Before my father died many years ago, people from all around used to bring him injured and abandoned birds, he was famous locally for it; he built shelters all over the house and garden and nursed dozens and dozens of birds back to health.
Many refused to leave and some migratory species we released would visit us every summer when they returned for years after we released them. The affinity my father had with these birds was incredible, they seemed to instantly see him as one of their own
That’s amazing my friend.
❤️
This gave me chills ❤️ absolute legend x
Thank you for the kind comments. I have wonderful memories of my father digging up worms in the garden with our Rook called Rocky impatiently waiting on his shoulder.
He taught him to fly shortly afterwards and released him to a rookery near our home, we would often walk there in the years proceeding and Rocky would spot us and come say hello
Wow Birdman 😀
I am sure your father was a great man!
I love that she flies to other people not just her parents it’s like a little kid finding an adult when they’re lost
Chibi was most likely looking for this kind couple. Nice to see it is not afraid of other people.
Animals will like you if you feed them. Be it a dog or a lion. Feed them, and they will come!
Hand reared bird will come near the most approachable human that they see.it won't end up good if that people catch it instead of taking care of it. Many pet bird lost this way.
I love that too. Yes, your observation of comparing it to little children going to other adults is spot on.
Actually it is not safe. Not all people are friends. Not all dogs or cats are friends.
Imprinted birds are really not safe to release. As sweet as it may seem.
I, too, raised a baby sparrow that had fallen with a destroyed nest during a storm. It had no feathers; I did the best I could and it bonded with us to the point it would not leave. Short story, it lived inside during winter--open cage--and outside during summer, again open cage. She would sing so beautifully; she lived 5 years--we sure missed her when she passed. To us, she was beautiful!!
❤️ Fabulous of you.
Animals are souls too. Like us, they have thousands of lives. In heaven they are looked after by a spiritual master named Prajapati’til it’s time to reincarnate. Often they go back to the same person or family. They change species as well. Even Buddha recalled lives as various animals. Sing HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU to remember who u are as soul. The HU is on many YT channels & the one w/ the quotes is great.
I 100% believe you 🥰☺️✌🏾
@@janetpattison8474 You're for the bird. So what? So hu you say. Silence is where it's at while flapping your wings.
My heart just melted! The couple shouldn't feel they have to apologize for loving the little sparrow as they would a child. I know how they feel! Chibi obviously loves them back. ❤😍

The fact that a bird can actually remember and differentiate people is amazing.
better not go to far , even if she can remember people she can also easely lose herself so they have to be watchfull all the time when they go out whith her
Humans can do that too, and so can so many other creatures. We just forget that we are not that much different in certain aspects.

What wonderful, kind, people. These are the kind of people I want to hang out with.
That’s the biggest compliment for a wild animal to want to be your friend. That means you gave them so much respect and kindness that they trust you genuinely. You can’t fake that kind of trust with wild animals. How sweet this bird ❤️
Or they fed it. Either way. Pretty cool.
@@giantELF its a spiritual connection. You people deny G_D and now the entire planet is spiritually crying. Oh well. The darkness has been summoned. The animals will get nicer because there are entire species being exterminated. Amen ua-cam.com/video/n7rjEEk7q9M/v-deo.html
Animals show gratitude, unlike mankind.. My Tsitsi kissed my hand as I was holding her just before she left her last breath. I tried so many times to send her away and she would always come back. No one believed a sparrow could act like that. House, yard, everything seems empty without her flying and chirping around..
@@luckythemalecanary1168 Plenty of humans show gratitude. There are hundreds of videos online that demonstrate mankind's capacity for kindness - like this one. I see this attitude a lot on these animal-related channels. It grieves me to think of all these people that have been so hurt by life that they view humankind in such a bad light. The truth is that there is evil in this world and people do bad things to each other and to other living things, but there are also wonderful people with tremendous love in their hearts. There are people in this world that are willing to do anything to help another in need. Take care that you never lose site of that.

We have a sparrow who is 14 yrs old now. We saved her when she fell out of a nest as a featherless newborn. At the time we did not realize her wing and foot were damaged so as she grew up she didnt fly well. She has been a wonderful pet and has gone camping and walking with us also, riding on our shoulders or heads.💞

I raised a house sparrow that was thrown out of its nest, because it was born deformed. So I took it in and placed in an incubator. I named it, ‘Peep.’ He couldn’t fly because of its deformity. I took care of it for several years. He lived for 9 years. That was long ago. I still miss him. :(
All the animals are way more intelligent than we do think. Also, they have lots of more empathy one another, no matter which breed they are than we do. We have got to learn a lot from them. Good job! You raised him setting him free. God bless you!
Except for those hairless animals. What are they called? Oh, yeah: homo sapiens. Way LESS intelligent than they think they are :)
@@DieFlabbergast pretty much of that, dude. I couldn't agree more. God bless you! Or whatever you believe in. You are still being blessed.
Unlike animals we have been taken away from the wisdom of the earth. You see the earth is alive growing food from seed and life from seed in wombs. The animals know they are 1 with the earth. Mama Nature as beautiful.
@@edenswaterislife9214 I couldn't agree more. The Universe is elegant. We, so selfish.
Problem is most people do not learn squat from nature. but for some like this couple there are exceptions. We have a pet raccoon. Got him since he was a few days old we carried him around in our shirt pocket! Now 2 years later? yeah he "owns" the place. goes boarding in the Atlantic, climbs trees, he's everywhere. but he NEVER leaves our property. He has a huge cage in one of our rooms and no sense in locking it because he can open it from the inside as fast as we can open it from the outside so we just leave the door open (but HE sometimes closes AND locks it!). That's his "home" and where he sleeps (mostly in the day as they're pretty much nocturnal). They're neat as hell. When you give him something to eat he takes it with his "hands" and eats from there. you don't give it to him by mouth like a dog or cat he won't take it that way. He loves the water and has absolutely NO odor cleaner than a cat and "potty trained" himself at 4 weeks. and only does his business in the same place if he's indoors.. a spot in his cage. They eat just about anything even tobacco!
I also found a baby sparrow, called "Pixel" and he was sooo tiny and not sure he would make it, bcs everybody said he wouldn't ,he was too weak. Well, don't believe what others say, Pixel grew up, very strong and one day he flied away. Hope he is fine, flying free with a sparrow gf.🤎

Love this!! I had a Budgie---so smart, sweet, bossy.
I love birds, basically all animals! Before having my dogs, I started caring for budgies & a hamster. Then after my tiny babies perished from old age, that's when I gradually transitioned to my small breed dogs. As much as I loved caring for my precious budgies & hamster, I didn't want to continue getting more afterwards because it's too heartbreaking when they die. Small birds & hamsters have a very short lifespan and my heart can't take the sorrow of losing them because their lifespan only averages 2-5 years. So gave it to a friend who rehabilitates rescued animals and give them their natural lifestyle.
After 5 years I still can't forget that sweetie 🤎
If birds were born in cage they can not survive if you let them free. They are not able to feet themselves.
A few years ago, we rescued a baby northern red Cardinal bird. We did the same steps for him. Like Chibi, he refuses to leave despite him being totally free to do whatever he wants. If the outside weather is not good, he wants to be inside with us. Inside, his favorite place to be is on our Dwarf Ficus tree. Winter months, he's inside most of the time.
