@@Dealcasters everyone thinks the re 20 or the re27 ND is supposed to be better but I don't see how I hook my PR 40 up to my Icom 7700 and It just sounds unbelievable.

What interface are you bringing it into? I find it needs a lot of db on my Flow 8, can't run it at unity.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment @theoverlandchannel ! For this video, I used a Rodecaster Pro 2 as the interface, and found I did need to add a decent amount of gain - however not more than any other dynamic broadcast mic (but certainly less than the amount of gain needed for my Shure SM7B). Typically Heil mics sound amazing right out of the box without any processing at all, I wonder if maybe you have anything else in the chain that is keeping things like that for you? Haven't used a Flow 8 before, but I have found that historically Behringer preamps can get noisy when you have to crank them up. Also double check the cable you're using - I know that sounds strange, but I use a cable tester on my XLR cables and sometimes find bad cables in my chain! Keep us posted - I hope this helps!
