Hi Lisa, Thank you for another great and detailed video on Port St. Lucie! I am learning many things about my future city and state and I look forward to becoming a part of this!
I'm a happy young retired police officer here in Tradition Port Saint Lucie FL. We're looking to keep this place nice and safe with beautiful people as it is. No changes once or ever 👮💚🙏❤️🌴🌄
@Joe Langel Get ready for the big snow disaster coming up North to you. I have extra shovel I don't need anymore. Meanwhile, I'm going to the beach in the Winter 😁🤪😜
Perhaps you should inform people that eventually there will be a causeway Built over to Hutchinson island to the Beaches that are in Saint Lucie County If you want more info ask the Mayor Shannon Martin
Thank you Lisa this was so great I enjoyed your video my husband and I are planning to purchase a home in Port St. Lucie soon and this video really sealed the deal.
Port St Lucie has grown- it just hasn’t matured. There’s a difference. No downtown, no real cultural or entertainment venues. Just a lot of homes and retail establishments. Work wise- this city still seems to be under the impression that another call center or shopping plaza will save the day. They should be proud of the efforts IRSC and some of the other colleges have made back in the day- I remember when IRCC transitioned to a state college but the fact this area doesn’t do enough to retain these graduates is shameful. I’m one of the few early residents of this place. Moved here from NYC with my family in the 90s. Everyone I went to school with left and only a few came back after college/grad school. Most high paying professional jobs are further south or out of state. Definitely a great place for retirees- always has been but not for those who want a higher standard of living. Western communities are hot right now- and for good reason. In Palm Beach County, we have Westlake, Loxahatchee, Royal Palm Beach, Palm Beach Country Estates etc. These areas are removed from the city yet close to everything - it still give you lots of land & safe communities and they know how to create neighborhoods/communities that cater to this new generation. Tradition has the right idea - look at how it’s been planned. As a long time (former) resident of PSL, I can say this is about one of the only major improvement that’s ever been made to this city.
Most of what you said is true. PSL has rapidly grown and some things were not properly planned out, including the roads. There’s a lot of people here and too much traffic. The recent Crosstown Bridge has helped. But I disagree with you on comparing PSL to Palm Beach County. Apples and oranges honestly. Properties and taxes down South almost double. Royal Palm Beach, while very beautiful, is very pricey.
Hi Bruce! Yes, there are several downtown area that have great love music. Downtown Fort Pierce and Fort Pierce beach, DT Jensen, DT Stuart... and of course, Tradition Square has live music venues seasonally. Thanks for watching~~
Port St Lucie sucks! We were there for about three years. Left in 2020. Remember, this is a real estate agent in the area telling you what the "lies" are.
Great information Lisa. I am looking forward to moving to Port St lucie in a couple of months. Currently living in Broward. Would it be possible to go over homestead portability?
Hi George, If you currently own a home you can certainly transfer any portability saving you have earned. Make a copy of your tax bill before the property changes owners... KEEP A PRINTED COPY. and thank you for watching.
I’ve been looking in South FL & my family from Palm Beach County said the crime rate is high in PSL. What are the safest areas for a family & schools ?
Hi Karen... personally , you should compare Palm Beach County to St Lucie County. I think you will be pleasantly surprise.. as a realtor this is not a topic we can give advise on, but it's easy to research crime stats via google. thank you for watching
I love PORT SAINT LUCIE!! I LEFT HAWAII!!& rather be in port S.L. Don't have to be so negative there are places in Oahu that will take 20-30mn to a beach & is super crowded and dirty, & worse of all is run by the most corrupt gov.
Many areas of Port St Lucie offer housing that is more affordable for families. ( non-gated neighborhoods for instance) I would suggest you visit "great schools" to see the school rating if you have young school age kids. www.greatschools.org/search/search.page?q=port%20st%20lucie%20fl Many of the schools do have lower ratings, the magnets school are great however. Thanks for watching~~~
No! I just moved here last July and the kids here seems to run around with no home training. They are rude!!!! I had to call the cops on a few of them. The only thing the cop will say is, “the parents do not care”. That spoke a lot of volume and now I regret buying a house here. Keep your children away!!!
I’m not relocating until another 5 or 6 years out , yeah I know it’s a no time soon but do you think there will be any new build at that time or just resale because of the current rush
Hello there! Yes,... there will be new construction waiting for you. You need to expects an 18 build however, so purchase before you retire and keep in mind, your income will change.... so, best to buy before you stop working. Thanks for watching~~~
I don’t see any negatives with these “lies”. Port St. Lucie and most places in Florida are better than anywhere in Georgia. Why anyone wants to move to Atlanta is beyond me.
I have lived in Port St. Lucie for 10 years! Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place! It is horrible, and I mean, horrible! There is absolutely nothing to do. And if you like the country life/American life/private life, forget about it. This place is completely horrible. Please take my word for it. I hate driving past it on 95. This is how bad Port St. Lucie is. Oh yeah, the police are bullies. And God for bid you make a mistake, you will go to prison for years.…… I’m telling you this is the most horrible place on earth. Well, at least Florida.
Yes we are Beach lovers... I like to get up and walk to the beach every morning... and yes manufactured communities is what interest us... thanks for your reply and we will continue to watch your videos.....
Roads, underground utilities, new fire stations... Port St Lucie is one of the fastest growing cities in the nation. Thank you for your comments and Thanks for watching.
If you are moving here to PSL to get away from the problems in your city DON'T bring the problems or their causes with you (voting for the kind of people who caused your problems for example). We are trying to KEEP what we have, not "change" it to what you are running away from. Also I should mention that it's kind of unsettling to hear the nuclear sirens from the Power plant go off all around the neighborhood on a regular basis (testing the system just in case) It reminds you that the "green" spaces aren't as green as you hoped they would be. But don't let a silly thing like that stop you from checking us out. 🥵 ☠

I can back this up from personal experience. I was born in Ft Lauderdale and walked to school daily. Lived in a safe neighborhood and was never threatened by blacks. Then my parents decided PSL would be a great place to relocate and they didn't bother checking into school zones. So I was bused to Garden City Elementary and was threatened daily by blacks. Me too!!! I can’t wait to move here. Just waiting for our house to Finnish being built!
Same here
I’m glad I left, it’s the best decision I could’ve made for myself and my kids, the bugs are horrible

All the Lisa's always have good sense of humor. Maybe that's why I like them so much. Hi Lisa great video.
This lady is everything. Love her energy.
Coming over to check out Port St Lucie in February. I’ve heard good things about Traditions.
I still prefer Hallandale Beach Florida just way more to do and beautiful beaches and restaurants and businesses and growing communities.
Thank you again Lisa your explanations and videos are SPOT on !! You explain in easy to understand videos exactly what to expect !
Glad it was helpful!

Welcome!!!! And I am so glad I helped~~~~
If you're relocating from NY, please leave your political beliefs back home. Florida is a paradise; we'd like to keep it that way.
love you.................your the best
I live here. It's getting crowded.
And it’s NOT good. 😕
I don’t think so it’s just it takes them 10 years to build one road
Hi Lisa my last name is Ammons as well. I will be moving to Port Lucie in July.
Bought in PSL about a year ago- no regrets
Excellent video Lisa !
Nuclear power plant!!!! What's the safety record,n how is the water system monitored for safety???
Thank you Lisa! Was really helpful video! We are already now in Port St. Lucie and love it here! Thanks to all your help!! 🙏🙏🙏👍❤️

15 miles inland?
From the vacant Civic Center it's 2 miles. Publix or Culvers in Tradition is 15 miles inland
What is the civic center for?
@@mikeskordynski it's the one on US-1, roughly TWO MILES from the beach

Years ago, my Uncle who moved from Long Island used to say PSL is the @$$hole of the US....I couldn't agree more to this day.
We are moving from to Florida. I'm thinking maybe lehigh acres are.
Another great video Lisa thank you!

20 minutes to the beach

Port st luvie is 40 minutes from west palm other than that there is really nothing there
Why ain’t nobody talking about that NUCLEAR POWER PLANT THAT’S THERE ?
It’s located in Fort Pierce.
One of my concerns is storage. We have basements up north. What do you do for storage in Florida.

It’s your primary residence. Here in the state of Florida, unlike some other states, there’s tax benefits.
