- Since reviewing the Duke boots and left me a bit disappointed i purchased the Cavalier and im quite impressed. This is the boot to get if you want to make a great impression.
Thanks so much for the review! Awesome unboxing video. The notch on the heel is actually intentional to the design. It's known as the "gentleman's notch" and may go by a few other names. It's a common design element that helps prevent your heel from getting caught on or snagging on to your pants :) Hope this helps clarify. Enjoy your Cavaliers!
Never seen it on other Cavaliers tho
@@decoraven825 simply type in “A bad resole job on these Crockett & Jones Boots” and watch how Trenton and Heath resoled that pair of shoes, towards the end of the video you will see the notch on the heel too
Whats with the music? I was half expecting batman to come out and knock him out.
Lmaooo I’m late but this cracked up 😂
😂😂😂😂
Than "little nick" on the inside of each heel is a design feature that is there so your pant legs don't catch or get hooked on the heels.
How could someone’s pants reach down that far?
@@WD.909 They meant if you're sitting down and the other leg's pant leg gets caught on the hook of your boot. Especially when crossing your legs.
The cut on the heel is a traditional thing for men who wear cuff trousers so they wouldn't get caught when walking
It’s called a gentleman’s notch...
Bought the dark grey model they are amazing!
Yeah the Duke as well as the President and Captain has a surprisingly taller heel stack height compared to Red Wing, Blundstone, Allen Edmonds. My 1st pair of Captains on their 1st last were too big (going by site recommendations). It felt as if I were fighting gravity trying not to slide down a slope. I C oils feel the stress in my shins immediately. Once I got my sizing right it was all good. I just had to get use to the aesthetic of a taller boot heel stack.
...you dont know much about boot contruction, do you? goodyear welts characteristic is that it comes out of the box rigid and needs a little time to break in (that is the whole selling point of a blake stitch, that they come out of the box with more flexibility). and that chip is extremely common.
You could have said that in a less condescending manner. Why the need to be so insulting?
How are they holding up? And do you use Saphir shoe cream polish or anything?
Awesome video! Just wanted to know are they slim enough to rock with slim or skinny jeans? Or maybe with a suit?
Almost fell asleep with the music lmao
I liked the thorough review (but it's hard to hear you over the background music mostly after the 7 min mark).
Such a mellow unboxing. Cool mate
So did you keep them? I am only 5'5" and could not wear the Dukes... my feet are on the narrow to normal side and they were just too wide. I have two pair of the Cavalier in suede and very happy with them. Just purchased a pair of leather Cadets and having an issue with them so i might exchange them for a leather Cavalier. Did you experience any issue withe discomfort in the front of the ankle?
The sleek looking boot is beautiful!
The notch on inside of heel is so you don't snag your pants. It is obvious you know nothing about reviewing footwear.
I just got the legend this boot is just beautiful, did you have to size down half a size or a full size.
Did they fit you true to size ? I ordered a pair a half a size smaller than my normal size like they suggest. Did you do the same?
How did they end up fitting?
Freaking painful
Nice video. How have they held up? Have you used them on a rainy day?
I just bought a pair of cavilers and got a half size down from my normal size and they aren’t tight but aren’t big. Should I return them for a whole size down from my normal sneaker or should I keep the ones I have now that are only a half size smaller?
only you can answer bruv. what did you decide?
Can you give an update? How much creasing do these boots have? Would you still recommend these?
how thick is the shoe heel ? (like in cm or inches) thanks
Owen Ma 2.5 cm
Well you obviously have no experience with higher end shoes lol who in gods name use leather as soles ???? Haha
You are clueless. Leather soles are common in upper end shoes.
How are they holding up after 8 months?
I have ultraboosts in 10.5 and Timberland 6inch in 10. What do you reccomend for the sizing
10
I'm looking to buy a pair. Do they fit true to size? Or is there room to go.down a half size?
Dante Silvini go down half
You sound like my author Robert Greene 😅
LOL this video is hilarious.
You didn't even see the stitching on the sole of your shoes completely wrong it's uneven bro they look like they are with defects and flaws
Not even a bag just a plastic bag 🤮🤮🤮
How did you miss the big black bag folded over the boots at the beginning?
literally one of the first things he shows is the cloth storage bag. where is your brain dawg? be smarter. be more intelligent.
thx.
The bag is right in the beginning. You dumb?
