    I can trigger my endorphins with a good workout at the gym. And music can do that for me as well. Listening to Bernard Herman's (and other's) music is like taking an opioid. It moves me, dumping a load of dopamine in my ventral striatum.

    I wish to know the name of this conductor, whose energy is only matched by the greats Gustavo Dudamel and Sir Simon Rattle.

      The conductor is Esa-Pekka Salonen, the previous conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

      Yes, it's him. E-P. S. I count this as some of most effective, beautiful, expressive baton technique ever. And his face is rich with intensity.
