  • How to actually locate and replace the blower motor fuse in a 2013 and similar Toyota Camry. Also, how to test your blower motor to find out why the fuse might have blown in the first place. As others have mentioned, there's a possibility of a second bolt horizontally at the lower front of the fuse cartridge. The vehicle in the video didn't have this.

How long did the entire job take? Removing old and putting new one in?

Same happened to me from criss crossing jumper cables. Blower wouldn’t work, replaced fusible link and blew again. Same as you I had blower on. I’m thinking the blower is shot. Diagnostics six because that fusible link is almost $30 so with each test your throwing away $30.

Hey Did you ever get this figured out. I had to change fuses for my AC in my 2015 Camry. Once I did, it started working again. It was a 10A and two 7.5A fuses under the steering wheel.

Literally the same thing happened to my camry, I changed the cassette fuse and it burnt out agian. So now gotta troubleshoot why the fuse keeps short-circuiting

Most likely a bad blower motor.

WAIT… hold off on everything before you start pulling out the cassette fuse. It is not true that you are able to pull out the fuse after a single bolt removal. I trusted this video and believe it meant well but hear me out. I did just that. Removing one bolt trusting there’s no other bolt at the bottom according to this video’s instructions and broke my fuse box. I used force to pulled out the fuse after removing the top bolt and the one prong stayed down the fuse box and the fuse broke off. Thanks for the mis-information.

Maybe it depends on the model, or maybe someone previously worked on the car and left the bolt out. My 2013 Venza definitely has a 2nd bolt because it aint budging.

My experience was that the lower forward bolt was missing and so only one bolt was removed as outlined in the video. I'll edit the video to include a possibility of a second bolt being used.

Hope you can reply, i have a 2009 Camry and the fuse layout is exactly the same but removing that bolt does nothing and the shroud you pointed out lifts up just enough but you fuse still does not budge.. The probability of the second bolt is likely but there doesn't seem to be a location to access anything under the fuse shroud.

There is a second bolt. On the vehicle I used to film thos video, the bolt must have been missing. I still get hate mail for that. If I remember correctly its a 10mm. You can judge the position of it by looking at the holes on your new fuse

@@BlakesGarage1 Thanx, i ended up pulling out the battery and the battery plate to access the bolt for the fuse box + the 2 on the side of the car plus the clips on the box itself, but i couldn't get that to budge so still no luck seeing any access to a 2nd bolt for the fuse.
Saying that with the battery out i had a much clearer access to see the side of the fuse and other then possibly the very first one closest to the engine wall which is half obscured by the fusebox housing, they all look intact. I also tried arcing all 3 of the fan relays to no avail so i guess the motor is stuffed :(
Wouldn't care so much for now if we weren't heading into winter in Sth Australia and it's been ALOT colder then average this year and i work early in the morning near the ocean
      .

What I didn't like about your video is you not filming how you replaced the blower fuse, you only explained how you removed it, you should always film how you fix issues in vehicles that's what DIY video is all about. Thanks for the video.
