These look so cool! I love the one with the diamond plate top. I'd like to make one of these for my husband. I've never built anything in my life! haha..so I've already run into some problems. It looks like the lids of your containers are resting on the drawer ledges. This works great for lids that have an overhang/lip to do that, but my husband's containers do not. Other people may have this problem or have a lid that is made cheaply and they may not trust the weight being on the lid. So I'm making it so the bottom of the container rests on the drawer ledges. My way kinda sucks because it leaves a larger space between each container. What are the dimensions of the wood you are using for the drawer ledges? I need my ledges to protrude about 1 1/2" to 2" to hold the bottom of my container, but I'm trying to cut down on the space between containers. So maybe..2" protrusion (width)..1" height..Hmm
Could work...I used 1x2s. the other thing that may work is get some really thin sheets of wood and make slots/cubbys for each tray. that way you could get by using 1x1s or smaller and run the rail across the back as well to support the sheet from three sides.
Nice work! Thanks for sharing.
Hurry up man, that beer's gettin' warm! (4:44)
Thanks.
Well done!
Best one I ever seen
