I really have enjoyed your video. I did SF70 around June and spent so much time gripping my steering wheel with my tongue out in concentration that I missed a lot of the track. Thanks for a different and clear perspective.

Hi Jill my old stomping ground! You could have gone back via the Braemore Track - it goes into the back of Waverley. Used to do it in my car but condition not good enough last time I checked! Also we used to have a farm at the end of Ridge Road that has a track going thru to the Waitotara Valley - a place called Puao. Been thru it in a Suzuki Jimney (including going over a dead cow - still smell it) but had to turn around because of a washout. However since the takeoff in Manuka honey the track is apparently open again. Also another loop road I have done with my late Dad is up Rangitatau East Road (Left at Kai iwi - past Bushy Park) past Paparangi and turn right at Kauarapaoa Road and back into Whanganui on the West side of the river! Ages since we did it and it was a bit sketchy in a car!

Great video, one of my favourite places when younger for Sika hunting. That road yourtook used to be called Access 15 and leads (as you found) to the Waipakahi River which is essentially the source of the Tongarairo. That little stream and you crossed is the Waikato Stream and generally what used to be easy public access has been made difficult with private owners staking their claims to several tracts of land which have river boundaries. I used to drive my Landrover upstream quite a way in summer. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome footage. The bog reminds me of our Telegraph Track and Gunshot tracks in Cape York top of Australia. You guys would love those tracks.

That was a great wreckers yard, even in that condition most of those cars would still be worth thousands of dollars if in NZ. At least the snakes would be good thief deterrent at that yard too.

Definitely an incredible display of vehicles. Outstanding craftsmanship and skills in the restorations. To be honest though, I actually prefer museums, and collections with more "survivor" type of exhibits. I don't mind some rust and dust 😊

Incredible event. You couldn't go there and not buy something. I've been looking out for one of the old chopper style bicycles, but they're hard to come by now, and expensive when one does crop up. Just a bit of nostalgia, you know.

I'm always amazed at the number of purple foxgloves in this part of the country, they're all over the place. Add a nice splash of colour though. I got a load of ponga logs delivered for the garden, and they even started sprouting out of those.

Although I've never really been into the off roading scene before, I must say your videos are becoming quite addictive to watch. I've recently bought a property down Taumarunui, so it's interesting to discover all these places through your videos.
