The house music stops, and right before Chan started, a man towards the back screams "The Yankees just won the World Series!" (They had just won seconds earlier.) This elicits unwanted noise from the crowd, and Chan starts anyway. Just as the crowd noise dissipates, another man on the floor collapsed and hit his head so hard, the thud was heard across the room. Undeterred, Chan keeps singing... 2. October 1998, Club Congress, Tucson, AZ with Smoke and Fuck. (I had moved to Tucson from NYC in July of 97.) Just a handful of people were at the show. Mainly Moon Pix songs. Super intimate, which was cool. Plus, Rolling Rock drafts were 50 cents. After the show, however, I saw Benjamin (Smoke) a few blocks away from the venue. I stopped to say hello. He asked if he could have my shoes. I declined as I had to walk home, but I offered him a 10 dollar bill to buy shoes. Before I finished talking, he pulled out a crack pipe from his bag and took a hit right there on the sidewalk, and walked away. Sadly, he died less then a year later.

For all we know, she and Lana could have run into each other at a festival or concert and the subject came up amicably.
Lana & Chan have played a European tour together in the past and Lana took inspiration from Chan, she thanks her in linner notes of an album. It’s not about numbers it’s about collaborating with Artists who believe in each other, I would imagine its a rare thing. Sadly, I kind of agree. This isn't bad by any means, but her early albums like dear sir, what would the community think and moon pix are twisted, cerebral, tortured 90's rock masterpieces. The songwriting and performing here is perfectly serviceable, but it lacks the jagged edge of her earlier work. Anyway... Check out those early albums!
