- Hi Guys and welcome to Sunday's vlog! It's been busy at the house since returning from Montana and I'm so excited for all the upcoming renos at the house! My friend Eric has a new podcast and I was a guest (coming out in two weeks) so make sure to go support him! Had dinner and caught up with the boys and we discuss my stance on a former friends' dangerous behavior. (starts at 25:01)
To those affected, I am so sorry and I hope you are able to heal and grow, you deserved better. To everyone who follows along my journey, thank you for your patience, feedback and kindness. I will do better moving forward with who I blindly support and align with socially and be more forthright about speaking on things that may not directly affect me, but reflect on my character, due to my place in this this industry.

Oh dear, I'm one of those people who didnt think Daniel didnt really need to speak up about Colleen.
Truthfully, I'm deeply annoyed at people attacking both him and Joey over their videos wherein they praised Colleen and scolded Gabbie. Gabbie Hanna came at them with regards to their professional reputation and moral character. Why the hell should they not have stood up for themselves and set the story straight? And what a dumbass thing to do to compare Gabbie to Colleen. Colleen did not go after Daniel and Joey the way Gabbie did; Colleen being shitty person does not absolve Gabbie of her many many many wrongs (I'll never forget how she treated JessiSmiles - so vile). Also did Daniel help groom or emotionally abuse minors wiith Colleen? Was he aware of the creepy extent Colleen was involved with her fans? Did Daniel promote that kind of behaviour on his own channel? No. Also I'm glad he stayed silent for as long as he did because there are legal issues concerned - not just with the possibility of Colleen suing hin for defamation but also what with the gravity of the situation. Trisha alleged that Colleen apologized to her for distributing her nudes (which were behind a paywall) without her knowledge to minors. Which is a grave crime.
I don't think it is wrong to expect that in such situations, people associated with the alleged perpetrator let the court of law and relevant authoriries speak up. Because that's what matters more than character witnesses like Colleen's acquaintances speaking up for or against her.
I'm not going to touch the James Charles issues right now but as for Colleen - why was it terrible for him to say he was close to Colleen back then? Do y'all think abusers are just trolls who live in the sewers and then jump unsuspecting people? No unfortunately they can make up a respectable reputation and gain friends which is a frightening reality. What a black and white thing to assume that abusers never have good friends or fans - (and to make it seem like as if in every single case the abuser is being enabled by friends and family). It is kind of victim blamey to imply that. Imagine if you were in that situation and someone told you - oh you couldn't have been abused by XYZ, they have so many good friends! As if there was something wrong with the abused to have been harmed by such a popular person.
I'm just tired of fans' needs to deify and idolize these personalities. I like Daniel a lot but the man is not my friend and he shouldn't have to feel like he's bound to be the public's mouth piece.

I just finished a course for work (at an elementary and middle school) about abuse and grooming and how to recognize it. It’s not just random sewer dwellers, it’s people who have a legitimate relationship with a child/children that people don’t question. It’s when the adult starts blurring the line and introduces a sexual aspect to relationship. A lot of the time the adult doesn’t even have the intention to harm at first but when the lines start blurring it becomes more likely that intention is also starting to shift. The victim usually doesn’t even realize it is inappropriate, and neither do observers.
There should be no shame for anyone who had a close relationship with a person who did these things and didn’t know. It’s not a easy thing to spot, especially when it you only see the legitimate part of the relationship.
Absofuckingluty! You hit the nail on the head , just because Daniel knows Colleen doesn’t mean he has to speak up on all the allegations he’s not a witness in a court hearing. This isn’t guilty by association! People need to stop putting this massive amount of pressure on other people that knew Colleen to then speak about these allegations. It’s like calling a witness about this case and the witnesses knows nothing ! 🤍

Tbh I feel you've addressed this poorly. If you didnt feel like you were close or friends with her, why did it take you so long to respond? Makes no sense if she literally means nothing to you.
I hope you mean it when you say you'll do better about the people you associate with and standing up for others. I have always enjoyed your content, and you seem like a genuinely kind person. People can be nice to you but be shitty to others and hide that behavior. The victims that have come out have very serious allegations, and you should have taken it seriously to begin with. Its easy to watch others do things and say nothing and watch.

(From my own graphic design background & helping with interior design): You CHOOSE the color from the swatch you want but you BUY the next lightest color on the swatch. Why? A large wall/space of a color is much more intense than the swatch can show. You'll get the effect you want this way.

I used to wear Z Cavaricci pants from the late 1980s. They are high in the waist, billowy through the top of the leg, pleated in the from the waist band, deep pockets and cut narrow and nice stitching at the lower leg. I think you might like them. I found mine barely used from consignment stores.

I just did a deep dive on this Colleen stuff and from what I gather this kid accused her of stuff in 2020, she apologized publicly, and then he brought it up again when another girl said some stuff. That girl backed out immediately when she realized this was going too far. A girl named Becky was upset because she wanted to do the "ho" skit but instead got a different skit with a fart. Some other dude went off on Colleen and her ex and turned out he made it all up. This is para social debauchery. One kid who runs a DRAMA channel nearly ruined this women's life because she wasn't paying him any attention anymore.
I tried to make her quilt of grooming but my deep dive showed me how f'd up your life can get because people think they know you.
Thank you for addressing the situation. I really hope you see who James truly is and not support a person who admitted being a predator.

I literally watched her vlogs daily so it was extremely hard for me to believe the allegations and look at the situation unbiased, but as time has gone on, I am blown away that she has not given an apology of any kind. I don't hold it over your head that you didn't address what was going on at all. Especially now that I know it was triggering some dark places for you. You don't owe anybody anything and the fact that you did speak up shows that you felt safe enough in your own mental health space to come out and talk about it shows that you were absolutely troubled by the whole thing. There will be something very freeing in living an honest, authentic life. It will be so less exhausting to just do your thing, and what makes you happy.I watch because I love you design aesthetic, and your talent for finding treasures in thrift stores that bring you joy. Trust in yourself. People will gravitate to someone who denounces those who bring harm to minors. I am telling you I am sensitive to eye creams and a year ago I started using eye serum‘s and I am enjoying them so much more, I am obsessed with the Kate Somerville one right now. Like I actually see a difference and maybe as you get older you’ll see the difference to I think that’s the key to eye serums. I have been loving the glow recipe niacinamide. I honestly haven’t really been following the whole Coleen case but I heard long story short on what’s been happening. However from my memories, you have always been someone who’s always stayed out of the wrong side drama. I’m hoping everyone realizes that even the some of the best people make mistakes. It’s like watching a friend :) if you ever think Monty has allergies, I’ve been giving my golden local honey and local pollen and it’s been helping a ton with his ears and allergies. Addressing the Colleen situation should've been its own video. I feel like it's not giving proper space to the issue to toss that at the end of a vlog. Especially when you're sitting there talking about something so lighthearted as doing your makeup right before. Just my personal opinion.
