I’ve always wanted a full subterranean zone of the nerubian empire in all the grandiosity of their architecture (think an’kahet & azjol nerub cranked up to 11) as well as the depths of their caves. Instead of zones next to one another like normal expansions they’d be stacked like an upside down wedding cake. Obviously yogg stuff would be at the bottom, above that would be the labyrinth of arthas’ journey during the war of the spider, above that would be the kingdoms’ cities, and above that -the open areas between the glacier. Just a thought. Nice video!

I bet the Drust are another contingency of Yogg-Saron. Their Vrykul heritage (derived from Yogg's curse of flesh) probably gave them a natural aptitude towards the Emerald Nightmare and death aspect of Druidism. Now it makes sense why they were able to assault Ardenweald -- through the backdoor that Yogg created long ago. Maybe we'll see that Yogg-Saron is the "Ancient One" spoken of in the zone.

I just wanted to point something out that you didn't touch upon regarding Bolvar being the perfect candidate by the old gods to fight the jailer: Bolvar was "purified" by Alexstrasza at the wrathgate after his and his men's faces melted off from Putress's super plague. And given his fiery glow, I think Bolvar is infused to some degree by the power of the red dragon aspect, which is charged with guarding Life on Azeroth. So there's that.

  • @Cifer77

Very interesting points, but I think there's one big one you didn't touch on.
Is this WHY the Pantheon used mechanical creations to fight the void? They refused to create "life" because.... they knew it would only fuel death?
Maybe they just didn't want to bring "life & death" into the war, they didn't want to involve the "living" and the effects of the afterlife, Shadowlands?
Maybe they knew the void was the better manipulator of "life & death"?
I just suspect some greater intent behind them using mechanical servitors now, I always thought them capable of creating "biological life", seeing all the ways they could create plant life on planets, but they didn't.

Also, there is another point you missed. Onyxia instigated Varian Wrynn kidnapping, she was of the black dragon lineage that, as we know, was already corrupted by the old Gods. Why is this important? Because The plan was about replaicing a king unfit to fight death, being Varian a bloodlusted soldier that killed plenty before, with a new king, one that would favor life, so much so that light responds to him like no other and has powers to resusscitate as we have never seen before. Not only that but perhaps she also stood vigil in Boulvar, observing him closely for he's ascencion as the new Lich King. Perhaps this whole deal does have a point afterall, what you think boys?

  • @TK199999
    @TK199999 3 роки тому +1

Yeah the Old Gods and probably the Void Lords do nothing but Xanatos gambits. There is also the possibility that every fight with Old Gods was a test, to see if the mortals of Azeroth were ready to take on their next challenge. So the outs comes where binary for the Old Gods, either they win and do what they do. Or the mortals win, proving their superiority and so are made stronger for what comes next. Its also why the servants of the Old Gods don't understand why the mortals resist them. It was the Old Gods who gave the mortals the gift of flesh and mortality. While simultaneously making the mortals stronger and having them function as their servants in the 'Great Game'. Though I guess the mortals of Azeroth and those who came to live there (Dranei and Orks) are the Children of the Void and of Order.

We get rid of the Jailer, we have our voidy gifts and void elves and whatnot, AND we have our living nuke named Bolvar, and end up infecting the Shadowlands with void just like our side was infected with old gods before?
Bolvar is the next baddie we're gonna fight in a raid in the next expansion, void and light themed. I'm calling it xD

Could N'Zoth have foreseen this possibility, and manipulated events so that Y'Shaarj appeared to be the biggest threat and target, forcing the titans to take action, creating the Well of Eternity, which would eventually create the empire that would be ruled by the one to set him free? From what I recall, it only seems to affect the mindless ones, though. Or at least the non-intelligent ones. Maybe that's a variation of the curse of flesh, with Yogg being able to corrupt corpses in the same way that he cursed the Titan constructs? Corpses are just inanimate matter, after all, the same as any automaton. The only difference is that one is animated by necromancy and the other animated by Titan magic.

HOLY HECK! What if the curse of flesh wasn’t just something to mess with and defeat the titan creations in the time of the Black Empire? Giving us mortality has given the old gods a fighting chance with all of us flesh-beasts knocking around the shadowlands. Could it have been their plan all along to fill the shadowlands with the souls of their creations (us)? They could then manipulate us and the souls of other old-god-made mortals to do their bidding and defeat Death. Wild to think about!

Ok so reeading up it seems that the void's potive at this point is preventing the death of Azeroth because the death of Azeroth would place her beyind their ability to corrupt. That said preventing the death of Azeroth does not inherently corrupt the titan and Azeroth also is the greatest threat to the voidlords.

I've been saying Yogg-Saron's behind the Shadowlands for two years now. Glad content creators are finally catching on.
It's super obvious. Why do they need all those souls? It's for a feast of souls. Yogg-Saron is all about that. So what's the feast about? What's the purpose? It probably has something to do with summoning a Void Lord to consume Azeroth. There are a metric crap ton of old whispers and clues involving this stuff. From Mueh'zala and his tablet to the puzzle-box of Yogg-Saron, the events surrounding that little Draenei girl, and so on.
The world trees are the key. Five of them. Four now corrupted or destroyed by Yogg-Saron. One remains. Hyjal.
Once it is gone, Azeroth would no longer be protected. Her soul would be ripe for the harvest.

The Titans did, and it was the original and most commonly use version of life they created. At least according to the quest in the wetlands from classic. So the curse of flesh is not really a curse so much as a normal state, the old gods just manipulated it to reset the rock/mechanical life, to the original used on other planets.
