- The Bell UH-1Y Venom (also called Super Huey) is a twin-engine, medium-sized utility helicopter, built by Bell Helicopter under the H-1 upgrade program of the United States Marine Corps. One of the latest members of the numerous Huey family, the UH-1Y is also called "Yankee", based on the NATO phonetic alphabet pronunciation of its variant letter.
The Bell AH-1Z Viper is an American twin-engine attack helicopter, based on the AH-1W SuperCobra, that was developed for the United States Marine Corps as part of the H-1 upgrade program. The AH-1Z features a four-blade, bearingless, composite main rotor system, uprated transmission, and a new target sighting system.

It saddens me that I didn't get to join but watching all these videos of the finest men or women in action wether war game training or actual battle fields makes my heart feel that much more prouder that I'm an American citizen. My heart and prayers to all of you on the armed forces leading our Country on the path of freedom.
If it comes down to protecting the home front just give me a weapon and I'll proudly be right there beside you. I'm 53 and still have a lot of fight left in this old ass of mine.
The air power we have is out standing, the forces on the ground is not to be messed with and those on and in the seas are a special breed of their own. The US and our Allies are ready for the fight to bring Hell on Earth to all the enemies.

Oh the joys of WTI. Spent many of days supporting this exercise from either the bomb dump at Station Weapons, the CALA, AUX II, LZ Bull, or all the above depending upon the unit I was with. MALS-13, VMA-211, HMLA-167, and HMM-764.

The Future Vertical Lift program is to replace the older generation of helicopters with a new group of rotorcraft.
This all looks wonderful doesn’t it? Unfortunately to many others have near the same and it’s sad to think of the deaths on both sides for the non coms. I wish politicians would think before they send out our kids to die.

This is just to the north of Yuma, AZ. The village that they are 'attacking' is known as Yoda Ville. The video looks to be from WTI (Weapons & Tactics Instructor) course at MAWTS-1, this course is held twice a year. Temperatures in this area in the summer can reach 118. The aircraft are loaded at MCAS Yuma, or at the FARP known as AUX II. There are other FARPS out in California, LZ Bull is one, and the pilots conduct training in the Chocolate Mountains just to the north of El Centro.
