In this episode I build a fully automated general mob farm using Create Mod contraptions to push and crush the mobs.
I even add in a system to separate spiders and I do all of this inside of a MASSIVE new HOTEL that I built!
I'm having a great time discovering the Create Mod in this fantastic Minecraft world. Filled with mods that add new biomes, terrain, mobs and so much more, not to mention the Create Mod.

You could build a little hot air balloon to stand in.
Use come sort of contraption to have a tether so you can summon it to pick you up from the ground, or phantom rails.
Exactly what I thought it would be so cool to have somthing like that

To stop spiders, Try using the trap door setup, but instead of trap doors, just take the cube of floor out
Would be cool for you to have a central electric plant converting rotation into electricity to transport to electrics moters throughout the city!
You know, if instead of using those pistons, you put a gantry shaft on another gantry shaft, you could have saved a whole bunch of space down below.
I believe you can power the second gantry shaft by applying a redstone signal to the first one.
One could also put a nozzle onto a fan and push that way
Pretty sure you could make a working etch-a-sketch with that design if you did it right
The schematic cannon is awesome! I’ve never been a fan of modded Minecraft but your videos as well as Mr. Beardstone have shown the side of Minecraft mods I didn’t realize was available. I spent years enjoying Minecraft and in recent times have found the game to lack diversity in terms of gameplay, these mods really bring a new level of creativity to the game. I applaud your work and do hope to see the series continue into the future

Make a Hot Air Balloon for your AFK spot above the hotel.
Hey Foxy, instead of the Bush in that circle area infront of the hotel, you should add a nice fountain, it will look better trust me
Foxy perhaps try a slab on the underside of the top sweeper blocks while you have trap doors. It’s not a full block so it can glide over trap doors while getting the baby zombies!
Make a blackhawk helicopter flying above your hotel as your AFK spot

you should design a Montgolfière flying over your hotel for your afk spot ^^
I suggested a helicopter or airplane, however this idea would be nicer looking.

Did you happen to try it with the floors actually enclosed like in the hotel? I was thinking with the tinted glass walls so close to the floors, maybe there wouldn't actually be enough room to spawn vs. when you didn't have them enclosed? You could then sacrifice some spawning spaces, & place buttons on either the edges or maybe even on the tinted glass walls. (Heaven knows you're getting absolute LOADS of mobs in there now since you moved way up above the hotel! 😁)
● 2nd: Then use copycat ½ slabs of tinted glass (or other dark block if doesn't accept that) as the 1st row of the sweeper blocks.
It feels like virtually every Create set-up I've seen - both mine as well as others - doesn't seem to follow the same rules as Vanilla re: items in a 1 block space. (For example, on my windmill both sails & blocks sweep right thru the glass windows & corner blocks of the Mill building it's built on. They don't get stuck.)
So I was thinking maybe the half-slab might do the same thing & just ignore the buttons on the floor.
Would love it if it worked thus reducing all the extra work you had to do in the basement just to be able to kill off the 8-legged buggers & still claim the experience!

I remember creeper farm having some trapdoors to prevent spider from spawning, you could look up vanilla creeper farm.

I love your Mob-fall Hotel lol When I first heard your idea of encasing your mob farm with a beautiful hotel (which looks AMAZING), I thought you would use water to push the mobs off the platforms which would have created a nice effect of a mob waterfall in the center. Kind of like the showy displays in front of casino hotels 😅

The gantry shafts have two chiralities, so the gantry moves in different directions based also on the gantry shaft's chirality, and if you connect lines with opposite chirality, they keep those end bumps in the middle, which the gantry can't go past. Using that, you can remove the duplicated piston, contacts, and shaftwork on one side and have fewer moving parts.
For the problem with the tomato harvester: setting up redstone contacts on the ends of the gantry shaft that when activated turn on a toggle latch which is pointed at a gearshift to change rotation direction, should fix the issue with the machine randomly stopping due time errors caused by a server or other factor you can't control.

For spider proofing the top of something, you just need an overhang. Spiders can climb walls, but can't actually hang from a ceiling. If you use stone walls/fences/iron bars, etc with another full sized block on top, it creates a channel that the spider cannot climb over
imagine a 10000 block liquid storage for hyper exp!!!

I had a thought of why not using slabs to stop the spawns on the platforms and slabs on the sweeping arms bottoms as they should be able to pass over each other?

Fans actually work really well for spawners and they are lower lag than anything moving.
Don't use sequenced gearshifts, use redstone!
Deployers have a little known functionality that they stop additional attempts when powered. But, instead of stopping mid-cycle like stopping their rotation does, a powered deployer finishes its current action, lending itself to on-demand single interactions.
Set up a redstone chain in the order of button (or other regular pulse feedback), pulse repeater, redstone repeater set to at least two ticks, then a block with a redstone torch on it, feeding a redstone link.
Keep the deployers provided with rotational energy at all times. Use different speeds in order to ensure the deployer completes it's action, and then the device works perfectly, with no unnecessary hand movement!
People in the Create discord server saw your video on the laggy things from create and they are ripping you apart as it’s not correct they said. It’s so sad when someone does a test and everyone rips them apart 😢

Would a slab under the top block using top block as your anchor rather than bottom block you could use the trapdoor or copycat panels to prevent spawns with bottom half of the block is open on the sweeper.

the best way to stop spiders, without having to change your pushers, spawning is in the floor where you had the trap doors us walls. that is how most java players stop spiders in their creeper only farms.

Fun fact, you can ditch the piston on the sweeper and replace it with another, perpendicular gantry. There's ways of connecting perpendicular gantry shafts such that if one reaches its end, it'll toggle the other one to start moving instead. It's pretty neat, they explain it better in the ponder menu.

Did you know that mobs don’t spawn on slabs? You can have framed slabs to stop spiders and keep all other mobs.
22:20 I would suggest maybe instead using a clutch that has an inverted signal plus a pulse delay to make sure that the wrench activates the chain drive. I prefer sequenced gearshifts for other things, personally.

The way mod spawning mechancs work is the lower a spot is the higher the spawn rate. so you get more spawns as deep slate lavel then you would at sea level

If you have a singular place to stand and use a pressure plate instead of a lever, you shouldn't have to worry about accidentally wandering away without turning it off.

Built a plane up there it will fit with the modern look but also work as AFK spot
If you have tinker's construct mod installed then you could drop all the mobs into a smelter instead. Spiders are still a pain though as they only drop string, xp nuggets, and venom then. So I have built a special farm for Spiders using bits of the Ars Nouveau mod to kill Spiders with auto casters which counts as player kill so you get eyes, string, and xp nuggets. Eyes are needed for the other crafting farms. It's either Redstone or Glowstone. I can't remember off hand which one. But yeah we're running a create, applied energetics 2, and tinker's construct 2 centered server with a ton of other mods. 169 in total with four more in pipeline once they are updated. The server is unfortunately a 1.18.2 but we have fun.

it looked like you would be able to raise the tomatoes by one, instead of two. So that they’re only two tall rather than three. It didn’t look like you would have to remake any of the structure apart from the actual moving contraption part
The mob spawns if the selected mob can have its entire hitbox placed on the selected block (bottom center of the hitbox on the top center of the block) without intersecting any other block. That's why trapdoors/slabs work and buttons/pressure plates/redstone dust do not for supressing spider spawns

Use vines spiders can't pass them that means you can save power by not having so many saws

if the tomato farm keeps giving problems, maybe tear it down and turn it into a series of windmill farms? (so the harvesters are on windmill bearings with sails)

I love the series you have here but I need a quest line in the modpack because my brain can't hold not having one
huh... just need some vaults and smart shoots to filter the drops around, like keeping the exp, gunpowder, and maybe redstone and bones seperate. Also maybe a disenchanter for any mob weapon drops, as well as looking to see if there is any way to turn liquid EXP into nugget form

Could try the trap door method in your spawn chamber for the spiders, and then add a slab below your top sweeper to snag the babies but not the trap doors?

You could make a small plane of some sort be positioned over the hotel, or a helicopter, and have it as your afk "platform".
I thought the hotel looked like a government building. Having a mob farm inside a government building would be great satire.
You could disguise your afk spot as a helicopter or airplane. Would look like an airplane or such, however allows you to afk in it.
