Hello :) Yes I have the original but the quality is not much better, anyway I have uploaded it (and everything else I had on the channel). It's in "TV Shows" mega.nz/folder/stRVTCjB#lEOqT73tPwnb9wdIa3AMRA
@@CapriMK4 Duuuude! You're a god damn hero!!!!!!!!!! I'll let you into a little secret. The guy in the advert about 5 minutes in is my uncle. He sadly passed away quite young in the 80s. Your kindness to a stranger in looking this out means a hell of a lot... 👊
@@JoeMischiefGXC Glad I could help you with the memory of your uncle :) Not sure if you were referring to the tv advert 5:10 (or the photo advert 5:01) in any case I have uploaded a different version of the same tv advert. @@CapriMK4 OMG! You are my new best friend... Yes is the tv ad so that's amazing! Never thought in my wildest dreams I could get hold of the complete advert! Just so you get an idea how much this means to me, my mum passed away just under 2 months ago in July so I'm pretty much the only surviving member of the direct family now. The tv ad came up at her wake and I promised the extended family there I'd try and find what I could. Your kindness in doing this means the world. Thank you so much. 👏 🙏 💪 Just as a bit of background his name was Terry. He was a male model, actor and stuntman. SUPERB car!! The Capri achieved everything it set out to and then some. If only I could've owned mine for longer. I took ownership of my grey Mk III at 100+ thousand miles; it was an excellent car that drove faultlessly EVERY day for eleven years. We tidied the paint, gained a few horsepower & uprated the suspension. The grin factor on this car is HUGE and only matched by an American muscle car of the same 60s-70s era, which I'm pleased to say I now own, despite having to part with the Capri (which a young spanner-head bought & converted into a racer - so, happy ending). Thank you for an excellent documentary & I'm delighted to see the Capri deservedly achieve classic, sought-after status.
he wants something like it was when he was 12 years old, and he is wondering about his girlfriend leaving him. she went to something bigger than his hood, she wanted more than his tiny two liters, or inches
For sure, Perana in SA. Small block V8 fits fine, two blokes that I knew of did the swap in my city. Alternatively Ford could have fitted Cosworth BDA-BDG for a hot and light RS special.
Original Mercury Capri was the same as Euro Capri (derived of a Cortina platform), then the 1979-86 was based on the Fox body. Ironically, this car had a patent for the fuel tank the Pinto was meant to have.
My Dad owed a 1971 Mercury Capri. Believe me it was no Pinto! It was a great little car that I learned to drive a manual transmission on. Love to have one today.
@CapriMK4 Hello. Do you by any piece of luck have the orginal digital copy of this before UA-cam put their compression on the video?

Best European Ford ever
52 now, got as far as a 2.0 Laser in Diamond white, She was mint, She was my forth and final, Good Days
Most think based on the Cortina.....was actually the Corsair floorpan.
Did manage a 2.0S in Red through those four, third I think, Good Days

You could make a Capri worthwhile - stuff a V8 in it! That's what was done in South Africa.

Too derivative. Compare the 3 litre to the Datsun 240Z, which was cheaper and .......
Capri all day every day
in the "states", it was the Mercury Capri, aka a Pinto in drag. silly British!
You do know that the Capri and Pinto are completely different cars...
mr bad example mr bad example Capri nice car... Pinto ugly piece of shit. Silly American
And the Capri was way more safe than a Pinto, since the capri wont explode if you shut the rear hatch to hard X)
