@loafofchihuahua Imagine you are stuck in one building with a zombie apocalypse outside. You have the choice of being miserable and scared, or you can experience non-stop happiness and relief. That's basically what's happening. They're *choosing* to be like that because of their circumstances.

@@gearscore349 Pretty much this, the Solarians are dying a slow death to a plague (that Eigong created while trying to achieve immortality) and Eigong managed to make it worse by creating mutants so whomever is left in Nuwa's area pretty much sunk to that because reality is just that awful. Its either that or live in constant fear at whom becomes the next mutant or whom melts away to the plague.
Its technically better then what happened to poor Lady Ethereal and the people she was looking after.

I love how at the start and some other parts main vocal is a bit distorted male representing Fuxi, which reflects his condition and the fact that its no longer him by this point, and female vocal adding a lady Ethreal's leitmotif, representing Nuwa and her refusal to face reality of death of her zombified brother.

@@kolyashinkarev7366 It's not very important most of the time. The only point in the game where it felt like you were neutering yourself by not using it is against Jiequan's red attack which sometimes clips you even if you dash through it.
Every time I die this theme slowly fades with the beat and I vibe with it.

Fushi/Fuxi and Nuwa are serpentine gods in ancient Chinese mythology. In one version they gave birth to the whole human race, and in another version Nuwa alone made the human species out of mud and clay. The snakebite summon attack and paintings on the walls before the boss arena allude to their "original form".
The opera they listened to, however, is "Mu-Hu Guan/The Mu-Hu Pass", a story in Song Dynasty (10-13 century)...That does not sound as ancient as the characters are.

This game needs a boss rush mode, or any content updates really
Every game should have an option to refight their bosses whenever the player wants.
It hasn't even been a month. Don't expect anything soon. Still, if we do get any type of update in the future, a boss rush is absolutely needed. The bosses are my favorite part of this game, and it would be so fun to have one.
It would be fantastic to have something like Hollow Knight's "Hall of Gods" system

@@gearscore349 They said they were gonna focus on bug fixing and porting to consoles before considering any content updates, but that a boss rush mode would definitely be a consideration.

Самый любимый босс. Почему-то из всех персонажей больше всего прониклась именно ими. Они всё делали для своего клана и занимались любимым искусством. Их единственный грех заключался в черезмерной одержимости друг другом
Привет из прошлого, заодно повод вспомнить про nine sols.
В целом кроме умеренной для подобного клана напыщенности им трудно что-то предъявить, даже их тусовки в итоге давали людям хоть какую-то мотивацию не погрузиться в сон навеки, однако клан Фенг в целом вероятнее всего одни из тех кто несёт ответственность за создание вируса. Давление на всем нам знакомую учёную-пенсионерку в исследованиях бессмертия оказывались в том числе и кланом Фенг, которые грозились обрубить финансирование проекта, иными словами они были одними из тех кто форсировал это исследование.
Злая ирония в том, что именно де факто лидер клана Фенг в итоге был так изуродован изобретением на их же деньги

This is probably my favorite track in the entire game. The Chinese opera singing mixed with the pounding drums and fittingly trippy music is freaking AWESOME.
Nuwa might as well have said to the drummers in the back - "Boys! Give me one with a BEAT!"

I see some brief resemblace of the female vocals to the piano melody of Lady Ethereal's theme at some points, interesting.
Listen to Ji's theme and Yanlao's theme again. It's a recurring leitmotif.

Many Chinese opera performances share a similar set of tunes, one of which that became famous was the Bao Zheng's line, the so called "Ching Cheng Hanji". There are many other Chinese opera plays have the same rhythm and tune.
