I made a meatloaf (1/2 gr. beef - 1/2 Italian sausage) for this year’s Thanksgiving dinner. I decided I wanted to serve sautéed green beans and sautéed mushrooms as sides. I found this recipe and decided to try it. The sautéed mushrooms were absolutely incredible and they complemented the meatloaf perfectly. Thank you, Rockin’ Chef Robin, for this very tasty recipe and for your marvelous communication and teaching skills!
This video is timely! I just picked up 3 different varieties of mushrooms and was going to saute and add to a marinara sauce. But seeing the addition of garlic, butter & wine makes me think they would be so good on a ciabatta bruschetta. BTW I've had the same Susi garlic press for 20+ years. Thanks for the video 🍄
I find it better to put mushrooms directly on a hot pan without oil. That way the moisture comes out faster. And then add butter or oil when the moisture is reduced. :) But I like the idea of using paper towel to remove dirt. I never thought it that!
Thank you. I Was following your recipe while watching your video. I didn't have red wine or fresh parsley, but I use a little dry parsley and it gave them good flavor. This recipe it's great! Im going to add the delicious mushrooms to my pasta with broccoli 🥦. I'm a vegetarian, and love mushrooms. They are rich in VB12, that is so important to avoid leg Crums. I just read about it, because I was getting them. All Vegetarian people should make sure to eat everything that has VB12 and all the other Vitamins, also: protein, fiber, & calcium to be strong and healthy. Thanks again. Big blessing are going your way.

Hi Robin I usually saute with a touch of fresh garlic and white wine..use 1 clove of garlic sliced in butter then saute and remove the garlic and then simmer in a white wine for about 10 minutes
Thank you Rockin Robin! Great tips about the mushrooms covered, I'll skip those and get mine from a bin🤗 okay cut into quarters then slices is ideal👍I know what I'm adding to my dinner plans now! Jokes are a good chuckle😁
Melt butter in a pan, put in the mushrooms shake them round put the lid on and turn off the heat. Leave them until 20 minutes before you want them put them in a frying pan with whatever you want, butter, garlic or anything stir them round untill heated and going brown serve up..... simple
Great recipe, Rockin' Robin. Thank you very much! I know some people who save their Shiitake stalks, gently boil them and use the liquid as a stock. Haven't tried it myself, but maybe... Take care - and thanks for the jokes!! Peter A :) :) :)
Actually they are edible. I misspoke. The shiitaki mushroom stems are more woody and fibrous and less desirable where as the button and cremimi stems are easier to eat and are more soft like the cap. Therefore I just trim off the very end of them.
Made them tonite as I watched......BINGO! TheBest!! I'm a fan!
That's awesome! Thanks for being a fan and trying out the recipe!
My first time ever meeting Rockin Robin. Loved her! Great job Robin.
I add bread crumbs to the fry pan as well cook until they are crispy.Yummy!

😏Perfect paring! ❤️🤭
Yay! Thank you!
Thanks so much, is there an alternative for the wine
You could leave the wine out. Just go with olive oil.
Sauteed mushrooms are a very tasty thing. Garlic and mushrooms are a great pairing. Cheers, Robin!
Hi Dwayne! These are tasty for sure! Hope you give em a go!
Hi Rockin - do you think it will be good to add balsamic vinegar in place of red wine or can be used both? Thank you!
I love balsamic vinegar and I would be willing to try it. Give it a go and let us know how it turns out!
Thank You!
You are welcome!

Those mushrooms look so yummy! Never thought about adding red wine so I will try that. Have you ever added white wine fir a sweeter taste?
Hi Maria, you can use either type. I like the red but white works too!
I get shrooms from Imperfect Produce. DS is no fan of shrooms. Which is why I sauteed some off and topped my spaghetti with the fungi. MAGNIFICO!
😋 delicious
Yummy 😋👍🍄
No shrooms on ice cream, check. I did see chilies in and on ice cream when I was overseas, it was good! Chilies in peanut-butter too!
I don't like mushrooms at all....BUT, you make them look so good! 😂
Thanks! You should try this recipe and see what you think!
I have always rinsed mushrooms over cold water then wrap them around paper towels and dry them. Is that bad to do?
No. I wash the mushrooms like that.
Yum!
Thank you Doctor Jekyll!
Great recipe, Rockin' Robin. Thank you very much! I know some people who save their Shiitake stalks, gently boil them and use the liquid as a stock. Haven't tried it myself, but maybe... Take care - and thanks for the jokes!! Peter A :) :) :)
You’re welcome Peter! I think saving those Shitake mushrooms is a great idea!
💚 the 🍄 the joke at beginning of this yt video! Thanks from your tutorial.
You are very welcome!
I laughed out loud at the Fun ghi joke, great joke! :D
lol, thanks for watching!
Dont salt them until they are completely caramelized and browned.
Why?
I wouldn't put them on ice cream either. It spoils the flavor of the mustard topping.
Why is the stem not edible?.
Actually they are edible. I misspoke. The shiitaki mushroom stems are more woody and fibrous and less desirable where as the button and cremimi stems are easier to eat and are more soft like the cap. Therefore I just trim off the very end of them.
Comeon, try it on ice cream :).
Maybe on vanilla ice cream! Hahaha!
@@RockinRobinCooks 🤣🤣🤣
Just PLEASE put a link to the written recipe. Why don't you?
This is a video on How To not Saute Mushrooms
Why is impossible to have balanced conversation with a female mushroom? Because shiitake too much
Very cute!!!
Hysterical!!! That's definitely a keeper!!! 😁😂🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
I don't get it.

Your jokes are hilariously corny and not funny😂
