Sunlu and polylite silk prints easy my man. I print a lot in silk, 220 hotend, no speed drop. What you need is a center weight, like a desiccant holder for the spool. The spool get light.
that sir is simply the way silk purges, it gets thick like a worm instead of a long thin extrusion like with petg and reg pla, i have creality k1's and i run all silks at 235c and 60c bed. and at full speed 300mms
Yeah it tends to tolerate a wide range of temperatures and speed and still look good. The main variance being surface sheen and layer adhesion. Definitely not the strongest filament though.
I have some cheap DO3D red/blue silk I print at 230C with 50C bed. It tolerates a wide range of temps, but I go high for max layer adhesion. Looks beautiful. Does need a decent amount of cooling for overhangs and bridging at that temp, but my printer has an aux fan.
I also struggle with silk filaments. Somet print better at 230 and others print better around 200. It seems very specific to the color and brand. Working amazon handmade here....
Sunlu has a few different whites, from almost milky transparent to pure opaque and bright. You running a hardened nozzle with all this white filament? They tend to use mineral pigment and are super abrasive.
I printed adapters for Sunlu and they did not work very well. The OD of the adapter was a little large and they would rub on the clear AMS cover and not allow the spool to retract properly. I could unlatch the lid and prop it open about an 1/8 of an inch and it worked well. Stopped using adapters after that….
Hahaha the skunk girl is great even though I'm not into the furry thing either. Degen Prints is a good name, especially for furry stuff, they love to be called degenerates. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if people would like to buy skulls in black or other colors including silk. Like silk gold classic wild west cattle skulls for example. Or black skull with gold horns that are removable. You get what I'm saying.
Oh, he's entered his "arthouse phase". Nice switching things up on the intro.
Silk filament is TPU filament added to PLA which gives it the shine. TPU which is an elastomer, wants to naturally spring back when purging.
I do not believe this is accurate. At least not for the vast majority of silk PLA.

I'm loving the voxel white, that stuff is snow white , it's the only brand I'll use for white now! Another awesome vid! Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 man!

it's alien and disturbing and i love it
Silk is so easy to print wirh. But brakes very easily

I run silk at 215 to 220 at speeds of 150 to 250 works perfectly
I can only imagine how many cuss words were said when you realized you had to shoot everything over again. Merry Christmas.
many 4 and 6 letter words were spoken
Understandable
I run my silk at 203 wirh bed at 55 and prints amazing
