Ben ik nog geweest. Was ik 16. Ik vond er toen niet echt wat aan. Maar nu denk ik Niet Normaal Meer Zo GOED!!! Ga nooit meer zo'n band komen. Die zo goed is als Frank Zappa!!!
This is so hilarious, interview apparently taken before the 84 Rotterdam concert, 1st time for me to see Zappa in a live show, a live changing event. He is very authoritarian to the poor and nervous french interviewer, who visits Zappa a day before the Paris show. It get really funny halfway trough the interview, when Zappa loosens up and explains the lyrics of the song ’In France’. The French actually got 15 minutes more in their Paris show ….Obviously he performed ‘In France’ the there.
There's very few people in life who you meet that are as in control as Frank. He's almost always on his game, and I think I've only seen him thrown off it a couple times .
@@morbidmanmusic Prostate cancer killed him. And guess what one of the worst triggers for prostate cancer is? Smokers have a 40% increase over non smokers in their odds of prostate cancer.
I don't know. Another commenter said they were there and it sounded terrible. Could it have been the electronic drum sounds? Or just the acoustics? Hard to imagine a city as big as Rotterdam has a venue with terrible sound, though.

Thanks, Tom. Always some Zappa material out there, even interviews, which I've not seen or heard.
I made the Ahoy gig on FZ's 1988 tour, and Frank complained about the acoustics once again!
18:35 he loved that whole tone scale lick on the 84 Tour.
I like it too. It always grabs my ears.
12:12 “They got a Mystery Blow Job, that’ll turn your Peter Green!”!! One of my all-time favourite Zappa lyrics!

Rapide efficace le zappa band tourne comme une belle mecanique!
Jammie ..... and I was there, still got the ticket, don't remember much of the bad acoustics
I was there..... ;-)
If I had access to a time machine and only had 3 goes on it, one of them would be to head back to 1955 and tell Frank not to start smoking!!!
that isn't what killed him.

“Optional Entertainment”!
How is it that the 1980 concert sound was much better?

@@weebgrinder-AIArtistPro zappas band only started using electronic drums in 84, with some triggers in ed manns kit since 1981 i think
Two deaf, and blind, people thumbed down this video.
No, it wasn't! It was two Zappa fans up voting the video when their phone was upside down.
I was there the sound was horrible
I wonder why. that's lousy.

Can anyone tell me what the interviewer says at 15:28? He says something like "What do you think of the -----" and the last bit is a mystery to me!
I listened to it twice and it sounds to my ears like he says "promo clips (videos)"
Promo clips, music videos etc
