In this episode I build a fully automated, self-sufficient, bee-friendly Biodiesel factory disguised as a gas station (Petrol Station). Using a massive field of Tomatoes with an automated Create Gantry Harvested, the tomatoes are collected, haunted into rotten tomatoes, automatically crafted into seeds, pressed into plant oil and fermented into Ethanol!
I'm having a great time discovering the Create Mod in this fantastic Minecraft world. Filled with mods that add new biomes, terrain, mobs and so much more, not to mention the Create Mod.

Awesome idea
You can grow 3 tall plants of tomatoes, they grow on a rope so place a row of trapdoors above the tomatoes with rope hanging down and they will grow up it, add another 2 rows of harvesters and you'll get more tomatoes without needing to increase the size of the field :)
Also to add-on from this, if ya have Supplementaries Mod, you can do the same thing with placeable sticks which adds more of agricultural feel
this! you can triple your farm without changing it's footprint
I feel like you should build a specialized backpack shop to display all of your retired backpacks so they don't have to all rot in a chest somewhere.
he can still use them as super convenient building sets that he can automatically fill up with all sorts of things from the AE they are still useful!
I dont know why. But the more i watch those streets the more i would love to see a highway with a big interchange. Would be hell to build but nice to see ❤️
You can filter basins, maybe that`ll get rid of your seed oil problem (plant oil bucket in filter slot)
Man I love when you do the voice for the viewer. and give yourself grief. It is My favorite thing about the series! I love all the builds and creativity too, but your comedy is as good as your builds for me.
8.2 rotten tomatoes=1 bone meal, you need 1 bone meal per tomato. 8.2*5=41. So split it into stacks of 46, 41 will go to bone meal, 5 will go straight to production. With some random variation, should be pretty exact.
I really like how the tomato farm turned out, it's pretty and comfortable looking.

you should move those processes from the front of the building to an underground area; after all, fuel stations store their fuel in huge underground tanks, not in the building itself. and that way, you could still decorate the "shop" area of the fuel station
Just a heads up, the ae2 storage bus already works as both an importer and an exporter, you don't need any additional ones ^^
But it won't pull from other storages with the same item in, so you need the exporter to make sure all of that item goes into the same place

@@foxynotail High priority just means that any new in/out operations will apply to the highest priority, it doesn't generate those operations. The exporter is needed for initial sorting. The general setup would be to have all your AE storage in a range of low priorities (0-9) and then have all your bulk external storage on high ranges (10-19).
@@UberAffe1 Yes, exactly. I did not think about him already having items in other ae2 storage, but as soon as everything get exported into the drawer then a storage bus with higher priority should be enough.

If you move the portable item transfer setup a few blocks away from its reset position, it should pause and unload everything, then continue on. Awesome build!

If you want to clean up the AE view, you can setup “view cells” in a cell workstation to filter out only certain things. You can have a view cell for all your create stuff for example. Then just name them and keep them in your backpack to easily add them to your wireless console. It makes sorting through massive AE systems much easier.
You should make the trucks go to the gas station for a little bit
If you want to increase your tomato production you can add rope on top of a tomato plant and then it'll become double height and make more tomatoes

I believe that you can prevent the basin from making both plant oil and seed oil by placing a bucket of plant oil in the basin's recipe slot, or using a denylist filter of seed oil in the recipe slot
I forgot to ask in the last video, but you can think of a design to decorate around the warehouse, like wind generators rotating to give it a more futuristic and advanced look.

Edit: Having 16k Drives in the ME system can be useful, because ME Drives have Slots. Each Drive has 63 Slots, meaning the 256k Drive can Store roughly 4000 Items per slot, however non-stackable items will use one Slot, meaning If you have 2 Diamond swords on a 256k Drive you're basically wasting 8000 storage capacity.
Edit Edit: thats atleast what I heard, so it could be wrong
your right about that, theres a special version of the drive that has a higher amount of slots i believe to relieve that issue

I think you have every right to keep your backpack(s) if you want to and if you like having them.
in fact he can use AE to custom fill said backpacks with building blocks and etc as he pleases, and then just take them to do stuff, kind of like Etho shulker ender storage solution but even better

You can place ropes above tomato plants and they'll grow on them. It'll increase the space efficiency (might screw up the bees tho)
For the tomatoes and bonemeal, I would suggest a factor 5.

Which comes down to the exact ratio of the calculated 8.2 tomatoes.
In which case the first funnel would be set to 46.

You should use external storage on the drawers and set a higher priority. That way, you can see the items in the system.

My preferred way of making bonemeal is through a skeleton farm. Put as many skeleton spawners as you can or use a mechanical spawner if you have the addon for it, and then you just kill the skeletons with 1 set of crushing wheels then crush their drops through another set of crushing wheels a few blocks forward to get rid of the drops you don't need & it gives a ton of bonemeal. I was actually having an issue where it was so efficient I had to scale my farm up to be able to keep up with it lol.
AE2 veteran here, if you want to store stuff, just use the storage, not the export bus. If you have issues with items getting stored in the wrong spot, just give your storage busses high priority (eg 99). that way you save massively on channels. Also you can use p2p tunnels to save on cable
But that doesn't automatically move items from one storage area to another.

@@foxynotail if you want to skip the IO Port, yes. I have found, that some mods can cause issues (mainly memory), when using export and storage bus on the same block as it constantly pulls out of and puts into the same entity
@@foxynotailbut they are extremely useful in passive applications, where export or import busses constantly tick update, adding a bit of lag
TL;DR: just use import busses only where you NEED to pump stuff out, otherwise using storage busses and putting things into interfaces is preferable

You know you don't need both a storage bus AND an export bus on your drawer controllers; you can just set the priority on the storage buses so that items get put in there first and taken out of there last :) If the issue is that you already have stuff in your drives that belong in those drawers, then you can put those drives into an "I/O something" block and that will take all the items out of the drives you put in there and be stored in other valid spaces ie. your drawers
if you click a bucket of plant oil onto the recipe filter slot on the basin that has been producing some seed oil, it will ONLY produce plant oil and no longer occasionally produce seed oil
Idk if u have tried it but I'm pretty sure u can use some kind of bracket to separate fluid pipes that are next to each other.. u might like the look of those a bit more, and then they will be fixed to the wall instead of just floating.. but u do u of course 👍

If you're up for adding a new mod reliquary has something called the Lily pad of fertility and it makes crops grow way faster

The thing is, it depends on how many different Items you store inside your Me system. The 64 k storage disc can hold more different types of items than a 4 k storage disc, but they both can hold the same amount of this item. Or it was the otherway around, just more items per item type, but the same number of item types. I think the last part makes the most sense. Thats was it, like it was when I played with the mod

If you put ropes one top of your tomato plants to get them to grow 2-3 tall, can the harvesters be set in 2-3 rows to harvest them all? You’d have to move your bees to get them 3-high, but this could at least double the capacity of your farm if you make the tomatoes 2-tall
It's actually better to store using 64k or 16k than 256k, the reason for this is that all cells have a limit of different items, so you can have any amount of a total of 63 types of items (limited by the capacity of the cell) so for storage like this that you're not using for A LOT of trash (like cobble) you don't need the 256k - the 64k and 16k will be more than enough. Basically, you can have a cell with 256k cobble or a cell with 63 different items and with the quantity limited to 256k (thinking about using a 256k cell) - these examples would be using maximum capacity, just to clarify
there are addons for ae2 that solve this "problem", I have already used 2 of them: MEGAcells and AE2THINGS, and both of are extremely helpfull by adding extra stuffs that simplifying the original ae2

In terms of the item vaults, it might be worth using external storages that way you still have access to all your stuff from the system but you won't have to build loads of drives to store it!
