I'm berthed on the same dock on the same Marina as Minnow and saw her for the first time today. She looks absolutely stunning and Bristol fashion. It's lovely to see such a classic so well cared for. Unfortunately, Dawn Wells wasn't there but it's clear from this video, she has aged as well as the Minnow and is still a stunning looking woman.
Ah I just watched the interview of Bob Denver, Gilligan and Dawn Wells, Mary Ann and I now understand the term in this video "and the rest". Mary Ann and the professor were not in the original Pilot so the Theme song didn't include Her and the Professor they were going to be Billed as "and the rest" but Bob had them added because he was the Top Billing and he wanted them Billed. What a guy and what a woman. I think I got that correct.
Her laughter is what l will miss about Miss Wells and her kindness and her beautiful smile too R I P Miss Wells and Thank You for Mary Ann loving you forever

I met this very sweet lady at the world of wheels car show in Birmingham Al back in 2015 I think it was not positive. She was there for a meet and greet and for 2 days the line to see her was never less than 75-100 ppl. She took all the time necessary with ppl what a true professional and sweet lady.
Dawn Wells ushered me into puberty...at a WAY TOO EARLY age...and 1 of my greatest regrets is I never had the opportunity to thank her. 🙂 RIP Dawn...I ADORE "YOU"...STILL!!!! Ben

The first season was a boat used from the marina in Hawaii. The second season was re shot "In Color" using this boat from the marina in California. All other boats with holes in them were just props placed on beaches for dramatic effect. Beautiful Lady and a beautiful Boat too!
Listening to her voice, it got a little deeper and huskier than in 1967 (49 years ago from the video date), but you can still hear her "old" G.I. voice in it. Her last 2 words at the end were appropriately enough, "Rescue me."

This was shot in Naniamo BC Canada at "Stones Marina". On Vancouver ISLAND. Access to the docks / piers is restricted to members only (lock & key). I visited the location today. Couldn't get close enough to see if the SS Minnow was there.
She went for a three-hour tour to that island in the sky. At least she had one last chance to take a final cruise on the Minnow before her passing. RIP, Dawn Wells, the REAL Mary Ann!
As a boy in the 70s, I of course had a big crush on Mary-Anne. I'm a little surprised to hear her remark about there not being room aboard for 7 people would sleep though, since everyone knows it was a 3 hour tour..... a 3 hour tour lol.

I met her when I was working security at The Essex House in NYC in the 90's. She was charming and very down to earth.

There were a few minnows. One was a prop. This one was never wrecked. It sailed at the beginning of the song.
