Manchester United 1 QPR 4
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 чер 2010
- On The 1st Of Jan 1992 QPR Travelled To Old Trafford Hoping To Stop Uniteds League Title Charge In A Live Televised Game. Many Pundits Had It Down On Paper As An Easy Win For The Red Devils, Even After Rangers Six Game Unbeaten Run. But It Was Rangers That Took Them To Hell. It Was A Day After Alex Fergusons Birthday However There Was Nothing To Celebrate. QPR Came Flying Out The Blocks And Scored Twice Inside Five Minutes With Goals From Andy Sinton And Dennis Bailey. United Were Shocked And QPR Passed The Ball Neatly With Simon Barker And David Bardsley Looking Impressive. In The Second Half Bailey Got His Brace Before United Had Even Troubled The R's Goal. They Managed To Pull One Back In The 82nd Minute But QPR Soon Restored Their Three Goal Lead With Baileys Hatrick, The Last Ever League Hatrick Of An Away Team At Old Trafford.
(MAN U -ALEX FERGUSON QUOTE - On My 50th Birthday We Lost 4-1 To QPR)
It has only taken 29 years, 9 months and 24 days for another player, in Mo Salah, to match this! Well done Dennis! What a long-standing record!.
Dennis was my teacher in pe last year
Dennis Bailey scored over 20 goals in his first Season for Birmingham. Good striker but we always shifted him out to the wings. He still lives in Birmingham, i was his postman for years. One day he had a special delivery which he had to sign for. He opened it up in front of me and it was a plaque from Manchester United saying he was still the last player to score a hat-rick at Old Trafford. This would of been about 2000. Nice touch from Man Unites that, recognizing it. And Dennis and his family are the nicest people you could meet.
Melvin Garvey Denis is my teacher
Nice story Melvin, like your surname too!
Nice story.
Cool story. I wonder if they’ll give Mo Salah a plaque too lol
Great comment.
Brian Moore the best commentator ever.
I agree with ya there mate I have always liked him has a commentator he gets u into the game I think and wen say the games going threw a boring patch he always trys to keep things rolling by talking about different things in the game, him john motson there will be never another lot of them kind , godbless you,
remember watching this on itv, great brian moore rip you legend, how times have changed for the worst for football.
Brian Moore was and always will be the best commentator. True professional and nice guy. RIP
So true ur comment mate I love football but back in the day it was better the fans the commentating just everything now its like money grows on trees for footballers no one is worth 100 million pounds wow imagine that back in the nineties if that happened football would of gone how it is today a lot quicker than 30 years for it to be a joke with the money, I use to like the standing, stay blessed godbless you
You get a hat trick at Old Trafford and your team mate kicks the ball in the crowd at the final whistle! Cheers pal 👍
LOL!
He got it back and went to the United dressing room to get it signed, brave man,lol !!
yes, kids. Ian Holloway was a player once upon a time! Gillingham fan here. Dennis Bailey was quality for us in 95/96!
One of the greatest of days!! and pissing Dennis Law off in the TV box behind us was the icing on the cake.
On the Stretford end that day pissed. United were more pissed than me. Well done Dennis Bailey. Three goals. Happy new year.
They looked pissed...terrible day, I was 15 and not expecting that...it was a sign of things to come that season, ie piss poor performances. We should have put that league to bed by March. We learnt a lot from that season that just made us stronger for the next 20 years or more
I went this game too I don't support united but I went with about 8 or 9 united fans who were my mates and I think it was my first old Trafford game it was this game or it was the friendly united had against the Republic of Ireland 1_1 score draw I always remember that mat against Ireland wen Steve Staunton got clattered and all the united fans sang that's what a scouser deserves lol good old time hay mate I loved the 90s miss everything about that decade I was 14 at this QPR match wow , godbless you,
as a blues fan I had a lot of respect for Dennis bailey kro
QPR for life
I'm not a QPR fan but I remember this was live and a real turn up!
Was at this match we deserved everything we got what a team it was they should show this in the dressing room before every game Dennis Bailey was magic
How many rangers we were up there that night?
Dennis Bailey... Still the last player in league football to score a hat trick at Old Trafford.
Monk!!!! No, Rooney, Van Nistelrooy, Van Persie and Ronaldo also have (to name a few).
For the opposition.... Duh
B S They didn't state that you contemptible twerp.
It's was patently obvious to everyone else, you don't get any points for being a smart arse.
B S Nope, it was incorrect and I corrected him. You wouldn't win 'The Chase' with an answer like that now would you wally?
QPR were awesome that night ,watched it on the Mozart estate with Richard . Great seeing Utd get beat
I was in 5th Ave a few hundred meters from you lol
God I miss this commentator
Brian Moore, one of the best there ever was
He used to scream like fuck in the early 70s.
Watched it live brilliant performance by bailey right up there when you consider the size of the club, in a time when your club gave english youngsters there chance
united outclassed. good rangers side.
in the Fergie years, even when we were dominating the league there would be one match every season where we would get an unexpected spanking.
There was several of those. It was to be expected of an all out attacking football team.
Yep true loved watching utd though
I wish we were still this good
andy sinton masterclass
Dennis Bailley played for non leage Stratford town a few years ago.I watched them on an FA cup run at Raunds and Bishop Stortford respectively. Bailley played in both but didnt score. The programme writers at both games claimed he got his Old Trafford hat trick playing for Crystal Palace! These errors are frustrating i wanted to shout Hey theres been a mistake it was for QPR and i watched it on tv ! ..i kept quiet ...until now !!!
Bailey is now a PE teacher in a secondary school
Excellent result Q.P.R.! ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️👍
What a fantastic match!!! Come on you R's!!?!!!
Watching this after Salah's hat trick for Liverpool at old trafford. Unbelievably, this was the previous league hat trick by an opposing player. 3 months shy of 30 years ago!!
That really put a dent in United’s momentum, they were very poor after this and found it hard to get more than 2 goals in a lot of matches, definitely had a psychological effect…
1:52 Holloway with HAIR!! 🤣
Watched this in the Goldhawk!
IN. THERE.
RIP Brian Moore.
Should of been 8-1 at least . Ran Utd ragged
I was at this game; United had been on fire all year & this was New Year's Day. My brother commented that the United players all seem hungover. They reckoned that wasn't the case but Utd barely contested a ball & Rangers smashed us for 90 minutes. Hmmm...
Cur Tail I was also at this disaster of a match, I was stood in my regular spot in the Stretford End above the middle tunnel slightly to the left freezing my teenage bollocks off, still a great season that I can remember more than anything from the last decade. Forest ruined our title hopes because we did them in the League cup final to create Utd history by winning that trophy for the 1st time , we also won the European Super Cup for our 1st & only time. Regards, David , Wythenshawe Red
I remember standing in the Stretford End for this game On New Year's Day And it was freezing, Luckily I had a lift because With it being New Year's Day There was an many buses running and I had to get all the way back to Wythenshawe. Thnks For the Memories, Regards David from Manchester England UK
What was the date and year for this match please? thank you.

Irrecognizable Utd, and superb QPR...
I remember watching this at the time, and the United players played like they were hungover...
Dennis Bailey great striker.
At 1:35 minutes: This is a classic and classical portrait of a man, somber, solemn and serene. It was *my eyes which became moist* as I saw this.
Baileys finest hour
this game cost us the Title to Leeds more than any of those 3 defeats right at the end to Forest, West Ham and Liverpool. No doubt about that !
That kid #14 who came on at half-time ... what happened to him ?
Not even joking Dennis Bailey is a sub teacher in my school😂😂😂
Remember watching this filed my blue heart with Glee MCFC
Who would have thought 21 years later that Giggs would still be United's key impact man.
Who had thought he never went world cup to this day as player or manager and beating women 22 years later
*32 years
and being unfaithful to his own brother! he is 💩
United were becoming a very good team at this time under Ferguson but they were well beaten in this match. I reckon the doubt crept in and they lost they lost the title because of it.
Is Liverpool's season kind of echoing Utd's as serious title contenders for many years? Both losing on new years day when it looked like they were running away with it up until then
The
Were out drinking nig
Bef
I never forget this match.
2021 still raises hairs 👊🏻
How the FUCK did we lose 4-1 at home to QPR? I mean What the FUCK. We should have lost by more too.
Makes me smile everytime
1:38 Alex is going to cry 😢 😭 🤣🤣🤣
Remember this game being age 13 going shoplifting in town centre lol
It took 17 years for another team to win by 4 goals at Old Trafford (Liverpool 2009)
QPR won by three goals not 4😂
@@nickcockayne7880 since then united have conceded 6 goals at home, twice! (Man C and Spurs)
Typical Rangers! The following Saturday the team lost 2-0 at Southampton in the FA Cup.
this is it, fuck success, be QPR it's always best
fohkin 'el, the way he shrugged Brucie off at the end!?
Went to this game.....Utd where shocking!
Dennis could of had 4 or 5 that day.
QPR having to travel up to Old Trashford on New Year’s Day. Holiday fixtures in those days tended to be local to minimise travel for the fans. Did the fixture computer blow a circuit or something?
Got back from an all nighter ,to watch this on tv with my Dad rip ,wish id gone straight up the M1 with the lads, or better still ,got me old man ,and gone to Manchester .
We all went to Southampton in the FA cup a week later ,we brought thousands there ,and we were dogshit !! but thats QPR for ya !
dennis bailey ma PE teacher 🐐
QPR best team ever go blue and white hoops
in the league!
this Dennis bailey guy was my pe teacher
HappY 30TH AnniVerSarY...
and for my 70th we lost to Blackburn 3-2...so what...I still have 19 more than you all do.
- Sir Alex Ferguson
Good comeback, Fergie; however, while the trophy is still in town, it's nowhere near you...but you are still the greatest domestic manager ever...no frontin.

Big attendance at the swamp 👀
Not like QPR were lucky or anything. It's sometimes so strange seeing Man U getting taken apart like this. Heavy NYE bash the night before?
Barley: I was wondering the reason of why this would happen. Never seen them get taken apart like this, even with all of this UA-cam digging.
agreed . Utd were already so unbelievably good by then that it seemed like Schmeichel was near impossible to beat . I remember the QPR goals going in in slow motion and me hesitating to celebrate because it felt too good to be true. One of my favourite upsets of all time.
Bruce and SAF birthdays the night before.....New Year's Eve!!!
@ No way. Not under Ferguson. There was a flu bug. sweeping thru OT at the time. Several players were feeling rough. Probably underestimated QPR aswell. I remember thinking how off the pace they looked in the match, so it's probably the reason why.
Giggs ended up against his namesake Clive Wilson
Just to be pedantic, this was actually the day after Fergie's 50th birthday.
Ripped them apart should have been 6
how did you loose to york
ooooooooooooo i forgot i saw this at primary school where i do right now i sneak comments on here
You were watching this in your Primary school on News year day!? Really?
What were Bailye's career statistics? How come no one has heard of him?
One-Hit Wonder lol
"Young Ryan Giggs". I wonder whatever happened to him?
Look at the state of the old Trafford pitch
Proper pitch love it.
Dennis baily is my teacher at school
I was in stretford end lol new year day think lol
Was Dennis Bailey a precursor to Les Ferdinand?
Dennis Bailey is my football manager for my team Birmingham city junior squad!
Looool Andy sinton used to be my football coach
United players were hungover from that weekend so I read
No,no they weren’t ! A few were suffering with flu that went through them,SAF was 50 the night before and all were still in bed !
Alleluia
Dennis Bailey halellua halellua
Bailey got a terrible leg-break unfortunately - was never the same player

Did you know that Dennis Bailey is TA at my school
Wow did u tell him you saw him score a hat trick at old Trafford?
Honestly, it could have been 6:1.
its my moms really this accoubnt
That man of the man graphic at the end is disgusting!
Wegerle could have made it 1-5
Empty sests
Our best away League result EVER:
It could have been much, much worse
3:22 unfaithful to his own brother and hits women. 💩 RYAN PIGGS. NOT A LEGEND ANYMORE. 🤣🤬
Fergie knows they were all hung over, its why he kept buying players and getting rid of the dross. No Robbo here either, so it doesnt count and should be wiped from the records. Butch Wilko played after his Milan eviction,
Worst United performance in the past 30 years.
Fair enough. One or the other.
To be fair there have been so many shocking performances in the past 5 years that I've lost count. The word abject springs to mind watching United at the moment.
