The Timothy Taylor's beer I really want to try is Golden Best. Years back a friend of mine apparently sessioned it and was heartbroken when he had to leave the pub at the end of the night.
Thanks for fulfilling My request mate. sorry it wasn't a great beer. I am from Durham originally but now live in New Zealand. We can get landlord and boltmaker over here which i buy often but cant get any of the other TT offerings. I was curious to see what i might have been missing and i'm actually i tiny bit happy i'm not missing too much with this one. excited for the knowle spring review.
Bloody 'ell, Adnams in trouble! Seriously worrying if that brewery goes down the pan ... I know a visit to the boozer is getting expensive but we gotta support our local pubs. Some peeps on Twitter doing a great job ie Chelsea Dan promoting our heritage. Great episode by the way and love the history and what's wrong with a good old rant ...
this is the endtimes. Pubs that have been with one family for centuries, closing. Same with breweries. They survived both famine and war, but not modernity.
For me Fuller's Black Cab stout was far too bitter. I tried to like it... I love Pride, ESB and 1865 but the Black Cab stout... no. My Oxfordshire local serves perfectly kept Landlord on cask. Over the years I've tried Landlord in other pubs in the Home counties and always felt you had to go to the People's Republic of Yorkshire (especially around Keighley) to find a perfectly kept example of this classic beer. No longer. The Fleur de Lys in East Hagbourne has smashed it with the Landlord. A great pub, quintessentially English.
Blimey what a let down..was expecting a copper, mahogany colour..ill stick with landlord, Boltmaker and the Dark Mild...ive always said for a good English Ale, Goldings, Fuggles and Challenger are the best hops...Target n Bramling Cross are also decent..lets hope Adnams survive, cheers Bob👍ps dont get me started on the tories or the Royal Family👊👊 pps...go and live on a canal boat, its best ever😂
Hang on a min. You were in The French Foriegn Legion?
I really hope Adnams pull through. I can't imagine life without Broadside.

It's a lovely easy going session beer...one of the last great Pennine Light Milds. Delicate lightly hopped floral flavours and quality👍🍺
Perry’s mild until the 1950’s was a pale mild
