I still do not understand why the new Figo and Figo Aspire which have surpassed all benchmarks of performance in their respective class still not selling that well. +MotorBeam If that is the only reason, then it's really sad! The Figo diesel is a great machine, built well and has performance rivaling the Polo GT TSI. I mean, which other car under Rs.10 Lacs does 0-100 in under 10 seconds? And I can understand about Maruti but Hyundai badge? Agreed they are second only to Maruti in marketshare, but Hyundai isnt really a badge to envy. IMHO, Ford, Volkswagen, Honda command much more respect as a brand than Hyundai. Sad affair seriously! If the Figo and Aspire dont sell, being such good cars, there is nothing Ford can do to make the brainwashed people of this country flock to their showrooms.

I've owned an Endeavour for the past 8 years and to be honest , its served me well but the ford service centres are a pain. The story of Ford is just like VW. Brilliant cars , shit aftersales. The real comparison should be between a Figo and a Polo. Rest of the competitors are not as safe as these two.

Swift is a SHIT compared to FORD, Just remember Ford Figo uses the global MK V Fiesta underneath which is still even today worlds best B car chassis which only Fords own MK VI Fiesta outdid, no other car brand is even close to Ford, Not even Mazda, let alone the shitty tin can Maruti Swift

one of my frnds who booked the new Figo was talking about it at work on how good it is and all that... i thought he's just bluffing. But when i did a little research about it i realised what an amazing car this Figo is....and this review just proves his/my point...the rear of the car could have looked better though... but still it looks good overall. Well done Ford.
A great comparison indeed!I was really happy about the fact that ya'll mentioned about the in gear acceleration times.Though i suspect that this car could be a bit faster to hundred as there is only a difference of only 6 milliseconds between the aspire and hatch(considering that it's lighter).A big thumbs up👍
+Faizal Hala there isn't much of a difference between the weights of both the cars as the fifth hatch door is usually heavier in the hatchback when compared to a sedan.

Motor Beam surprised to read your comment. In my opinion, Bolt is much better car compare to swift & grand i 10, and close fight with figo... Pros-- 1)Bolt has air bag & ABS in mid variant, but these two major security features only in top end in grand i 10 & swift. Most Indian middle class buy only mid variant car. 2)Bolt has One of the best steering. Smooth and light in low speed in city driving & nicely weigh up at high speed at highway driving. 2) Harman audio system in the bolt is the better than any others, with blue tooth (phone receive & end ) and audio control in steering again avilable in mid variant. 3)Ride quality & interior space is the best , u can compare with any other hatch back. Very Good Family car. 4)Heavy car compare with other three cars. It reduce mileage slightly but it provide greater stability at high speed in highway driving. Cons -- 1)Interrior design. no space for keepping 1 ltr water boittle ....... one very basic need . 2)Pastic qualty & Interior finish almost at par with others .. but could have been better. Grand i 10 better in this... 3)Boot space, it is same like swift. 4)Handling.. better that i 10, but swift & figo is better in this. Because Bolt is a tall car & seating position also in hight. But what is the use of good handling car at indian road ?? Where ride quality is important.. Interior fit finish, plastics quality is good in japanese & korian car. They are making more & more lighter car ignoring saftey stdrds reducing cost , because they know Indians are obsessed with car mileage & looks. We Indians , do not understand important of saftey features in the car.. like ABS , AIR BAG which increase the cost. And they are making fool of us.. Start stop button serves no other purpose than just a bling for kids Ford dealers provide parking sensor for 3k with warranty 1.2 motor after run in of 5 thousands km comes into its own... Its the smoothest motor because its a 4 cylinder and the stability of the car, not to mention the heavy doors and solid brakes

Also I liked the gear shifting by Dr. Khan.. Seems to be a pro, quick and perfect shifts. None of the reviews have exactly same 0-100 figures if the Figo despite of the VBOX usage.. I guess this difference can be well attributed to the person driving the car.. Shifting point (as per engine, 4k for this turbo diesel) and time taken in shifting can easily result in up to 1 second difference.

Hello MotorBeam, i drove ford a frnds figo 2013 model and it was awesome in handling & ride quality but not yet driven new one, now i am confused wheteher old figo is good in terms of handling & pick up or the new one, would u suggest to buy second hand good condition old figo or its better to go for newer version. This 1.5 Diesel engine from Ford is Pure Gold.......My mind was distracred by this figo....I am now thinking about to sell my FZ and buy this Car for commuting....Base variant is enough for me.....I am sure it can give over 20 kmpl of milage if driven carefully...What are your thoughts Motorbeam.....?

would I go for baleno delta or zest xms .. both are petrol varient and mainly for highways and less city use. we do highway drive about 600km drive in 2 to 3 months... waiting for your reply.. and sir when will baleno rs and vitara brezza petrol will launch

Motor Beam surprised to read your comment. In my opinion, Bolt is much better car compare to swift & grand i 10, and close fight with figo...
Pros-- 1)Bolt has air bag & ABS in mid variant, but these two major security features only in top end in grand i 10 & swift.
Most Indian middle class buy only mid variant car.
2)Bolt has One of the best steering. Smooth and light in low speed in city driving & nicely weigh up at high speed at highway driving.
2) Harman audio system in the bolt is the better than any others, with blue tooth (phone receive & end ) and audio control in steering again avilable in mid variant.
3)Ride quality & interior space is the best , u can compare with any other hatch back. Very Good Family car.
4)Heavy car compare with other three cars. It reduce mileage slightly but it provide greater stability at high speed in highway driving.
Cons --
1)Interrior design. no space for keepping 1 ltr water boittle ....... one very basic need .
2)Pastic qualty & Interior finish almost at par with others .. but could have been better. Grand i 10 better in this...
3)Boot space, it is same like swift.
4)Handling.. better that i 10, but swift & figo is better in this. Because Bolt is a tall car & seating position also in hight. But what is the use of good handling car at indian road ?? Where ride quality is important..
Interior fit finish, plastics quality is good in japanese & korian car.
They are making more & more lighter car ignoring saftey stdrds reducing cost , because they know Indians are obsessed with car mileage & looks. We Indians , do not understand important of saftey features in the car.. like ABS , AIR BAG which increase the cost. And they are making fool of us..
BUT, IT IS SAD THAT ....Most so called internet car specialist talks lot about plastics gap, fit finish... not metioning that indian cars are also providing the important saftey features at low cast to the people. No one will discuss about this ...
And I own Bolt - DIESEL (XMS) car , which is 10 monts old , run 8000 KM...

I felt the Figo's acceleration is not that spontaneous after every gear shift through out. Which petrol car do you recommend me Figo or Swift ?

No, it's not true, the service cost of Ford is on par with Maruti Suzuki.
Mileage for the petrol isn't great though.

1.2 motor after run in of 5 thousands km comes into its own... Its the smoothest motor because its a 4 cylinder and the stability of the car, not to mention the heavy doors and solid brakes
Jayeh, these are not entry-level hatchbacks, cars like the Celerio, i10, Indica (or the upcoming Kite) are the entry-level hatchbacks.

Ford is suggested because you are saying to travel 1000km/month so ford is more dependable and reliable then suzuki

Also I liked the gear shifting by Dr. Khan.. Seems to be a pro, quick and perfect shifts. None of the reviews have exactly same 0-100 figures if the Figo despite of the VBOX usage.. I guess this difference can be well attributed to the person driving the car.. Shifting point (as per engine, 4k for this turbo diesel) and time taken in shifting can easily result in up to 1 second difference.

Hello, I own a car I love that gives me just 5km/litre on premium petrol. I drive about 2000 km/month of which about 1200 is in the city so it's pretty obvious I need a back up car. Mileage this time is really important to me but at the same time the driving dynamics. So does the diesel Ford really give 20+ in the City? Also, how is the body roll, if so would it help if I upgraded to konis?
Worth mentioning I have constant back problem also.
Body roll is well contained, city mileage is 18 km/l. You can go for modifications after 5000 kms to really see if you need them.
