What Made CHRIS DIAMANTOPOULOS Fire His Agent After Dropping the Ball with THE THREE STOOGES #insideofyou #threestooges - Розваги
Damn straight. It's not the agent's job to withhold info like that from the client, deserved to get fired.
Hey, I would have fired their asses too!!! NEVER TAMPER WITH SOMEONE'S DREAM!!! 😡🤬👺
He definitely shouldn't have said " I'll do it for free"😐 I just watched three stooges the other day.it's so underrated.
He shouldn't have, but he did - and the agent should have honored his wishes.
As a Stooges fan of well over 40 years, I absolutely loved this movie. The casting was excellent. Even the kid versions of the Stooges were amazing. Thanks so much for being the perfect Moe!
I was absolutely shocked at how close it was to the original shorts and how near-perfect the casting was. I consider this a guilty pleasure that I feel absolutely no shame about.
I may not think it’s a perfect movie, but I deeply appreciate it for that it is
Fukk'n loved it.
it was insanely well acted. I couldn't believe it. Seriously underated.
The producer should have paid him more and he was right to fire his agent.
When I saw this movie trailer I thought it looked dumb and lazy. But hearing from this guy his passion and motivation to deliver a heart felt performance, I’m def gonna watch it. Feel bad for the immediate judgmental reaction.
I've watched it. Super dumb and lazy. Glad he was passionate about it though.
@@samirflima wrong!
If you’re a Stooges fan you’ll love it. Way better than the trailers would have you think
Wait, the guy who played Moe was also Russ Hanneman in Silicon Valley? I always wondered why I never saw the guy who played Moe in anything else. Turns out I did, he was just so damn good as Moe I never recognized him in other roles.
He was also on the office. He played the cameraman that fell in love with Pam.
He was also in Arrested Development as Lindsay's homeless boyfriend Marky Bark. He's done various roles on American Dad as well
This is why my dad could never be an agent, he drops the ball all the time. He would be like "oh yeah, sorry, I forgot to tell you."
I was really surprised by the movie and how well it captured the heart of what made the stooges funny and entertaining. You could tell the people involved loved the Stooges and wanted to emulate it well
To the people saying 32k is a lot of money, that’s true, but you have to remember all the parts they don’t get. If an actor only gets a single decent sized role in a year, that’s it. For a starring role at a studio, it’s pretty poor.
This is why most actors have jobs outside the industry until they get enough regular work, and even then it can be feast or famine.
If you have to move house and pay for your own housing and food for 4 months, with a family, it's nothing. It would seem to be a lot if you lived at home and this was your income... (I'm agreeing)
PLus having to give a % to agents and publicists and taxes and stretching it out to your next gig and who knows when that'll be.
Plus you have to pay taxes, agents, union dues etc. plus he’s paying for two homes during it.
Yes, however, that is part of the job. Every job has pros and cons. Doctors have massive medical school debt and work insane hours. Military have set housing and don’t always get to choose where they serve.
On top of that, there's state and federal income tax. He is MOVING for his job (including his own family) out of pocket and having to maintain two residences, paying your employees (agents, pr, etc.), then supporting your family and children all at the same time...
That's so disgusting that they treated Chris like that. The producers are idiots for not appreciating the hard work Chris put into the role of Mo.
They aren't, it's business. An actor begs to be in a movie for free, they take advantage of that. That's their job; to make as much money as possible. Their job isn't to be nicey nicey guys, throwing money around willy nilly like a nursery school game.
Hollywood is a business just like any other. They did their job, and did it well.
@@kb5509 it’s a business that make money off of entertaining the viewer. So when their over involvement hurts the story. Then they are hurting the profitability of this movie and the future of the franchise as a whole.
@kb5509 it's not good business
That’s Moe Not Mo
The film was my first proper exposure to the concept of the three stooges and the characters possessed in the shorts and after hearing this and learning how much the Howard family respected it, I love it much more than I did when I was a kid.
Just found this pod. Wow. Subbed can't wait to hear the whole thing. ✌🏼🙏🏼💪🏼👍🏼
What a great and transparent conversation...awesome...
This dude is amazing for sharing his story. Thank you.
This guy played a serial killer on Hannibal and absolutely crushed it.
I don't think anyone on that show didn't crush it. Masterful casting on that one.
Yeah he killed the role. Hehe
Yeah his agent definitely deserved to be fired. Part of being an agent is knowing what roles your actors are gung ho about getting and keeping them informed of all offers. I would've fired them too, in a heartbeat.
I’m legit going to watch this now. I didn’t even know it was made I feel lost af. Went and did my googles and saw this was created in 2012. His passion for this film is dreamed of by people. Some will never understand or know that feeling
this is amazing!!!!! going to re-watch this movie with new eyes now.
He absolutely nailed Moe. Fantastic job.
Waiting for the sequel...
I’ve been a stooge fan my entire life, and that film isn’t perfect, but the cast IS.
I remember after seeing the movie, I wished that they were able to continue just doing shorts that played before features. Even though the movie isn't perfect, Will, Sean, and Chris nailed it. And it would have been fun to see them continue in the same vein as the original shorts.
I Love Chris in everything he has done.
This guy acts.
Chis was probably my favorite character in Silicon Valley. He stole every single scene he was in.
Holy shit this guy is committed. Much respect
I understand his motivation. I had the same experience with "Laurel and Hardy". My mom bought me them on VHS.
"I was recalling a very funny episode of the German version of The Nanny."
this man played an awesome Moe
Dude was amazing in the movie
It has me questioning the Farrellys on their behavior in this matter. I'd be curious how much Hayes and Sasso got paid for their roles..
The movie was a risk, Farley Brothers had been pushing fir years, it was a budget studio flick, probably all were lowballed to get in major motion picture, all of them were only known for TV, with Sean Hays, being typecast, but he has made it work for him. The mad tv guy seems to take whatever role comes his way. Been watching him since his days as the Hotel clerk Gomez in sliders.
Chris was AMAZING as Moe. I remember seeing them promote the movie on WWE Raw, and it was REALLY hard to watch because the crowd was NOT having it -- booed them out of the building.
sometimes it's not about the money. it's about doing something that you love.
It's been 10 years since The Office and he still looks exactly the same.
I hope that the sequel gets made one day. It wasn't a perfect film, Hell, if I had a chance to make a Stooges comedy I would do it completely differently but I have a soft spot for the film and everyone involved. And I know that I am not the only one who feels that way. And we all want Shemp. Don't care what the plot is. We want Shemp as long as Chris, Sean, and Will come back along with the Farrelly Bros. They are really good at what they do and all things considered, the Stooges movie turned out great all things considered. The main culprit to blame is the Studio. Everyone else did the Boys right.
Who's Playing Shemp? As Well as Getting Billy Gardell as Curly Joe (Which I Think He Played in the 2000 ABC Biopic)
As long as they throw in Shemp and even Mantan Moreland, I'm game for a sequel. I'd be happy to see Shemp, but Mantan'd be the icing on the cake.
"So you said "you're fired".
He probably said a lot more than that with much more colorful language.
I always love hearing how great the Farrelly brothers are to work with. For what are very obviously selfish reasons, but still.
Amazing story
It’s interesting to here actors talking shop.
If you're good at something, never do it for free
he was perfect! movie was alot of fun!
A lot is two words
I appreciate his passion. Happy he got the role of his dreams, and I thought he did a really good job as Moe. I just don't know who thought the movie was a good idea to begin with. You can replicate the Stooges style of humor, but you can't replicate the Stooges themselves.
That was a pure-balls Russ Hanneman move right there, bitches. *fist pump*
Guy: "It cost me money to do this movie"
Amazing Interviewer: "It probably cost you half of what you made to do the movie!"
Liked him in man vs
The guy seems really cool but he looks like a real life thunderbird.
“This guy fucks!”
Tres commas!
Everyone knows you can't join the Three Comma Club with Schedule F
Larry F****** David was the nun in the movie!!!!!!!! 🤯🤯🤯
This is amazing. As much as I wanna hate the modern Stooge movie, the more I find out about it I become more and more fascinated. Idk any other work of Chris’. But he really did make the character of Moe come alive and he worked amazingly alongside Will and Sean.
Tres commas
The movie wasn't perfect, but the casting was perfect. I still think Sean Hayes should have gotten an Oscar nomination.
$32,000 for 16 weeks of work starting in a movie!?!
Half of that went to costs of moving his family, so 16k for 16 weeks of work, ≈ 36k annum
I liked the 3 stooges movie and he was right it wasn’t perfect cause the farrelly brothers shouldn’t have done it in the vain of the 90’s Brady bunch movies where they kept the stooges like they were in the shorts and have the world be modern around them like the Brady bunch movies did with the Brady family they should have kept them in the era of the shorts then the plot would have made a bit more sense instead of trying to appeal to the generation Z audience who probably didn’t know who the stooges were
Bad move to say that u would do something for free just because u love to b in that project. They only hear the word free and then the studios are drooling. Never do that at any job. Plus Chris has a family to feed and he hasn't had many big job offers. His wife did a few TV shows but then she has to take care of the kid. It's sad how ppl get exploited by the industry. It's not easy moving and renting an accommodation with a family and then receiving very little. They blackmail u with auditions and then tell u to hold your end of the bargain. I'm sure the movie made a lot of money.
A lot of agents suck ive heard
Disabled veteran here, 32k is almost 3 times what I make in a year. Fucking celebrities.
Damn, I make more than $32,000 after taxes every 3 months lol.
Movie wasn't that great but the cast did an ok job.
"They didn't pay you????
" They paid me the equivalent of $110,000 p.a"
" It's crazy that you offered to do something for free, didn't honour that, then got paid well....you're a martyr and a great human "
THAT IS HOLLYWOOD, AND SOCIETY TAKES ITS MORAL CUES FROM IT.
32,000 is still a lot of money for 16 weeks. Thats 4 months. It's not that expensive to live in Atlanta.
You forget about all the time they aren’t employed. That 32k could be his entire pay for the year. Actors spend a lot of time just auditioning and trying to get a part. 99% of actors aren’t A or B-listers who can consistently get roles.
Umm he made almost my salary in a few months 🤷♀️ I’m missing something here
lol yeah you are
Russ would never do anything for free.
Wow only 32k... you poor poor man.. give me a break
Ace, he explains that it cost him more than that to do it. Between feeding and housing his family in Atlanta for 4 months...and paying rent back in LA for a home he's not in. So he paid to do this job.
@@JoeCoughlin3 it's not our fault he's so terrible with money.
$32,000 for 16 weeks? Uh, yeah, I'll take that.
lol @ "and I snapped" and the host tries to say "snapped" at the same time as him. this guy is terrible
I’d take 32K for 16 weeks of work. Hmu 🤙🏻
32k for 16 weeks is not "nothing" pay. That's 2 grand a week or $400/day. Expensive lifestyle isn't the studio fucking you over.
You forget actors don't get paid when they don't work. 32k for 16 weeks sounds nice, but not if it takes him another 3 to 6 months to land another job
@@adventurethis So we should pay them for time off? You're making my argument bud, most people do not get treated like this.
A construction worker will be paid $200/day in most cases and be let go after 6 weeks. Pretty common in TFW trades.
@@JohnBelley86 I never said I agreed with the way things work, don't get so defensive. Your argument was that the 32k was a lot of money, I simply pointed out that once you factor in down time between jobs it's not. For the record, according to SAG the average is $50k per year.
32000 movie stars are out of touch.
The dude made in 4 months what a lot of Americans make in a year and he made it by goofing off. The poor guy.
@@kootrell All this means is that Americans are seriously underpaid.
Thirty two thousand dollars for sixteen weeks' work.
My heart bleeds.
Mate, think it through for just 1 second.. 16 weeks work, when you have to move your family to another state, including living expenses, while keeping your actual home mortgage paid + any maintenance costs. In a country where you're paying up to 25% intaxes + whatever percentage goes to agents/managers. In addition, due to the nature of the industry, you very likely wont get any other work for the year.
32k huh? Half of that, AT LEAST, is gone right away for taxes and agent fees. So, that leaves you with 16k for 16 weeks. That is all the money you get for uprooting your family to another part of the country and for maintaining two separate residences.
Maybe dont do a fucking three stooges film with shitty pop culture references that will be dated after a week.
Dude, shut up
I mean I make less than 32k in a year and I work five days a week
I mean with the move is one thing but he’s mad about getting a little more than the average salary is per year in the US. I’m sorry I don’t feel bad. I really don’t. I like this guy but I just don’t feel bad.
I wonder if these actors realize how long it takes the working class person to make 16k. They are already overpaid.
Geez Lex talk to the unhoused once in a while. I live in Hollywood and there are several hundred you could talk to.
It's always shocking to see how out-of-touch actors are. They are shocked that he would earn $30,000 for four months worth of work, which is $90,000 a year. There are a significant amount of people that would feel like they were doing pretty good in life if they made 90 or $100,000 a year.
I get what you’re saying but I think you’re missing the part where he had to move his family temporarily which altogether cost more than the payment so he was basically paying money to work
If I offered you 10k to do a job for me but it would cost you 11k to move to do the job you would consider it a bad deal
What a ridiculous take.
"Saved the movie" Hilarious! He didn't save shit, the movie was garbage. And the reason was the casting. Some washed up nobody from Mad TV and two other nobodies.
I like him but I gotta play devils advocate, a little. The movie wasnt a "hit" and he's not really a "name" actor. I mean, the movie spotlighted him in that dreadfully overlong Jersey Shore segment but, the film overall rested on the talents of the THREE leads. Not just him alone. Not sure what he was expecting...
It was a horrible movie
Well sh@t I make $27k a year, what you whining about? You made $32k for 16 weeks!
It was a terrible movie; utterly forgettable.
Thanks fo chiming in
horrible movie. probably over paid if anything. love his voice work though.
Where are all these commenters coming from? Is there a forum for poor, jealous people that linked this video? Yes, $32k is a lot of money for most of us, but it's ridiculously low to star in a major movie. Your jealousy is clouding your judgement.
