I own a 6.5 PRC and recognize the Hornandy bullets, probably 143 gr ELDX. I would have never thought about taking it to Africa for plains game but it looked liked it did damn well. A lot of one shot stops, whereas I would have probably brought something bigger inn caliber.
The 6.5 can most certainly do the job, but the room for the smallest of error is problematic. If you’re after the bigger plains game then bring a bigger caliber, but if your hunting the medium to small sized game then the 6.5 will do just fine. 👍👌
I look forward to coming to visit at some point. What region are you in? Ps Great vid as always. Not sure who ads the advert slots but prob 1 or 2 too many imo.
We’d love to have you out on safari with us in the east cape sometime in the future. Unfortunately we do not have a say over the adds. UA-cam rules that space.
Awesome video as usual! My question is, I have noticed that many of the John X clients shoot rifles with muzzle brakes. I have heard many times that the guides and their staff hate muzzle brakes due to the report. Can anyone give some guidance based on their experience? Thank you!
The muzzle breaks are unfortunately part and parcel of rifles today. Luckily the technology on ear protection has improved tremendously which makes it slightly safer on the ears these days 👌👍
Why do you all hide your radio comms? In 2024 IMO that is an essential part of life from shopping, hunting and again in SHTF. I should think an entire hunt with radio transmissions included is in order, but I been wrong B4.
Excellent video. Very good coverage and excellent caliber 6.5prc. Thanks.
