Oxygen Sensor P0155 Fix HD
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 лип 2024
- The front heated oxygen sensor detects the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gas compared to the outside air. The oxygen sensor is made of ceramic zirconia. The front oxygen sensor signal is sent to the ECM. The ECM adjusts the injection pulse duration to achieve the ideal air-fuel ratio. This was performed on a 1997 Nissan Maxima. Please check with your vehicle's repair manual for testing parameters.

P0155 - Front heated oxygen sensor left bank. The current amperage in the front heated oxygen sensor left bank is out of the normal range. The improper voltage drop signal is entered to ECM through the front heated oxygen sensor heater.

Thanks for the video. It's worth noting that if there's a high resistance in the harness between pin 2 of the plug and battery voltage, the voltage test will give a false "good." This happens because the multimeter's high internal resistance will allow it to read +12V, but when the plug is reassembled, the low resistance of the sensor will pull the voltage down to near-zero. The same can happen if the pins in the plug itself are dirty or corroded. The only way to be sure this isn't happening is to leave the plug assembled and test for voltage on the pin 2 wire between the connector and the sensor, rather than between the connector and the battery source. It will be necessary to pierce the wire insulation with the probe in order to make contact.
Appreciate the video dude. Nice work.
Just wanted to send a thank you for the videos...they have been very helpful. I'm looking forward to the video on the P1445 also
Glad to help. I'll upload a video for p1445 shortly. I have a few projects I need to wrap up first.
Thanks for your videos they are very helpful
Damm best video I seen in a long time, muchas gracias
thanks for this video!!! It's like a needle in a haystack- I've been having a hard time finding info about repairing the I30.
Glad to help.
Thank you
nice video dude, thanks!
+Alberto González-Burgos Thanks! Cheers
great video,i have subscribed,i have a '97 maxima gle that just barely passed emmisions 2 days ago ,the mechanic said i have a pending code as you describe upstream o2 sensor and i am gonna replace both from rock auto the next warm day we have here in tn,are both sensors the same 3 wire and what about wire length are they the same ? thanks.
This video was very helpful thank you 💪
so where is the second o2 sensor plug, my haynes manual shows 2 upstream o2 sensors ?
p.s. i have already replaced the downstream o2 sensor recently, upstream sensors have 156,000 on them lol ,car still runs like it was new
Hello! Can you help me with the manufacturer P/N or OEM P/N of the sensor (Bank 2, Sensor 1)? it's for a Nissan Maxima 2000.Thank you in advance.
Great video! How many o2 sensors do 4th gen maximas have? I just bought a 97 gle and my mechanic says there's 4 but every resource I've come across says 3?
Three. Two up front and one on the after the cat.
CarsNToys thanks brother! Your the best!
Matthew Wach if you have a California emmision vehicle then you will have 4
Hi, your videos are really awesome they helped me a lot repairing my Infiniti I30t 1996, however, I received code P0150 and it happened to be the same P0155 so I checked this video and did all the test and everything worked good so what do you think the problem might be?!
Thanks again.
+majed abdullah Thanks, Majed. Have you replaced the Oxygen sensor? If so, P0150 could also be due to bad injector(s), intake leaks and/or fuel pressure.
+CarsNToys Thanks and no I haven't replace the sensor yet cuz I wanted to wait until either the check engine come on or the code goes away I will try and change it and check the other things you told me about however I'v received another pending code which is P0400 the EGR, but I have cleaned the EGR tube a couple days ago and been driving it to complete the driving cycles but I the code came back today but it is pending so my question is, do you think those two codes P0150, P0400 may relay on each other on a way that makes one components bad can cause the other code comes another thing do you think the EGR valve is blocked too because when I took the EGR tube out it was completely blocked?!
Thank you so much again and you video about the EVAP helped me to catch the problem and solve it 😁👍🏻
I don't think the two codes are related. However, you can quickly test the EGR valve with a vacuum tester. It's pretty simple on your Maxima - ua-cam.com/video/0lmLuLsloRU/v-deo.html
I found that my Oxygen Sensor was LOOSE! I had P0155 & P1151 (Ford F150 V6 4.2L 2002).
So you agree that Nissan sensors are placed in a hard-to-open places. which makes people life hard, even mechanics are not interested to fix it. Nissan is one complex, consumer offensive car. I wonder why no class suit was against Nissan so far. Anyhow, a great video, I gave you thumbs up.
+hypertuch lol thanks!
is p0150 the same??
hello, are P0155 and P0150 same sensors? I have a 1997 infiniti i30 and I got a P0150 ? THANKS!!!
art macias Yes, it's the same sensor. Cheers
THANK YOU!!!!
wrong bank 2 is where firing order # 2 spark plug is located some are on right side other on left side check your firing order band 1 is where # 1 spark plug is located
What if the clip to sensor is broken
there is one fault code P1445 evaporative emmision (EVAP) canister purge volume control valve.....infiniti i30 97 model....
I'll try to upload a video by the end of the week for P1445.
thank you very much....would be helpful for me
what are my chances that you'll ever do a video changing Cats???
Sorry, Patrick. Not planning on it any time soon.
My truck runs fine no issues but its throwing this code?
It's an emissions component. Often enough you won't notice any difference. However, if you live in a State that requires emission testing, the vehicle won't pass.
thanks for the video ! Im ready to set my 2000 maxima on fire!!! not getting power to sensor . losing power to everthing from windshield wipers to engine .. any suggestions .. someone told me could be ground... I am thinking knock sensor.. AnyThoughts???
Have you checked the battery and alternator? Check engine light on? A bad knock sensor wouldn't give you those symptoms. A bad ground would.
CarsNToys check engine lite is showing po155.. but tested it like you said. thinking its good.. soooo ground looks like the problem.. big favor next video you do if possible point out ground that may be causing me all these problems ..(putting the gas and lighter away) again thanks a bunch!!!!!!!!!!
Patrick Keigher ohhh alternator is newish ...battery newish also..
I would check the battery and alternator to be safe. If you don't have a tester your local auto part store will check for free.
got one . thanks
If I'm replacing the sensor I just cut the wire and put a deep socket on it No special tool required
Yes but sometimes you'll need the adapter for reinstallation.
I appreciate making the video but I don't understand something - you are getting the p0155 code yet when you check it out everything looks good; the ohms reading is within spec, the harness is seeing 12V and there's no continuity where there shouldn't be. So what's causing the code to get thrown?
I didn't have a code. Just went over the steps to diagnose.
what about different ones 3 wire,4 wire 5wire, this is useless
