One of the truest rock singers ever, his pedigree is flawless!! He even performed with a broken leg with pins so as to not disappoint his fans. True rock star!
This whole album was amazing! But my intro to the Foo Fighters is still my favorite, "Learn to Fly"! If you haven't already reacted to that song, give it a shot!
Amazing band!!!!! Dave was devastated when Kurt died but he was able to pull himself up and make some GREAT music. I dont know if we would have ever realized how truly talented he is if he never went out on his own
I loved Kurt Cobain, but his heroin addiction was a toxic situation that interfered with the band and I think Dave would've left within a couple of years even if Kurt had lived.
@@dclogger same. Nirvana probably wouldn't have lasted too much longer If Kurt lived. Creative differences eventually would have put them on separate paths I think.
@@mztweety1374 an interesting comment. I disagree to an extent, as, from what I've read, Kurt was excited about some of Dave's songs - these eventually ended up on the first FF album, but could've been Nirvana songs if things went differently. Also awful timing from myself to comment, after Taylor's passing
I'm almost 65 years old....raised on soul music and rock...as an adult I mostly listened to blues and anything with a jazz feel...but the Foo Fighters are one of the best, tightest, socially aware bands ever...hard to pick a favorite song of theirs.
Easily the best band I’ve ever seen live. They are incredible a shame their drummer just passed. Walk is another incredible song by them. My favorite song ever.
Apparently some of the motivation for this song was his kids. He’s always been a rock rebel, but this song asks the questions of what happens if nothing changes and his kids need to take up the fight, he’s asking the question “what if” on their behalf
Great reaction! i absolutely love the Foo Fighters. I have severe anxiety and ptsd and their music has helped me through so much. Best of you is another great one. its one i put on and listen to repeatedly to help me mentally
One of my all time faves and though this came out several years ago damned if it doesn't express protests like BLM to what's happening now with Ukraine resisting the Russian invasion. One of the greatest bands of all times!!! He writes the songs & music, he is a true master but couldn't do it without the other band members. Dave is also a master drummer & Tyler is also a great drummer.
Dave Grohl is a GENIUS and a gift from the Music Gods!!! He went completely deaf years ago but is still rocking it today!!! My hero and role model and one of musics best Ambassadors for the future!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🎶🎼🎵🥁🎸🎹🎧🎙🎤💜💜💜

Hardcore song. Be yourself. Don’t buy into other peoples’ ideas of who/how you should be. Be principled; stand up for your morals and yourself. Be steadfast in everything. I like how The Foo Fighters ramped it up to an extreme level to make their point. Age has taught me how critical it is to stand up and be who you are. No need to defend who/how you are. No apologies. Our skin gets thinker against criticism and we are more comfortable in it.
You should actually listen to the real PRETENDERS with Chrissie Hyde - icon and rock n roll hall of fame member. For good reason. One of the orignals who started the NEW WAVE movement, icon - try ANYTHING from the first album. Classic gold.
This song, just like "I'll Stick Around" is one of a handful of songs supposedly written by Dave Grohl about Courtney Love. "What if I say I'm not like the others What if I say I'm not just another one of your plays You're the Pretender What if I say I will never surrender" Are just some of the lyrics hinting at their personal battle, his deep dislike of her "lies, fakeness & opportunist ways according to him and his I'll feelings towards her. But no matter what inspires him, the Foo Fighters put out awesome music!
Dollar 4 Dollar you will never invest your hard earned money in a concert ticket for a band like the FF. They always bring the goods. This band really doesn't take their fandom for granted.
I feel old! My intro to Foo Fighters is "This is a Call". It was always playing on the jukebox at the local bar. I was hooked. I THINK the next song I heard was "Monkey Wrench". Wow, almost 30 years ago! They came out rocking and never stopped! Dang. I want to hear those songs now!
Can’t believe I missed this one. Foo Fighters are one of my favorite modern bands! I know I request some different music but, this is my heart. Along with classical🤓🤠. Please check out “All My Life”. FF’s are my absolute favorite rock band ever. FYI: Dave (lead) is known as the kindest guy in rock and roll. It’s true. PLEASE DIVE IN TO THEIR CATALOG. My hero is a must react. You’ve got to love Taylor shredding on the drums.
Half of Nirvana is in this band, Dave Grohl AND Pat Smear. Nobody ever mentions poor Pat and the dude is a rock-n-roll veteran. He used to be in the legendary LA punk scene band The Germs.
Pat really didn't have any influence on any of the albums so far as I can recall. He was well liked and a positive influence on a band that was headed downhill with Kurt's heroin addiction.
Dave Grohl is the dude. He may be the last world renown rock star in the world. His drummer, Taylor Hawkins, got his big break drumming for Alanis Morissette. It may not be their biggest hit but I think Big Me or Aurora are two great Foo Fighters songs to check out. I think Aurora is one of the most beautiful rock songs ever. Even reacting to Dave telling stories is a trip. He did a fun interview with Desus and Mero where he talked about meeting Little Richard and jamming with Prince in an empty LA Forum.
Dave Grohl was outspoken and against the 8 LONG years that was the cheney/bush regime.
