    About 8 years ago "Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Mork & Mindy" popped up on my UA-cam recommended page and I ended up watching the whole thing because I was so mesmerized by how amazing the guy playing Robin Williams was, and I couldn't understand how this performance hadn't become more famous. That was the first time I ever saw Chris and every time he pops up somewhere I always think about that and am so glad to see he's getting recognized for his talent.

    Lifelong 3 Stooges fan here. Chris was fantastic as Moe. The other guys were great as well. I'm so glad an actual hardcore fan got to play Moe, and he was so good.

    Chris has such an amazing story! I loved hearing about his acting journey and the struggles that came with it. Most people didn't like or didn't see The Three Stooges, but as a lifelong stooge fan I loved it. What a fun update!

    100% my favorite episode to date! (and i've been around since day 1)! It has everything from Chris and Michael each busting out their own amazing impressions, to how much someone in the biz like him has to GRIND to get a part, and so much more. Rosey, you out did yourself on this one. 2022 is off to a fantastic start with #insideofyou

    Chris is infinitely more intelligent and capable than Hollywood has ever given him credit for; this dude is plucked right out of the golden age. He’s so fucking experienced and knowledgeable and passionate, it’s a shame we aren’t seeing him front and center in more shit.
    Killer podcast, love hearing guests like this anywhere, even more so on this podcast.

    He's an example of how the most talented entertainers aren't the most famous recognized for his incredible skills. He's so good in everything he does it's hard to believe he has to work this hard to land roles.

  • @anon5263
    @anon5263 2 роки тому +6

    I had seen Chris in a Robin Williams biopic when I was younger and thought he did an amazing job.
    I messaged Chris once just after the Stooges movie congratulating him on a fantastic performance. Will and Sean were also great but Chris was the only one I felt the desire to reach out to. The level of artistry he brought to recreating Moe was incredible. He was gracious enough to respond, and after hearing in more detail the level of commitment he put to even getting the part, it was such a thrill as a Stooge fan hearing back from him.
    As usual the Hollywood masterminds have no idea on what they're doing or why they're doing it, and it's a shame that such talented performers are subject to the whims of brain-dead lunatics.
    I do have to say though, Chris, that you didn't just embody Moe the character, you embodied Moe the man. Because would it really have been an accurate Moe Howard if you didn't get shortchanged by studio execs?
    You knucklehead! Why yoooooou!
    I hope that Stooges sequel gets out of development hell!

We proceeded to laugh our asses off, call it and us low brow but the gags were great and the story was pretty good for the purpose it served. Which was let's get from gag A to B. Seems people were gonna be hard on it from the get go. The actors that played the Stooges did a great job too.

    I loved this episode!! As a former, TERRIBLE actor I notice a cpl things…sometimes the crazy stories would make u think its possible for a nobody to “make it”…but notice some tidbits: preparation…access to the Warner Bros lot(no way ur gettin on a major studio lot if ur a nobody)…natural talent + impressive amounts of hard work bordering on obsession…proactive parents recognizing and acting on the obvious talent…these may not be the only crumbs on the path as tenacity and luck play a part but they are definitely separators between those that make it….man this was a great episode.

    So this is my first exposure to this guy and as I’m listening to his voice driving in my car and now I’m home actually watching him I don’t even have to look it up - he was Brian, the sound guy on 2 episodes of “The Office” - the one whose character gets fired for defending Pam against the a-hole who defaced her mural? I attended Saturday morning Greek language classes in high school with Chris and I can verify that he was exactly as he says. He would walk with a group of friends (3-4 other guys if I recall). He was always walking in front of them and essentially performing in front of them while walking down the hallway and his friends being his traveling audience. It was sight to see. He was always on. I'm glad he found success in entertainment.
