It's just hard to believe court proceedings are used because of Black cultural HAIR styles of a teenager!!! This is simply ridiculous ! His hair is neat, well groomed and stylish in a manner that represents his culture. Why are we focusing on hair instead of education for this young man? I hope he becomes a Lawyer and help combat this nonsense. Stay strong young man.
Put in a grievance on the judge. The mission statement of Justice The Department of Justice (DOJ) is "to uphold the rules law, to keep our country safe, and to protect civil rights." Independence and impartiality. Stop the unjust on. No one is above the law.
I think too many people discount self esteem and expression in young people. Let's leave children alone in how they dress and concentrate on teaching them to respect themselves and others. Hair DOES NOT DISTRACT from education. This kind of judicial behavior distracts from necessary rulings, though. How about the courts concentrate on violence and crime instead?
This is really disturbing. The judge and the school overstepped. This young man's hair has nothing to do with his learning brain. His hair..... Tight, short, long, braided, twisted, pulled up or down is hos preference. Why are we having to write laws for a limited perspective (opinion) of a judge who clearly does not understand black hair styles and a school administrator who needs to change their rules. The board of education needs to discipline the school for putting him in isolation. The judge clearly is not qualified to rule in this case. Both parties owe that family an apology.

The CROWN Act, which stands for "Create a Respectful and Open World for Natural hair," is legislation that was created in 2019 by Adjoa Asamoah. She co-created the CROWN Coalition, along with Orlena Nwokah Blanchard, Esi Eggleston Bracey and Kelli Richardson Lawson. Together, these women have been advocating for people with textured hair and hairstyles-whether it's an Afro, braids, twists, locs, bantu knots or a variety of curl types-to be able to exist in a space without discrimination. Asmoah is also the "Senior Advisor for Racial Equity" to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary. She reacted to Thursday's verdict, telling CBS News Texas, "Those who violate laws enacted to make it illegal to discriminate must ultimately be held accountable." She continued to say: "What has been happening to Darryl George is wrong, on multiple levels, and there should be collective outrage - including from those same people who profess to be believers of individual rights. What we have seen, including throughout history, is these people will use a PROXY for race without hesitation. These alleged race neutral policies disproportionately impact Black people! In this particular case, from the photos I've seen, it's seemingly impossible to determine the "length" of his hair-as styled. As such, the decision is quite literally unfathomable."

Why is black hairstyles needed to be argued in court, no one elses hair is governed by law. So petty!! A waste of court time. Hair styles have no business taking up court proceedings!!! This is just more control of the Black people in this america.
Why do u argue about what kind of skin pigmentation, or texture of hair ,length, or kind of styles, ne person does with how they adorn their attributes acquired by Their Creator, those of whom are upset with attributes of ne1s' physical attributes, really should b posing all of their objections to ones CREATOR, as long as an individual maintain health, cleanliness, and, promote safety of self and others is NOT, again, NOT the concern of others PERIOD!!! Ne person trying to govern another persons' NATURAL ATTRIBUTES r insanely out of their senses of reality. Take it up with THE MOST HIGH !!!!! This issue is none of mans' concern.
The JEALOUSY is palpable. I agree there should be restrictions on appearances within institutions, however if neatly kept or not distracting--there should be no cause for these types of unnecessary injustices. We're STILL here people 🤦🏽♀️
Everyone has to look at it as a biblical point of view. They wanted to cut his locs off just like in the scriptures of Samson. Because they know that we are the true Israelites.
The only rules when it comes to girls hair is to not dye the hair unnatural colors. But the girls can wear their hair whatever length they want but the boys can't.
Try to get away from these white people, they will unalive you as you sleep. They pick pick pick. The sun will take them out for their act's of hatred. They are no longer needed.
The threat is that deep?... Are we hearing this right... A hair style? These people are that in fear where a hair style is a threat, this is beyond belief and very troubling. This is down right disgusting bigoted behavior. Sickening...
I say it's time for him to go to another school either within his state or better yet do online school is no way you should be behind trying to prove a point definitely get your education. This is a sinister shame. But I'm so proud of Dr. Candice sticking by him
This answers the question of why many black women feel the need to wear weaves and wigs… because these employers discriminate when it comes to our hair texture and we need to have a job! It’s a shame!
Ask the Principal or School Administrators how long his hair is? They have no idea bc he keeps it n updos. These ppl are Dumb, they won't back down just bc they want 2 be right so bad but they know they're Wrong. These are the crucial yrs where kids express who they are & who they're going 2 be. Each child has that Right. And the school shld be supporting that. I applaud this young man & his family for fighting 2 be who he his. Leave these kids Alone, let them Live!
It seem to me that the Judge is racist in him and shouldn’t be on the bench, this has to be a private school, if that wasn’t an issue when he registered and money paid what’s the problem now, sue them and then go to another school, because after this they’re going to make his life hell there.
Ridiculous how an opinion of one ethnicity can dictate what we can or cannot do. As stated, this young man is in class for an education not to be ridiculed for his hairstyle. How dare them!
It's all for show for the courts they got on him because he came in half in fro and half looking roughly done by his neighbor. Then the lawyer seen money to be made so they sent him to her stylist until they get through this waste of the taxpayers dollar
We as black people should be doing better. We spend our time fighting for ridiculous causes like heir on a boy's head instead of what goes inside his head in school. Education is the key to success. Nothing should get in the way of your studies even heir. We should spend this energy fighting against crimes in our neighborhoods, Education for our kids especially black boys. But we're getting carried away by politicians that want to use the platform for their own agenda.
Before you report your ridiculous uninformed opinion, learn to spell. hair, not heir. black people have rights just like other cultures. It may not seem important to you, but then again, it's not about you! IS IT? WEIRDO!
I say this too. Its not that big to let it interfere woth his education. Let him accomplish that and gain a skill FIRST then come around later to fight. There's more important matters.
I believe that one of the reasons he is fighting this injustice regarding his hair, is that some of the hair woven into his hair is that of his deceased grandfather. I also believe that the part that would be cut is his grandfather's hair and he knows that he won't be able to get anymore of his grandfather's hair. I think it is a custom of his family and or ancestors to interweave the hair of a deceased family member into their own hair to remain close to that person.
Much love for Senator Barbara Lee Jackson. The mission statement for justice is.
Thanks for standing up for our children, God Bless ❤.
This is Sad that this World will fight for anybody but Black People.✊🏽👌🏽👏🏾
Lord, let there be justice!!!
The principal needs to be fired immediately
If we’re going to discriminate hairdos where can I register my complaint of trumps?
🙄
File 13.
Thank you Representative Jackson!
The JEALOUSY is palpable. I agree there should be restrictions on appearances within institutions, however if neatly kept or not distracting--there should be no cause for these types of unnecessary injustices. We're STILL here people 🤦🏽♀️
Very unfortunate....this is why we need our own schools that teach curriculums that empower our youth and celebrate their culture...
Sick of this stupidity.
Me too! Just another way to try to make black people get in line with white people’s culture.
Please Ms Jackson Lee keep standing with and for the under served maligned and outcast of our society❤❤❤😊😊😊
Everyone has to look at it as a biblical point of view. They wanted to cut his locs off just like in the scriptures of Samson. Because they know that we are the true Israelites.
So many don’t have a clue. They do this stuff innately. They don’t even fully understand their hatred.
Wonder what the schools rules are on hair length for girls. His hair isnt even hanging past the ears, as their rule states.
We need to be separated from the white people. All other people come to America separates. They are wise for doing so.
Candice sticking by him
A True Violation! Thank you for putting a flod light on this matter MBN
This answers the question of why many black women feel the need to wear weaves and wigs… because these employers discriminate when it comes to our hair texture and we need to have a job! It’s a shame!
Fight this on all levels!
The object is to keep us fighting over things anything .
It seem to me that the Judge is racist in him and shouldn’t be on the bench, this has to be a private school, if that wasn’t an issue when he registered and money paid what’s the problem now, sue them and then go to another school, because after this they’re going to make his life hell there.
That young man and the others has the Victory. Congrats
They trying to take his right to vote bottom line
Ridiculous how an opinion of one ethnicity can dictate what we can or cannot do. As stated, this young man is in class for an education not to be ridiculed for his hairstyle. How dare them!
And his hair is actually done up and looks professionally styled and maintained very well and healthy, not even wild and rough!
Let us say young man be proud be strong we all love you and we are all behind you 101 God is behind you 101%
Praying for this young man and his family!
It's always a fight for the superior race. SMH.
You need to Fire the Superintendent immediately what is the hold up the world is watching
Tbey needed you to perm because they wanted your money.
Impact their money!
Take him out that district please
He's enslaved or in captivity at school. Solitary confinement is used in Prison.
Were are the black athletes because those guys wear dreads and braids black athletes should get beyond this young man.
non blks pay them, not gonna happen, if it does it'll be old athletes or 1 or few for a two seconds before theyll be made to apologize
That's crazy going through this in this day and age still!
“All this about my hair” OMG
LEAVE OUR FUTURES ALONE…#AMERIKKKA…LAWSUITS FOR THEM…AGAINST OUR FUTURES…
That young man looks very cleancut with his rows.that are literally a work of art ...this is absurd and yes racially motivated ...stop it !!!
It's all for show for the courts they got on him because he came in half in fro and half looking roughly done by his neighbor. Then the lawyer seen money to be made so they sent him to her stylist until they get through this waste of the taxpayers dollar

No that’s exactly how he wears his hair from the beginning. Talk about what you know not what FoxFakeNews said.
He is behind on his grades and it's always more to the story 18 years old

You are beautiful with OR without hair!!! Own it and be proud!
Sounds like criminal and inhumane treatment of a minor.
It bothers their devilish souls because it reminds them that we are the ORIGINAL People of this Planet and they’re NOT!!
They're*
@@moodyringtarotllc1624 Thanks for the correction ❤️
@@marlak4203So they should have just given in and cut his hair to appease them pale folks?
I believe that one of the reasons he is fighting this injustice regarding his hair, is that some of the hair woven into his hair is that of his deceased grandfather. I also believe that the part that would be cut is his grandfather's hair and he knows that he won't be able to get anymore of his grandfather's hair. I think it is a custom of his family and or ancestors to interweave the hair of a deceased family member into their own hair to remain close to that person.
Much love for Senator Barbara Lee Jackson. The mission statement for justice is. The Department of Justice (DOJ) is to uphold the rules of the laws to keep our country safe and to protect civil rights. Independence and impartiality. Black Americans must not let certain individuals who choose to work for the justice system show outright basis for the rules of law.
Shout out to Rep Ms Jolinda, for actually stating out loud why so many blk ppl are forced to wear their hair a certain to fit non blk ideals of beauty, cleanliness, and "professionalism".
Even tho it's a shame we have to still go through this but those people look beautiful on that stage and I love the way she speaks ❤❤❤
Anti CRT and the banning of black American history is also a civil and human rights violation as well
Dear Heavenly Father please help this young man and his family continue to be strong. Keep him now and in the future Lord. In Jesus Name I pray. 🙏🏾 Amen.
SHELIA!!! just say BLACK PEOPLE, a BLACK STUDENT.

shes not AA and unfortunately a lot of blk ppl that aren't are more non blk adjacent than AA's in many cases. Theres a huge African and Islander community in certain areas of America, and unless its them they "dont relate"
Man never disappoints when it comes to picking frivolous arguments about nothing. Train his brain not his look. I am speechless that certain groups want to continuously decide what other people do. Leave people alone. Disciplined because of hair is mentally by those having a problem his h!ir to the point of putting an impressionable young person in isolation 😮. How much more shameful are our leaders going to be. Shame on you. We are way eyo d this. We are better than this. Those at that school are heartless and bring shame to their office to make such a foolish judgemental.
Good job Congresswoman. We need to come out from among them and be separate. Why do we continue such hateful and mentally ill people run our lives. Natural is always better.
She made my spirit shiver and quiver within my soul 🤣 21:20
👉🏿🧲You can come on up their and have a home up there.😮😳🤯🤭🤔🧐💞thank you Mrs. Jelanda Jones 😁
This is really ridiculous that we are still fighting these ridiculous fights! They make laws to discriminate against people. I am sure they have crushed this young man’s confidence. Stand strong with your children. I say take your children out of school. No children no money.
And there's no telling what kind of psychological tactics and micro-aggressions the school staff are using on this boy while he has to be off in a room by himself all school day long *everyday* already! Trying to break him and his family down so they can back off on this case!
@@moodyringtarotllc1624 They are only letting him come to school to receive government money. We should start pulling our children out of these schools and see how much funding they receive.
We're not covered in the state of Missouri at all.
I hope this reverses that original Judges asinine decision.
In the brink of WW3 and some douche bag in charge doesn't what a black kid to be free. He should be fired for not protecting the kid
To have to explain ourselves about our hair is wild! This is just pure hatred against black people!!!
I'd never knew Texas was racist now I know and I'm telling everybody if they don't know
