Nice of you to save them but you should have waited to trap the mother as well, she is full with milk and will be worried sick, and did you check there were no more kittens. They normally have more than three. Always best to think before removing them from location, but well done of you to still care for them, but do always check and wait for mother cat. x
So I didn’t say it on the video, but we accidentally stepped on one. We had no idea they were in the grass and we were just working along and all of a sudden we heard a squeal… we didn’t know which one of the three we stepped on so we just brought all 3 to try to give them the best chance
They did the best they could considering they stepped on one and were concerned for their health. They did more than most would. They'll get good homes now.

The babies were groomed and healthy which proves that the mother is tending to them. She'll be back soon.
What u didn’t say on camera is that we didn’t know they were there and we accidentally stepped on one. When we uncovered we didn’t know which one was stepped on so we brought them all to the vet… otherwise we would have left them for their mother to take care of… so sad!
Left outside, even with their mother, it would be lucky one lived long term.
They're young enough to be socialized for human bonding, and get good homes.
They probably saved those kittens' lives. From their size I think they were past 5 weeks, and probably six and weaned already.
With a housecat them staying with mom is optimal till 8 weeks. She is definitely a stray, and may be a feral (100% outside, no real human contact.) and a few more weeks the kittens might be too feral to adopt out.

Keep your eyes out Mommy kitty may be trying to find them. Keep eye on door and windows. Hope you can take them all in. If mom returns they all need to be together. Quiet safe warm place. Lots of milk for mom. Don't give up on her.

A year ago, we found three kittens under my son's wood porch. After tearing up the porch to get them out. We
realized they were only 3 1/2 weeks old. Left them on the porch in a box, so mom could take them, but she never showed up.
I told my husband, we that could go to Vegas if I got to raise them to 8 weeks. Well, he got his trip, but we kept all 3 kittens.
It is crazy around here, but also a lot of fun...

I don’t know but I’ve mentioned in other comments that we accidentally stepped on one because we didn’t know they were there. But we didn’t know which one we stepped on so we brought all 3 to the vet.

They were hidden in the tall grass and we didn’t know they were there. We discovered them when we stepped on one. We didn’t know which one but we brought them in case we hurt any

Dumping the kittens at a shelter? Even many “ no kill” may put them down as it is considered inhumane to leave babies that young as they require round the clock care . If a foster isn’t available ? Or a /the mother cat ? 😿
The cats were adopted the next day! Woot woot! We called and were checking on them and got that great update
Agreed, I had a "shelter" try to take kittens literally out of my arms because "they won't survive without the mother cat" and "you'll never raise them on your own". Started my own shelter, but I am a fail because I love them too much and I keep them... but my original 5 "kittens" are turning 14 next month. But according to the "shelter" "they'll never make it".

Well... if you took them to the "shelter", you "got rid of them" for sure. They usually don't keep animals, especially cats, that aren't neutered. The over population of cats in shelters are a huge problem, so once you left them, they probably went to the euthenasia room immediately. They'd have been better off at the abandoned house.
So I actually know the people who work at this shelter. Two of them are friends of mine. They got adopted the next day.
@@DumpNinja, that’s good to know because Karmen is right. Many shelters won’t keep kittens that young because they’re too labor intensive and they don’t have the resources. Unless they know fosters that will come get those babies on a dime, they put them down.
So uninformed. If you don’t know for a fact, keep your negative comments to yourself.
Depends on the shelter! Most kittens are easily adopted.
@@capricepercle9133 I'm very informed. I was TOLD kittens are put down because they do not have the resources to bottle feed them "because they usually die anyway without the momma cat. You'll never keep them alive" Which I responded, "WATCH ME!" and I did keep them all alive. I also used my voice to turn it into a no-kill shelter. I just kept telling the story of our momma cat and her kittens that was dropped at our church and someone called the pound to remove them. They got momma and when I went to get her they told me they killed her as soon as she got to the "shelter" They used the term "put down", but they killed her. They tried to take her kittens from me. That was 14 years ago this month and since then I have become an advocate for our strays and become a rescuer. I. AM. VERY. INFORMED. Maybe you should inform yourself because not all "shelters" are no-kill. Do NOT be that ignorant that you think they save them all because they DON'T!

I’ve seen this before. LEAVE THOSE BABIES ALONE! The mother is looking for food she will come back and find her babies gone. LEAVE THOSE KITTENS ALONE!!!!
I normally would have left them alone, but they were in tall grass and we had no idea they were there until we accidentally stepped on one. When we heard the cry we unburied them and didn’t know which one we stepped on or if we injured it. So we brought all 3 to the vet and told them everything. We would have left them if we hadn’t of possibly injured one…

WTF? What a narcissist. Cats are so loving and amazing to have and so easy to care for dude. Why take them to the shelter? The mother would have returned. Why not allow your kids to experience the love that is more precious than any human can give them. A cats love is special. Their Pur is healing too studies have shown. But I see you’re too selfish to think of your kids happiness above your own. Great that you am saved them but I’m sure it was only because your friend was there and you would have to pretend.
