I'm always amazed at the number of purple foxgloves in this part of the country, they're all over the place. Add a nice splash of colour though. I got a load of ponga logs delivered for the garden, and they even started sprouting out of those.
Yay! MORE tunnels. I love 'em. I remember the old ones on Mount Messenger when I was a kid. Probably gone now - for "Health & Safety", don'tcha know? There used to be an excellent one running from Petone to Wainuiomata or something like that, but it got gated off. Probably been filled in by now, for the same reasons. Where did all the fun go?
Hey, how long does this track take roughly, I’ve read some places about 4 hours, we are planning on heading through next week sometime and curious how long it takes, thanks 😊

Pleased that you enjoyed! Our trips with this group are always quite comical.

Me too. I just love tunnels. My favourite so far was the tunnels at Napoleon Hill. Have you seen that video?
That tunnel.
So good.
Dug by hand, I bet, when men were men, etc.
Absolutely! It's quite incredible what our ancestors achieved through hard labour.

It was our 3rd time, and it's always different challenges and heaps of fun. I'm sure we'll be back again in the future 😆

Thanks a ton! Happy New Year.

Hi Megan, it's in pretty good shape at the moment so 3-4 hours should do it. We stopped to play and also cleared the slip so we took about 4 hours.
