Good morning, excellant video. If you are in USA, I am at the opposite side of the globe. My opinon is that, for as such undertaking, why not do spray test for these fuel njectors. Also check out PCV hoses and its flow check values. From your experince how often you see losses of lubricating oil in the supercharge for Mercedes Just bought a year 2006 mercedes with M721 engine for USD6,000. Comes 1.8litre with supercharge. Had a mechanic check on it before purchase. He says worth yg to but even if it is USD7500. Yes, buying old mercedes here is not as cheap as in USA due high taxes when they are new. Pls continue to do video and add some advisories on opportunity work. BTW, it seems that the vaccum hose looks like it is going into intake manifold at just after the throttle body. When doing 120km/hr and higher on the highway the SC would put in boost for air intake close to +7.5psig. Would be these air intake pressure be creating too high a crankase operting pressure. I had transfered, from my honda, a plug & play & dashboard display type OBD2. At 750rpm/2/60 second = 11.25 litres of volume displacement. MAF is 5.4g/second divided by 1.2 = 4.5litres of air flow/second. Intake manifold at -7.5psig. Air to displacement ratio is therefore 0.4 : 1. By this ratio the air pressure inside cylinder during DBC would be close to -10psig. This theoritical pressure would exclude the pressure generated by the 5% to 6% vapourised gasoline by port injector & some pressure drop across port suction valves. When getting any older car outside of warranty take the effort to do reach and take advantages of what you can learn from internet. Also tools like obd2 is the must have tools to have. Nowdays they are really inexpensive. Regards. Happy motoring.
Hello, I don’t much about cars but I got an obd scanner because my check engine light was on and it says a code P2004 and it’s about the intake manifold stuck open? Should I replace it brand new?
I have 2006 Mercedes Benz C230 sport .check engine light came on and OBDII codes are P0170,PO173 . The car does not hesitate , the RPM is between 500-800 and no smoke coming out of the muffler pipe ,gas millage is good (ave.22 mpg). do you think I should replace the the intake manifold on it ? thanks
what type of tool is the one removing ford like radiator hose clamps im seeing a nice tool being used there looks like the same type clamps on alot or radiator hoses
Why was the manifold replaced? An air leak caused by o-ring failure, manifold warped or cracked? Was replacement part new, salvage yard part, or same manifold removed? Is this a common problem with this engine? Thanks for posting
At 4:37 did you guys cut that plastic hole out of the way? I couldn't fit any torx in there as the hole is too small. I think I'm just going to cut it off, I didn't see it there on your video.
I have the cheapest, crappiest torx bit kit available and it fits there perfectly, I've got it for 'like 8 eur. I wouldn't cut into the airbox itself. Don't be an Ork, buy a new torx set, you will need it for your car anyway.
Yes sir, can you help me out, where can I find this prob, troble code p0045,supercharger boost control solenoid A/ open, I had 2009model c200 kompresor, tnx
Do you know what was causing your car to shake when ac is on? Mine does the same, if I put in on neutral it stops then starts shaking when I put back on drive and AC on.
I’m in the process of tearing down and replacing my alternator and putting in a new supercharger. I thought the rattling noise was the SC nose but I think it’s the compressor motor for the ac. It’s pretty common I guess. I think you can just replace the bearing, I’m about to find out lol
@@mohamedelcapino2718 my vaule or hose by the engine above the belt has cracked on my 2005 c230 kompressor n my check engine light is on where can I get it checked that's not a dealer ship any recommendations
There could be a million reasons but the cheapest and easiest is this: Check the camshaft position sensors connectors first (just to be sure). If there is oil in them get new sensors, clean the connectors, check the o2 sensors also - I had oil in them too. It's a pretty common problem btw with the m271
Holy freaking crap. Am I seriously gonna have to take all that crap out of the way in order to get enough room to remove the crank sensor? Screw all that. Junk yard, you've just earned a C230. Almost runs and only minor rust.
Can you tell me if it is possible to remove and change the oil filter housing on this car without removing the intake manifold?

+Eli Gomez Hi Eli, We use a nut driver on the band clamps and hose clamp pliers on the crimp style clamps, they work great when space is limited.
Why was the manifold replaced? An air leak caused by o-ring failure, manifold warped or cracked? Was replacement part new, salvage yard part, or same manifold removed? Is this a common problem with this engine? Thanks for posting
+ICU2 Hi ICU2, It was an air leak caused by a crack in the manifold. It is not a common failure and was replaced with a salvaged intake.
How did you that manifold was cracked?

Hi! Thank u for share this video. Do You know what's de number of the 06:07 hose ?
Greetings from Chile !
this is only for the 1.8 liter c230k engines. So not the 2000 - 2002 models which use the 2.3 liter m111 engine.

damn I hope this never happens to my car just watched the whole video that was something else great job though! what were the symptoms of the issue?
Glad you asked. I've this issue today. Roughly idling, choking/jerking. High gas mileage and overall bad acceleration.

Hi my intake manifold control valve is broken. Do you know anywhere to get the part?
I'd check rockauto or summit racing, thanks for watching!
Hi I replaced the whole manifold with new and got a p2015 code afterwards any idea?
So is necessary to remove the super charger pole? 🤔
How did you get the intake box hose to align in the back??
Not bad, some unnecessary steps. Like intercooler pipe removal, belt removal? Use your words more. 7 out of 10.😊
I heard that replacing the manifold (part in front of the belt) will increase supercharger noise or wine ? Any thoughts?
i have c240 model 2002 /the Engine shiver in N and P and i have oil evaporation /1000miles*1 litre oil can u help me to find the problem plZ
Thanks for the information 🎉🎉
Thanks for watching!
Does anyone know of ther is a biger manifold for this engine ?

Don’t carburetor cleaner damage the seals/O-Ring gaskets ?
Not really. Thanks for watching!

Yep. That's what makes working on Mercedes so tough. Thanks for watching!
My bad.. I see the super charger under the intake
No problem! Thanks for watching Sam!
Wait...what supercharger???
This model has a supercharger. Thanks for watching!
i can not believe mercedes could design such rubbish arrangement of component. but no not really i have seen worst from Mercedes.
They can be real stinkers to work on. Thanks for watching!
Is this the 2.5 L?
1.8
Will this work for the c230 Non-Kompressor?
Yes, it will just look different. Thanks for watching!
