Sadly, I won’t be able to do that since all the Equipment is in my college building and thanks to corona you can’t get any access without having a current project. I am really sorry, would’ve loved to make one.
Hi ,I am from Russia , sorry my bad English . It's Is amazing ,I am not a photographer and I am not a videographer ,I am learn Java and see you video , unreal engine very different ,cool
Glad you liked it! Honestly, I am not sure though if the tutorial will be possible since I’d have to gain access to a room at college and that’s closed due to COVID right now!
Without expensive LED walls you're basically replacing green screen work with more green screen work. Only difference is you have to create your set before shooting rather than in post. I wonder if there is a way to track the camera while displaying UE with a projector on a screen so no green screen at all.
Yes, it is more Greenscreen Work, but IMO it really does help during production. Ne as far as I know this is regularly used in higher production of there is no LED Wall available. I am sure could use a Beamer/Projector for the background but I don’t think it would look very realistic. You’d have to test that :)

good job 🤓 dafür das es schon zwei Jahre alt ist, bist du noch dran geblieben, was das Thema betrifft?
Interesting topic Max, but to make something like this even cheaper for a typical home-studio, would it not be easier to pair the cinema camera to lets say, a HTC vive controller, i'm pretty certain unreal engine lest you parent the camera to a controller.
Yes, you are absolutely right! And there are actually a couple tutorials on how to do that on UA-cam. I mainly used the optitrack system because it was available and should be more accurate for tracking the camera. But I haven’t used a vive tracker so I can’t say for sure. I am sure the vive will give you a good enough result to work with though!
What would you estimate total cost was for this setup? I already have a solid camera rig using a canon r5 with cinema lenses and years of experience with UE4/5. Any advice for a beginner into virtual prod looking for a cheap setup for comping into UE? Great stuff man!
Do you have any recommendations on tutorials for learning the output portion of this process? I haven't quite figured out how to "record". I've tried all the different sequencers, recorders and such. I can set up a scene, get my blueprints set up with my vive system and get a good track going and everything looks right when I hit simulate but from there I can't seem to actually capture the composited look into PNGS or a video file.
can you do this real time render monitoring with a camera that only has HDMI output (like a sony a7s3)? maybe using an external monitor next to the camera?
Yes it is. It worked pretty well actually, but this was my first try at Virtual Production and I honestly don't have a proper comparison camera. What I can tell you, it's helpful to have several SDI Inputs and Outputs.
Interesting. How are you able to use optitrack for camera position tracking? And how does it compare to systems like mosys? Any resource links regarding this?
what is your pc spec ? and you use laptop or pc be greatful for help looking to do this and also game and also work with VR headset and VR gaming too thanks
Yes, sadly it is way harder to get permission to use the equipment currently due to corona. Otherwise I would've probably created a tutorial showing how I actually did this stuff :D
I just downloaded unreal engine . I have no idea how it works, but I know I will learn it. Looking forward for more tutorials, thank you .
Please do an in-depth tutorial!!!It is really inspiring. Good job and stay safe!!!!!!!!

Thank you Mr, make us more such videos,
how to create or assemble the background in the background.

Next level, dysney led screen projection.
I wish 😂🙌🏻
You just earned a sub! Stay safe mate
Thanks man! You too!
Thanks for showing.
This was awesome!!! Helped me a lot!
Thanks for this list of tool
im not college but i already want and trying to have this
Very interesting. Please teach me more. I want to learn. I need a virtual mentor. lol

can you update a list of equipment in the show more section please
I've updated the description with some equipment details. Hope this helps a bit.
Yeah i would watch on how to do this on the Bmpcc 4k if you make the content
Oh wow

you'd get faster results if you programed a 9axis imu instead of using a motion tracker.

Hello Max. Is that camera the URSA Mini 4K? How would you rate it (from 1 to 10) for virtual production?
Yes it is. It worked pretty well actually, but this was my first try at Virtual Production and I honestly don't have a proper comparison camera. What I can tell you, it's helpful to have several SDI Inputs and Outputs.

Hi Mr. Max ..very interesting..can you explain about tracker..which tracker using in virtual production..can you explain specification also..
The Tracker used in the Video are by optitrack. I go through all the necessary hardware in the video as well 👍🏼
Interesting, but is there any REAL practical step by step tutorial you suggest ?
How many Optitrack Flex 13 Cameras do you use to track the camera?
Great video. Quick tip: I would rather hear only your voice and remove that background music. Cheers
Thank You so much! Really appreciate the feedback. Yeah the music shouldn’t distract 😅 Good to know for next time!
in which school did u do this project?
At my college in Germany. It was at Hochschule Furtwangen University.
what is your pc spec ?
and you use laptop or pc be greatful for help looking to do this and also game and also work with VR headset and VR gaming too
thanks
For this I used a PC which was set up for my use at college. I currently don't exactly remember the PC Specs, but can check if I find them somewhere!
@@The_Germarican yeah that be great thanks
I updated the description with some info. Sorry it took so long...
No person goign to college has the money for this xD
Truueeeee!! :D But, I mean that's why I used the colleges equipment :D
@@The_Germarican well that's awesome your college gives u access to these :)
