Man why does everyone hate on the rt when it can handle 600whp on a stick bottom end and I’ve seen 1200whp rts. And for all u hellcat fans u can stick a hellcat blower on a 5.7 and make very good power

I have a 2022 R/T 5-7L. I ran a 4.8 0-60 and a 13.2 1/4 mile at 108mph. My 60 foot was 1.57. It ain’t no slouch and it’s definitely a muscle car.

I love my RT Idc about what the next man thinks. When I had my two V6’s I loved those. When they go all electric ain’t none of that shit gonna matter anyway.
Everybody want that Hellcat or the SRT8 or the Scat Pack but I bet you if you walk into a Dodge dealership and they offer you the V6 or the RT already paid for no monthly note just yours they just want you to choose how many people would take the V6🤔

Id choose the v6. Better gas mileage. Like 72 miles difference between the sxt and rt. The scat and hellcat are worse obviously.

I think the electric operated dump valves for the exhaust are a great idea. I looked at both a 2011 SRT8 (6.4L) and a 2009 SRT8 (6.1L). Both cars had the factory exhausts removed and straight-piped. Cold start sounded great, but any deceleration or cruising had a drone that would drive you totally nuts. Expensive mistakes.
I picked up a 2014 Charger R/T Plus, 100th Anniversary Edition from a single owner a few weeks ago and the exhaust pipe sizes are pretty stout. Sounds pretty good when you're in the pedal, but I would like a little more rumble. Between the newer 8-speed auto and the exhaust valves, I might want to trade up to a newer version someday.

I've owned all of the different trim levels- RT is by far the best- you save a ton of money and it doesn't really take much to surpass hellcat levels of power. If these weren't built on an awful heavy, way outdated platform they might actually be good cars. But alas, they're a Dodge, and shits literally broken all the time. The upcoming I6 hurricanes have all forged internals, and will be a far better engine to make huge power. Let's not forget that the "HEMI" used in these cars isn't a real HEMI, more of a sales gimmick. They do have the splayed valve angle, but no hemispherical combustion chamber. These will never be collectors cars like real classic HEMI Mopars are. Just more modern throw-away cars, with a nice sounding V8. The move is to toss that boat anchor iron block, toss a nice lightweight LS in there, couple turbos later and you've got a 1500hp daily driver.
Lol only 375 hp. I grew up when 300 hp was a magic number for passenger cars

I think I will just get a scar pack over RT. I have a GT V6. I hear RT not too much difference just that it’s entry V8.
I’d save the coin and send it on a Scat. The R/T isn’t a bad car by any means. But you are going from 300 to 370HP. You’ll feel the difference mostly from the torque, but that’s it. You won’t be disappointed with that choice. Only once in my car sales, someone chose an R/T over a Scat because it’s too much car. Good luck.

Shit means chased a 392 down...and passed him the rt puts down more than 370...that's a fact but if u wanna go with Mopar numbers that's cool..but when these cars on the street..they get crazy and the 57 block is thicker so it takes more of a beaten..the v6 can but a problem to with mods
If i was smart, I’d get an RT and make it make hellcat power. Cheaper and less susceptible to theft like the scats and hellcats. But I’m not smart. Give me the scat

Im strongly considered a charger. I need awd but don’t wanna sacrifice having a v8. Any suggestions?
Am I the only one who things it should be the other way around? Like shouldn’t the GT have the 5.7 and the RT have the 6.4 and Scats should have the entry level Hellcat engine? I was always confused as to why they equipped their GT line Chargers and Challenger with a V6 instead of a V8 not that there’s anything wrong with that but the GT models aren’t exactly cheap either so I would expect a V8 in that trim but it is what it is.
Umm no lol, there are other cars inbetween that are better then the GT and RT, the Daytona and the srt8
@@nadevods2431 The Daytona has a 5.7 V8 too, no different from the RT aside from the special addition models they are making in 2023.

The rt does not make 370 to the wheels it makes like 300-330 they use the crank horse power so ppl like you reading this comment go wow that fast and want to buy it just like how a scat pack don’t make 485 how do I know I had a plumb crazy 07 Daytona marked at 350hp dynoed 2 times a cold run and a hot one car made between 290-320 but not 350
