Thank you kindly, Greg. Sadly, my friend, writing songs of protest is as far I get. 🤫I'm pleased you like this old song; a song I had hoped would date, but unfortunately hasn't.
Thank you very much, Paolo. You are very kind, my friend. I'm pleased you like this song. Your subscription is appreciated and very welcome. I'll check out your channel.
Happy New Year, Robin. Glad back here again to enjoy your marvelous singing and silky acoustic cover in the beginning of the New Year. Nice indeed my friend and see you again 🎉
Another song making a strong social comment. Mother Earth has certainly been taken for granted and treated rather badly for a long time now. People in general are more ecologically aware than in former times, but governments are still slow to move in the right direction! A very good song with a valid message for all of us, Robin! 🙂👍
As I said to Greg, I had hoped this song would date. Thank you so much, Robert. I'm a child of back then, and have written quite a few songs with a social commentary; a genre in need of a comeback. Your comment is true and very welcome, my friend.
Many thanks, Fingers. You're very kind, my friend. I'm glad you did, too. lol. I cut out the rubber on the second capo that covers the 6 (or 11 and 12) string. This gives me a drop D sound on D and G chord formations if the second capo is two frets above the nut or first capo. It's my way of cheating and getting a fuller sound when I hit the bass strings. I get the same effect if I use a normal capo and don't cover the 6 or 11and 12 strings. I hope that makes sense. Thank you for dropping by.
If you create a playlist, I will do a full listen and help build your watch hours. Appreciae it if you would od the same. Thanks much for your support.
I enjoyed this song.. Lovely tone from the guitar too.
@@PeterStrachanMusic Many thanks, Peter. I appreciate that, my friend. Cheers.
