also the guys at the sound mixer and the mixdown. What a great sound quality in this recording, the complete CD sounds great! That the music itself, the composer, the conductor and the orchestra is great I don't have to mention anymore. Thanks everybody!
@@laughinloveforever6707 Yes!!!! In particular the horn at the beginning: The piano Bb... and the fullfilled and thankful facial expressions of John Williams, without words... and then, at 0:46 (tutti) the warm and present double basses... and...
Williams did it recently in Vienna. Its absolutely magnificent. The audio will be released fully in august, but Jurassic Park and Imperial March are out. Best rendition of Imperial March i have heard, and Jurassic Park was brilliant
Grazie Gustavo!
This version conducted by Williams himself and the Vienna Phil can be played side-by-side with the version done by Dudamel and the LA Phil: ua-cam.com/video/-NqaupGcCpw/v-deo.html . If you listen carefully enough you can detect differences in sound and playing quality. There's more clarity and resonance in the room the LA Phil is playing in.
Fantastic effort DG!!. Would have preferred the background chorus with it. Horn solo in the start and the Winds following it before the Strings kicked in when they play it so well it means that the entire peace will go well.
Can anyone tell me what kind of orchestra seating/panning (for mixers) this is? Very interesting - it seems that the cellos and violins have inverted their spots and the violas are not centered! I'm sure there are multiple seating plans but I'd like to know from which this one derives! Thanks!
of course Wiener Philharmoniker, cuz of the french horn solo, these two are so different. in this performance, the french horn solo nailed the first sentence, but the second one was weirdly in low voice like whisper, and the flute was too showing off taking over the 3rd sentence. However you can hear the delicacy and elegance that Wiener Philharmoniker bring out to audience, and it got me tears, not LA Philharmonic. PS: I like the flute principal so much, cuz his tone quality is very precious and unique in the flute world, and also his signature 45 degree position XD (Im amateur flute player, it's magic that how can he plays so well in that position), I know he is one of the top players, just his elaboration doesn't play into my heart.
This theme was obviously written and orchestrated after Brahms' second piano concerto and the fourth movement of his first symphony. Williams should have given some credit...
When you have the composer himself conducting one of the best orchestras in the world (Wiener Philharmoniker) to compare with, this suddenly becomes so mediocre. Nice try folks, but Europe is at a different level, and will always remain so.

Two hundred years from now when the movie is forgotten this song will remain a masterpiece.

I Love Gustavo's hair... it emphasizes the intensity of his determination as he conducts. Especially anything he does by the Master... John Williams.

WONDERFUL-- THE WAY IT IS BEING CONDUCTED ABSOLUTELY ADDS TO THE MUSIC..
Sitting in that beautiful concert hall, and hearing that theme song. You literally got the chills and goosebumps. If you ever get the chance to see LA Phil DO IT. And that concert hall is a beautiful creation of sounds lights and experience.
One of America's best orchestras the Los Angeles orchestra and a very beautiful tune

Wonderful piece, Mr. J. Williams, wonderful performance!!!
My 6 yo son is a Jurassic worldholic, and he loved this theme by LA Philharmonic. Thank you for performing such a beautiful music!😍
oh my..amazing..the sound..the volume..the music Gustavo makes..heaven brought to earth..
Too epic, too beautiful.
The best performance of this piece on the Internet. Well done!
I think Vienna Philharmonic with John Williams is also great :-) ua-cam.com/video/-NqaupGcCpw/v-deo.html

Have you seen the Vienna Phil. version? ua-cam.com/video/-NqaupGcCpw/v-deo.html
Beautiful Melody. Lovely Performance ✨🌠
For me this is the best movie score of all time!
The best live rendition of this theme on UA-cam in my opinion. Very, very well done.

@@jyotishkoray Interesting, thanks for sharing this info. I'll be on the lookout!
Here with Master Williams and the Vienna Philharmonic :-) ua-cam.com/video/-NqaupGcCpw/v-deo.html
Thank you lord, you gave me my lovely parents, you gave them their parents and you created dinosaurs so I'm listening this beautiful music.
Grazie Gustavo!
Bravo Gustavo como siempre excelente hno grande abrazo...!!!
großartig und überwältigend! Danke
It is lovely and very sentimental music!👏👏👏👍😍
John williams is a true genius
Amazing. Just amazing!
Dudamel does this so well!
Beautiful!

Australian French Horn player Andrew Bains nailing that important opening solo
I think the initial solo was the best part of this performance. The rest was good, but I still prefer John Williams' versions.
Magnifique !!!!!!!!!!
Very nice, toutch my heart!
Excellent!
Orchestral music is awesome.
Stunning!!!
This reminds me on so many things! Beutiful played!

Wow!!! What an Speechless Harmony that I felt through... Thank you Sir and Mam.
fabulous!!!!
You can hear another piece by Williams that shows the influence of Gustav Holst.
Great!!!! Maestro

wow
They're moving in herds! They're moving in herds!!!

I think it is the Mahler setup.
💞💖💞
Ah yes. Australian born Andrew Bain on principal horn !
whats the tuning
Timpani for the freakin’ win at 5:24
It all began on January 24, 1848

A bit too fast, not solemn enough. My favorite remains the Prague Film Orchestra rendition, conducted by George Korynta.
U kidding me ? this rendition is by far epic and even more so than with John Williams directing this piece with the Vienna Philharmonic

Is the flutist master Denis Bouriakov @00:32 ?
Yes
Los Angeles Philharmonic vs Wiener Philharmoniker, who wins?

French horn and Vienna Horn sounds very different.. Vienna Philharmonic sounds very rich, LA got it too round and plain.
Not the same without John Williams conducting. Also the Vienna Philharmonic did a better job.
