I'm one that would have enjoyed sitting at the tables that the ladies of those time set up to feed the thrashing crews…home grown and prepared with love and experience…a thank you to all farm wives and their hard work back at country home
Near me there is a "town" that holds a threshing event every year. The only reason I even know about it is because its a weird name I saw looking at another nearby town on google maps.
Thats hilarious. The farm boys always had girls before anyone else in my city school. They already understood what it took when you're not a privileged brat!
I found that it didn't help with the ladies I wouldn't want to be with anyway. It took time but I ended up with a good one and all those spoiled brats that rejected me, I'm better off without anyway.
Three reasons: 1. Less fire risk 2. Longer belt=heavier belt, which makes for better traction so the belt won’t slip 3. So there is room to pull a wagon full of grain bundles up alongside it.
Seeing those young men have such enthusiasm for antique farm equipment is awesome.
It would be nice to see threshing machines of all eras running at the same time. The evolution of threshing.
One of the rare videos I never skipped forward while watching.

Looks like they're having fun.
WOW! What an awesome, impressive event! Hope to God I get to see this someday. You are visionary my friend.
That was fun. Thank you for sharing it.
so proud to be Canadian!
SpenserRoger Me too Proud to be a Canadian Farmer!
All fine and wonderful. but did you here the 4-1 ratio. they are abusing the taxpayers in disguise.
Why are the belts so long is it a must?
interesting side note:
it was ALSO the world record for the MOST one armed men in one county at one time. ( thresher operators )
Thresher? What are you, crazy? You know I'm gonna send it.
great threshing show ! thanks
Awesome!!!!
My papa and grandma live south of langenburg!!

Threshing machines as a hobby? Well as long as you have a hobby.

I wish I was there
Why am I here?
To learn... knowledge is power
Might as well set a world record.
2:46 look at all that dust!
We broke that record in Austin Manitoba
Very popular here in Ireland many threshing shows this time of the year with vintage machinery, country folk reliving there youth, nice to see.
Also good to remember and celebrate the young history of life on the prairies, the old timers were tough as hell.
UA-cam, why do you recommend videos like this?
Nice mostly metal threshers
hate to tell those boys that hobby threshing might not help much with the ladies when they grow up, but that's shame on the girls not them

What world record is next "most john deer tractors in Indiana running on the same fuel using the same grain harvested from a field in Montana"?
How did I get here?
who tf cares about you?
I'M SO LOST, HELP ME
dThineni no we are not
I don't know why I am here bye!
Why comment?? who tf cares about you in the first place?
follow the bread crumb trail you'll be home in no time
Why do they make the drive belts so long?
Probably to reduce the risk of fire by putting any ignition sources at a safe distance
That makes sense.
And because they have to put a twist in the belt so the machine runs in the proper direction

1. Less fire risk
2. Longer belt=heavier belt, which makes for better traction so the belt won’t slip
3. So there is room to pull a wagon full of grain bundles up alongside it.
I can't even explain why i'm here......
