Great video Eddy, very interesting as always. This plan is my preference although i would remove St James entirety and create new park land which imo would help sway public opinion. A new park on the St James site could pay tribute to the grounds history, make a feature of the centre centre, goals, create planted terraces for the stands. Happy Christmas to yourself and Helen.
John Hall was/is a visionary developer and that development in that location seems like it has the potential to create a world class facility which would really put the city on the map internationally. The stadium would also be used by the women’s team as well surely as well as a concert venue etc etc
Great video Eddie, I feel the survey was put out with this exact plan in mind. It's obvious the owners feel we need a new stadium if we are to compete financially with the elite clubs in this country. Revenue generated from hospitality feels like a key priority.
Id love this to happen Eddie. We need to move with the times. Imagine a brand new stadium like Spurs and built only metres away from SJP so still city centre

Cos that's what you'll get, a shinny indistinct carbuncle. I ask this as a genuine question, pal. Be careful what you wish for.
Definitely. Modern facilities, purpose built. Except, rather than build it on Leazes Park/Castle Leazes, build it on the Town Moor to reduce the horrific matchday congestion outside Newcastle's major hospital and Emergency Department.
Fascinating. Those of us who have been to Anfield or OT know that there are thousands of 'tourists' there. Not supporters. There is an optimum size which to my mind is somewhere about 10-12000 bigger than at present. I want to experience 60000+ again. HTL!

Eddie.. big thanks from Saudi Arabia, i got to know Newcastle the city and the club very well and close from watching your valuable videos Please keep doing more videos, and thanks again
As a child, my grandad who worked as a security officer at the ground would get me into the stadium to watch the games for free in the player's relatives box on a few occasions. I met Barry Venison and Ruel Fox's kids. I even met a relative of goalkeeper Mike Hooper and criticised him before he saved Jurgen Klinsmann's penalty at the same match in 1994. I do remember the plans to move but it never formulated.
Great video Eddy as always. Agree about Tripps, he needs and deserves all the support he can get. If nothing else as a repayment for the faith he showed when he signed and what he's done since. As far as the stadium is concerned something has to be done, don't think anybody would deny that, I think whatever happens it needs to be as close to the city centre and St James' as possible to preserve the character of the club.

Hi Jason, thanks for the comment. I think everyone agrees that it’s a crap location for away fans. Even Newcastle fans would agree. It’s just the way the stadium was extended on 2000 and it’s not an easy problem to solve. It’ll probably be a rebuild or new stadium that’ll solve the problem. Other than that, I can’t see any merit in doing a separate video to discuss it, although it is something I’m covering in my upcoming 5 things I love and hate about st James park. All the best 👊🏻

this seems to be the most feasible solution Eddie. Solves the current engineering / logistic problems expanding Sjp and keeps the stadium in the city. reclaiming the current stadium land back into leazes park also a big plus. cant see many negatives with this plan.
Great video Eddie! That is quite a prospect if it got legs it would mean SJP could continue to be used by the Toon until the new stadium is ready. I like the idea that SJP could be used by the ladies team. Merry Christmas to you and Helen and all the best for 2024.
Good video Eddie, lots of good information. Happy Xmas to you, Helen, my fellow subscribers and viewers and look forward to lots of interesting videos in 2024 👍 cheers Eddie🍻
I must have missed this video.. another informative one Eddie.. I'll probably be shot down in flames here but I'm wondering if expanding SJP to +70,000 or making a new stadium is a good thing. I've seen the likes of Spurs, Wembley do it and their atmosphere is atrocious!
Hi Andy, unless we’re winning, our atmosphere is crap as it is. I think if we had a new 70K stadium that trend would likely stay the same but we’d have world class facilities. I’d be up for that 👍🏻
Bloody Dolly😂26 years later, no expense spared, fingers crossed and rabbits foot oot if PIF revisit it, the phrase “too expensive😮” doesn’t come in to it thankfully so how many would a) sign a petition for and b) how many against? How many Dollys? Plus if designs were for 55,000 to extend to 70,000 then, it will probably be a 80,000 seater ready to expand if required! Imagine if PIF gave guarantees to spend serious cash sorting oot Leazes Park so it becomes a Toon oasis🎉🎉 we are allowed to dream BIG😂
70,000 stadium on leazes is a great idea , but raise it to retain the cathedral on the hill status , st James to be turned into a green area , the lasses to b integrated into the new stadium, in my thoughts this would b a first , a truly fantastic full community stadium completely surrounded by an environmental friendly area
Why not make St James Park a landscaped Park to appease the environmentalists in return for the land in Leazes Park? Sure if the Leazes Terrace had a nice park in front of their houses they'd be happy and it would bring green into the city centre.
i remember reading about those plans in the chronicle in the 90's, and was wowed by them. In hindsight, it was possibly a bit of a white elephant moment, as the current owners have SUSTAINABILITY imprinted all over plans both on and off the pitch if the media is to be believed! Not sure what i would want to be honest though, a revamped st.james, or a new 70-80,000 seater stadium? its a question that may divide the fan base for a lengthy period of time, or until the owners present us with plans for future stadium development/relocation. Great work as ever though Eddy, happy crimbo to Helen and yourself!
Hi Peter, always enjoy your videos and have followed St James park from a distance for a long time. Seems to me you could build round on the gallowgate end to get to 56-60k, but still doesn’t get you where you need to be. Anfield situation, whilst difficult, can be sorted out with money and positive discussion/actions from our owners, but surely SJP is landlocked in a different way. That glass wall approach across the non-TV camera side sounds all very nice but surely is a huge compromise. Agree w some of the comments below that even 70k isn’t enough and with today’s average attendances being higher than ever I wouldn’t be surprised if your new owners are targeting a 75-80k mega complex. You’d fill it. I’ll see if I can spot you on NYD!
Thanks for your comment bud. I’d just say that in terms of stadium capacity, our owners will aim for the optimal capacity, rather than the maximum capacity based on if we could fill it on our good days. For the that reason, it’s likely to be less than, or up to 70K to ensure a full stadium and long term sustainability 👍🏻
Possibly, and if that is the case they would follow suit with FSG approach at Liverpool and most other teams. But on the other hand if you look at those crooks over in Manchester they are expanding again to get to 60k yet they can’t sell what they have without concessions. Even then there are regularly empty seats. Their argument being based on a) ambition and b) future demand as they continue to grow.. (personally I look forward to the results of the EPl investigation to see how popular they will be in the lower leagues, but that’s a story for another day and not on your channel 😬) I always have wished for SJP to go round all sides at the same height and I’d still love to see that happen to SJP. Anyway Forest game starting soon, good luck today
I like this idea. a sort of swop as long as the old ground is used as park. The ladies football should be included in the new ground. Infrastructure sure as access and parking would need attention, but I think it looks good.
I’m fully if the view that the women need their own identity and independence. This can be achieved with their own stadium and an average attendance of 8-10K wouldn’t be lost in a 70K stadium
Wish you a merry cristmas eddy! Hopefully they can keep the same brilliant atmosphere as St james park, most of the time this take a while if i look to my dutch club ajax Emjoy your days🎉
Brilliant report Eddie it would be a brilliant idea building a new super stadium where you say .have they thought about sinking the pitch at St James's Park. Barcelona did I'm sure if we sank the pitch. We could get a few more thousand seats. Then we could stay where we are. My thoughts .be nice a new stadium. Maybe then we can get to watch matches. ..merry Christmas Eddie and too your family. Keep the good work Eddie. Brilliant reports. 👏
Excellent, Eddie it's such a terrific option, and brilliant way to build revenue, I'm totally in favour, the Arena site is interesting also, looking forward to your video on that one, apparently some property developers have other ideas for that, money talks and, well you know who owns nufc 😁
Not sure if you know but next summer plan is Castle leazes halls is getting demolished and rebuilt with up to 2000 rooms in the same location. They wanted to move it closer to the road but got refused.. Don't think anything else in that area would pass due to the effect of light to Castle leazes halls
Hi bud, thanks for the update. The light ‘law’ only applies to buildings that have been there for 20 years or more. Plus, I’m not entirely sure if light would be an issue on those buildings? I’d need to look a bit deeper 👍🏻
Good stuff mate very interesting as usual! I am ashamed to admit I have not fully explored the park only the pond next to Richardson Road I will rectify that haha. Oh and just a thought but if they did go to the expense and work to build a new stadium would it not be better to increase it more than 5k? Anyway All the best to you and Helen hope you guys have a great Christmas and New Year.
@@TynesideLife yeah mate I thought the reason for either upgrading st James or building a new stadium was to increase the capacity from 65 to around 70k?
No Business on the Moor! I remember it well, and campaigning for it. No regrets, even though sadly I can never get a ticket to watch the Toon these days. Newcastle has unique green space, and it all needs protecting.
Dont think they will move.they will make it 65k.think trippier needs a few games out to sort out his personal life as its showing big time.he is still a super player and a big part of newcastles journey.hope everyone supports the lad.good vid eddie happy xmas
Great video Eddie. Regarding Trippier I personally think its a serious relationship matter. He seems flat and a bit down, hes putting on a brave face when the camera pans to him. I hope hes ok. NO blame for him hes been amazing since signing.
Brilliant blog once again Eddy if we want to move on and beat ffp we have to build a bigger stadium it's the only move to enhance the Toon merry Xmas mate
@Tyneside Life! Hey Eddie hope you’ve all had a lovely Xmas! Any chance of a video about how much money we have to spend? Our wage bill? And a prediction on when we might start making close to the turn over as some of the other clubs around us! Only some ideas for content from you! I understand you are very busy! Peace ✌️ for 2024!
Hi mate, thanks for the message. I’ll definitely be covering some of this in the coming weeks. In regard to STACK, I’ve covered it 2/3 times in recent weeks and talked about the delays. Have a scroll through my recent videos All the best 👊🏻👍🏻
@@TynesideLife ok, understand now - good luck on the new direction of content, really enjoy the history side of Newcastle, that is how I originally found your channel and the Toon side of things made it more interesting as a 2nd team to follow, the wheels have fallen off lately but I’m sure things will change again, all the best 👍
Loved this I’m for giving the land back to the green belt if allowed to build and dig deeper and take it to 80k+ 90 if possible for me , just think the tree huggers will block it in court , the more it goes on the more I want a new stadium, I’d love to think that generations could go together and have seasons tickets, we could fill 80k now
@@TynesideLife protecting the city I agree with but the moor is grass and a few trees, their isn’t anything listed on the moor they won’t destroy any old buildings so it really is about tree huggers , Newcastle council is supposed to work for the people they aren’t in charge of us , just like the parliament they forgot they work for us , they don’t get to tell us what to do we tell them they are just representing the people , sorry for the rant just had enough of all governments no matter if it’s a Labour or the Tory’s from local to state they think they decide what’s best for us , well I’m sorry that’s not how it works and people have forgotten we tell them or we vote the people in that will , how many hundreds of thousands in Newcastle will vote for people to give us what we want , it’s time we started doing this and taking power back , vote them out then let’s see how it goes , I bet lots of people would love a big paying job , I bet you’ll do well at it ,
@@LGlifeisgood mate, you don’t seem to understand about the land, its history, its uses and who controls it. Because of that I can’t really engage in a meaningful conversation. I discuss the above in video #2 which will give you a lot of insight 👍🏻
And i think its a great idea if it can be done its time for a change no1 would be complaini g about a world class stadium close to city centre which it would bee any toon fan should be haply with that
Free standing at SJP in the 50s /60s attendances were in the high 60ks. I went to all the Fairs cup games which were in the 60ks. Scrap the seats much cheaper and the singing would be back to the good old days.
Hi my dear, it's a shame that the round of 16 didn't work out. Wish us luck. really true?, the stadium should go?, I just think it's unique, if possible I'll send you a picture that I took in Newcastle. it looks similar to the "Fritz Walter Stadium" "Betzenberg" in Kaiserslautern / Germany. own place on top of the mountain Wish U and ur Family a great Christmas time 🌲🙏🏻🍀🤝🏻
The Castle Leazes Land is only used by cattle and in 97 the Freemen and council agreed to the proposal. The current stadium land could be reclaimed. It’s a win win 🤷🏻♂️
Make it 70,000 to 75,000 they will still fill the the new ground as if they expand st James's park it won't be big enough still if a new stadium gets built it will be amazing stadium I've got a brilliant idea for the away fans it would be very impressive
There’s a reason why Spurs and Liverpool didn’t go bigger with their stadiums and it’s the same reason why we won’t over stretch with stadium capacity…
I really can not see this happening. It has been tried before. The Leazes Park and the Moor are protected land. It would take years to get permission to build there - if Newcastle City Council and the Freemen of City agree.
That is just what Newcastle doesn't need .It would be the thin end of the wedge .Build a stadium and see how many other developments take place because a precedent has been set .
@@TynesideLife Any development on that land of any description would be used by other developers as a precedent and very quickly the expansion of the city would extend through Leazes Park and on to the Town Moor . Although I am not a Newcastle Supporter I am not opposed to Newcastle United building a bigger Stadium .I am however opposed to any building on this particular piece of land and I don't think I will be alone in that .
@@TynesideLife a state of the art stadium on the leazes would be amazing. And would be amazing for the city as a whole if they could have the training ground close to the city centre like on the moore but i think that would be pushing it a little
Eddie I still think the hunters moor area would be the best location near the Central motorway so access to it would be good plus you could develop the area with the training and women's team located like man city have.
Won’t happen Derek. It’s why they didn’t plan there last time. Not least because it’s too close to nuns moor north snd central which are bring developed for the wildlife and biodiversity
@@TynesideLife Eddie I lived that part of the west end, Newcastle used to train on that part of the moor before the went to be well also the allotments were flattened as plans were rumoured to built housing on that plot of land. Again the location is perfect for a stadium either that or the riverside we could end up with the club looking for outside Newcastle if the council don't agree could I say even south of the river
@dereksharpe1635 There’s no housing being built on Nuns Moor bud. I’d just say again Derek, and I cover it in video #2, nuns moor is now being developed for wildlife and biodiversity. The land is also right next to an elderly retirement residential village. There’s a reason Hunters Moor is not suitable. The owners can’t move out if the city centre without the approval of the fans. I cover this in video #1. I’m releasing a video about the Arena land in the New Year 👍🏻
I’m going a separate video about the Arena land in the new year 👍🏻 I’d say that why can’t we respect the women’s team and let them have their own identity and stadium?
Would putting up the new stadium at 50,000 work as the ‘temporary’ location while the St James park site is completely rebuilt as at Spurs. The ‘temporary’ stadium then becomes the home of the Ladies team.
The current footprint is just too small to build in excess of 62-65K. That may still happen. It makes sense doing it the way discussed in the video bud 👍🏻
@@TynesideLife so if that is the case the arguments for keeping St James Park are limited. This makes the decision to move to a new stadium with the 'required' 70,000 + stadium the only viable option if maximising the capacity is the number one priority. Hence the importance of your videos outlining the most likely options. Some very careful communication between owners and fans required.
@@michaelmckie9164 yep. I discuss this in video #1 and a video I did after the fan event at St James’ Park recently 👍🏻 In context, they don’t have to do what the fans voted for, they just can’t go against what the fans voted for 👍🏻
Why can't the Women play in the same football stadium as the men , that way both men & women win , saving the owners money , if they're saying that Woman's football is going to be as big as the men's, it would make complete sence to make one large stadium than two, unless they have a plan for the future to utilise the smaller stadium for a venue like the Utlita metro Arena. Ean Bruce
Med beds will do away with hospitals and the land will all be vacant leaves room for expansion then eddie.i think listings will be abolished also big changes around the corner so pleased we were sold to the right company backed by Gold

There’s a reason why Liverpool and Spurs didn’t go bigger and it’s the same reason why we won’t maximise capacity. I’m doing a separate video on why optimisation of capacity is a better business model 👍🏻
@@TynesideLife is 62k. Still the maximum it could be if it was knocked down and rebuilt maybe change the angle of the pitch or something. if that's as big as it could ever be, there's no option than to move. I've followed your channel for the last year great videos and info
There isn’t actually a waiting list Paul but at least now you understand the fundamentals of economics and why stadium capacity optimisation is far more important than capacity maximisation 👍🏻
NUFC women using the existing stadium might sound great to us fellas, but the ladies might have something to say about getting our 'hand-me-down' stadium rather than playing in the new one? 🤔😅
Hypothetically if the womens team make it all the way to the WSL, where there is a major following could they take over st james as their home if the mens did move out?
I’m fully aware bud but I’m not going to use his personal life to make it even worse for him on my channel for clicks and views. It’s called social maturity 👊🏻
Nothing wrong with St James Park, capacity is fine. They need to leave it as it is, it just needs updating. They need to leave the surrounding green belt alone.

Great video Eddie! That is quite a prospect if it got legs it would mean SJP could continue to be used by the Toon until the new stadium is ready. I like the idea that SJP could be used by the ladies team. Merry Christmas to you and Helen and all the best for 2024.
Cheers. All the best Graham 👊🏻🎉
Good video Eddie, lots of good information. Happy Xmas to you, Helen, my fellow subscribers and viewers and look forward to lots of interesting videos in 2024 👍 cheers Eddie🍻
All the best Kev 🎉👍🏻
80+ and we're talking. Listening to the mood music i think a move is the way forward
👍🏻
70,000 stadium on leazes is a great idea , but raise it to retain the cathedral on the hill status , st James to be turned into a green area , the lasses to b integrated into the new stadium, in my thoughts this would b a first , a truly fantastic full community stadium completely surrounded by an environmental friendly area
👍🏻
The beard is looking sharp! Hopefully the Toon come back to the states again soon!
😃👍🏻
Terrific video . A new stadium would propel the club . I remember sir John halls plans . My money is on a new stadium by the A1 at Gosforth.
Cheers Tim 👊🏻👍🏻
That’ll never happen bud. The owners need majority fan consent to move out of the city centre.
Why not make St James Park a landscaped Park to appease the environmentalists in return for the land in Leazes Park? Sure if the Leazes Terrace had a nice park in front of their houses they'd be happy and it would bring green into the city centre.
This is discussed in the video Christopher 👍🏻
i remember reading about those plans in the chronicle in the 90's, and was wowed by them.
You too 👊🏻🎉
Hi Peter, always enjoy your videos and have followed St James park from a distance for a long time.
Sorry Eddie (Peter??? Wtf) 🙄
😂
(personally I look forward to the results of the EPl investigation to see how popular they will be in the lower leagues, but that’s a story for another day and not on your channel 😬)
I always have wished for SJP to go round all sides at the same height and I’d still love to see that happen to SJP.
Anyway Forest game starting soon, good luck today
Very good vid eddy interesting . Hope you and Helen have a wonderful Christmas all best
Thank you Shaun 👊🏻🎉
your videos are pure class mate keep up the good work 👍
Cheers John 👊🏻👍🏻
I like this idea. a sort of swop as long as the old ground is used as park. The ladies football should be included in the new ground. Infrastructure sure as access and parking would need attention, but I think it looks good.
I’m fully if the view that the women need their own identity and independence. This can be achieved with their own stadium and an average attendance of 8-10K wouldn’t be lost in a 70K stadium
Wish you a merry cristmas eddy! Hopefully they can keep the same brilliant atmosphere as St james park, most of the time this take a while if i look to my dutch club ajax
Emjoy your days🎉
You too 👊🏻👍🏻🎉
Lovely measured, informed content Eddy. Thanks.
👊🏻
Brilliant report Eddie it would be a brilliant idea building a new super stadium where you say .have they thought about sinking the pitch at St James's Park. Barcelona did I'm sure if we sank the pitch. We could get a few more thousand seats. Then we could stay where we are. My thoughts .be nice a new stadium. Maybe then we can get to watch matches. ..merry Christmas Eddie and too your family. Keep the good work Eddie. Brilliant reports. 👏
If you sink the pitch, you need a wider footprint Ian (trigonometry). 😃
Excellent, Eddie it's such a terrific option, and brilliant way to build revenue, I'm totally in favour, the Arena site is interesting also, looking forward to your video on that one, apparently some property developers have other ideas for that, money talks and, well you know who owns nufc 😁
Cheers Davey, although the Arena site is a bit more complicated than that 😃
@@TynesideLife I can imagine there being stumbling blocks, it is the toon after all, nowt straight forward.
I never knew that , keep up the good work I enjoy these deep dives @@TynesideLife
If SJP was demolished & returned into parkland there should be no argument
Not as simple as that bud as I explain in the video. But definitely a worthy consideration 👍🏻
More than 5K Martin?
@@TynesideLife hi mate i thought they were increasing from 65k to 70k?
@@Flukey_1970 I’m not sure what you’re referring to Martin? Are you talking about St James’ Park??
@@TynesideLife yeah mate I thought the reason for either upgrading st James or building a new stadium was to increase the capacity from 65 to around 70k?
@@Flukey_1970 our current capacity is 52K. If we stay, it’s likely to expand to around 60-62K
No Business on the Moor! I remember it well, and campaigning for it. No regrets, even though sadly I can never get a ticket to watch the Toon these days. Newcastle has unique green space, and it all needs protecting.
☝️👊🏻👍🏻
Dont think they will move.they will make it 65k.think trippier needs a few games out to sort out his personal life as its showing big time.he is still a super player and a big part of newcastles journey.hope everyone supports the lad.good vid eddie happy xmas
Happy Xmas John 👊🏻
I think the owners will wait to see if the listed buildings can be moved before making any decisions
Mate, I can say with certainty that those buildings won’t be moved 👍🏻
@@TynesideLife Probably not. But hopefully the new stadium can be more like Spurs's new one and not West Ham's ground
Great video Eddie. Regarding Trippier I personally think its a serious relationship matter. He seems flat and a bit down, hes putting on a brave face when the camera pans to him. I hope hes ok. NO blame for him hes been amazing since signing.
Yeah I’ve read the same stories Keith. I just didn’t want to spread his personal life on my channel for clicks snd views
im a fan of that place - bring it on!

Really like this idea. Here’s hoping
Merry Christmas Eddy, have you experienced the Northern Lights at Leazes Park?
No mate I haven’t
Brilliant blog once again Eddy if we want to move on and beat ffp we have to build a bigger stadium it's the only move to enhance the Toon merry Xmas mate

@Tyneside Life! Hey Eddie hope you’ve all had a lovely Xmas! Any chance of a video about how much money we have to spend? Our wage bill? And a prediction on when we might start making close to the turn over as some of the other clubs around us! Only some ideas for content from you! I understand you are very busy! Peace ✌️ for 2024!
Also why no start to the Training ground and Stax??
Hi mate, thanks for the message. I’ll definitely be covering some of this in the coming weeks. In regard to STACK, I’ve covered it 2/3 times in recent weeks and talked about the delays. Have a scroll through my recent videos

@@TynesideLife ok, understand now - good luck on the new direction of content, really enjoy the history side of Newcastle, that is how I originally found your channel and the Toon side of things made it more interesting as a 2nd team to follow, the wheels have fallen off lately but I’m sure things will change again, all the best 👍

our team is light years behind the entertainers squad assembled 28 years ago and keegan at his prime in his 40s
I would emphatically disagree George but it’s all just opinions 👍🏻
Loved this I’m for giving the land back to the green belt if allowed to build and dig deeper and take it to 80k+ 90 if possible for me , just think the tree huggers will block it in court , the more it goes on the more I want a new stadium, I’d love to think that generations could go together and have seasons tickets, we could fill 80k now
It’s about protecting our city’s history, not about tree huggers bud and rightly so
@@TynesideLife protecting the city I agree with but the moor is grass and a few trees, their isn’t anything listed on the moor they won’t destroy any old buildings so it really is about tree huggers , Newcastle council is supposed to work for the people they aren’t in charge of us , just like the parliament they forgot they work for us , they don’t get to tell us what to do we tell them they are just representing the people , sorry for the rant just had enough of all governments no matter if it’s a Labour or the Tory’s from local to state they think they decide what’s best for us , well I’m sorry that’s not how it works and people have forgotten we tell them or we vote the people in that will , how many hundreds of thousands in Newcastle will vote for people to give us what we want , it’s time we started doing this and taking power back , vote them out then let’s see how it goes , I bet lots of people would love a big paying job , I bet you’ll do well at it ,
@@LGlifeisgood mate, you don’t seem to understand about the land, its history, its uses and who controls it. Because of that I can’t really engage in a meaningful conversation.
I discuss the above in video #2 which will give you a lot of insight 👍🏻
In 97 I was asked to sign the petition when I was in Edinburgh for the weekend
Did you sign it and would you do the same again if asked?
And i think its a great idea if it can be done its time for a change no1 would be complaini g about a world class stadium close to city centre which it would bee any toon fan should be haply with that
Free standing at SJP in the 50s /60s attendances were in the high 60ks.
I went to all the Fairs cup games which were in the 60ks.
Scrap the seats much cheaper and the singing would be back to the good old days.
I wish…
Hi my dear, it's a shame that the round of 16 didn't work out. Wish us luck. really true?, the stadium should go?, I just think it's unique, if possible I'll send you a picture that I took in Newcastle. it looks similar to the "Fritz Walter Stadium" "Betzenberg" in Kaiserslautern / Germany. own place on top of the mountain
Wish U and ur Family a great Christmas time 🌲🙏🏻🍀🤝🏻
Thank you and all the best 👊🏻👍🏻🎉
i still stand by my comments from your other video eddy , don't let the people lose the land that belongs to the people
The Castle Leazes Land is only used by cattle and in 97 the Freemen and council agreed to the proposal. The current stadium land could be reclaimed. It’s a win win 🤷🏻♂️
Why can’t Newcastle extend St. James Park? It’s a superb stadium.
How come you didn’t watch this video?
Make it 70,000 to 75,000 they will still fill the the new ground as if they expand st James's park it won't be big enough still if a new stadium gets built it will be amazing stadium I've got a brilliant idea for the away fans it would be very impressive
There’s a reason why Spurs and Liverpool didn’t go bigger with their stadiums and it’s the same reason why we won’t over stretch with stadium capacity…
We need 80k at least
I really can not see this happening. It has been tried before. The Leazes Park and the Moor are protected land. It would take years to get permission to build there - if Newcastle City Council and the Freemen of City agree.
Hi Michael, you haven’t watched the video so aren’t aware of the facts. I’ve also went into a lot more detail in video #2 👍🏻
Merry Christmas Eddie Hope And Helen Son...
...Ho Ho Ho Ho...Merry Christmas And All That Bollocks Son...
That is just what Newcastle doesn't need .It would be the thin end of the wedge .Build a stadium and see how many other developments take place because a precedent has been set .
If the Freemen were okay with it and they are the guardians of the land, who are we to disagree 🤷🏻♂️😅
@davidmontgomery9846 that won’t happen David. For a full understanding of why, check out video #2 👍🏻
This is my only exception to a new location for our stadium
What would be your choice?
I’m releasing a video about the Arena land in the New Year 👍🏻
The Utilitas site, next to the river would be the place to build a new stadium. Also, why couldn't the women's team also play at the new stadium?
I’m going a separate video about the Arena land in the new year 👍🏻
I’d say that why can’t we respect the women’s team and let them have their own identity and stadium?
@@craigmalcolm5434 that was done through the fan survey (discussed in video #1). The owners can only go with what the majority of fans voted for 👍🏻
@@michaelmckie9164 yep. I discuss this in video #1 and a video I did after the fan event at St James’ Park recently 👍🏻
In context, they don’t have to do what the fans voted for, they just can’t go against what the fans voted for 👍🏻
I think trips just needs a good long rest for a few weeks.
we need a 90000 capacity stadium at least
There are some strong reasons why our owners will look to optimise capacity, rather than maximise capacity 👍🏻
Trippier all 3 at Everton🤷♂️
Why can't the Women play in the same football stadium as the men , that way both men & women win , saving the owners money , if they're saying that Woman's football is going to be as big as the men's, it would make complete sence to make one large stadium than two, unless they have a plan for the future to utilise the smaller stadium for a venue like the
Utlita metro Arena.

Newcastle need a 100k capacity stadium, people say it won’t be filled…. Dream on, there would still be people struggling to get ticket
There’s a reason why Liverpool and Spurs didn’t go bigger and it’s the same reason why we won’t maximise capacity.
I’m doing a separate video on why optimisation of capacity is a better business model 👍🏻
St James’s could be training for the men and the woman’s use it to play games at also means a better training ground for us
A training site needs at least 60 acres bud. I’ve covered this in detail in a couple of videos 👍🏻
Ideal place to build a stadium for the women's team which we could use while st james park gets knocked down and rebuilt
Whichever way you look at it, the maximum capacity the current St James’ Park could be us around 62K. This may still be the likely outcome
@@TynesideLife is 62k. Still the maximum it could be if it was knocked down and rebuilt maybe change the angle of the pitch or something. if that's as big as it could ever be, there's no option than to move. I've followed your channel for the last year great videos and info

I don’t think so but I’m certain we won’t be building a stadium in excess of 70K anyway for several reasons 👍🏻
With 70,000 you will still have a waiting list ,needs to be 80/90,000 at least
There isn’t actually a waiting list Paul but at least now you understand the fundamentals of economics and why stadium capacity optimisation is far more important than capacity maximisation 👍🏻
