90s Grunge & Supermodel Glam Makeup Tutorial

- I love the 90s so much that if you asked me to do a Furby inspired makeup I'd probably do it. To start simple and slightly less weird than that, here is my take on an inspired 90s grunge look, and an inspired glam look of the 90s supermodels. I took some other popular 90s makeup styles and mixed them with one of these two looks, so I could cover as many trends as possible. Mix and match the brows or lips you like the best, and dust off your beanie babies cause they gotta be worth something someday.

Im glad I was not really into following trends in 200. My eyebrows are still bold and natural, I only tweezed to avoid a unibrow... I really did my own makeup thing but sometimes it seemed a bit grunge meets gothic

Nope. The smudged look came from sleeping in your makeup and most likely no sleep. We didn't look that messed up on purpose. It came natural! Lol

this is and will always be my favorite tutorial. maybe because the 90s was the best time to grow up in. I wish I was born earlier. Feb 11th, 98' but grew up with older siblings and that means the 90s didn't end until like 2004 😂

I find it funny that the 90s grunge look with the dark red lips and the kohl lined and smokey eyes and the thin brows is almost exactly what women did in the 1920s. Except without the short, curly hair and dresses.

This is a FANTASTIC educational tutorial!! I think it would actually make a cool series - 2 looks for every decade, starting in the 40's. You excel (where other tutorials could work on), are the small motions that are probably second nature to a makeup artist, but unknown to us. For instance, working the brush in the crease is more then just a sweeping motion, you reminded us to move the brush in small circles as we got to the center of the eye, or where to stop eye liner. I LOVE tutorials like this! :-)
For some reason before the black eye shadow, the grunge eye shadow bit reminded me of Gerard Way. Maybe I'm a bit TOO obsessed with MCR...

️Hahah, I feel ya, believe me I do. It shouldn't be a secret or a surprise that one of the job perks of doing makeup tutorials on UA-cam is being sent makeup by various companies to try new products out. So a lot of what I use has been given to me for free.
I could not afford, and would not want to spend so much money on makeup because I think you don't need a million products to be able to do a huge range of looks. But I am happy to try out new things and find new favorites if a company wants me to give theirs a go.
Some people get paid to use products in their videos, even- and it's essentially the same as a brand paying for advertising at that point. I have not done any paid videos at the moment, but if/when I do, that will be disclosed.

Thin brows were a trend for way longer than the 90s. As a 90s babe myself, I find that a lot of adults like my mom are still wearing 90s brows and I admit I prefer a thinner brow lol

I started listening to ace of base when I was really little, and I'm one of those people who just have to know the actual words to the song because it drives me crazy when I can't figure out what it is so I knew very early that it was called I saw the sign.
