It's crazy how he loses to people who obviously have no clue what they are doing outside of trying some basic beginner strategies they learned from Arcade Quest. 20 year+ veteran of Fighting Games losing to people playing a FG for the first time.
Cause Phil literally have been regressing more in his gameplay, he couldn't even beat an game he already beaten - re0 -
Because Phil fights like an idiot, who assumes that his opponents are idiots who only beat him because they cheat, spam or lag.
Gotta be longer than 20+ years, technically I'm almost 30 year veteran since Tekken 1/SSF T2 and Phil is wayyy older than me.
Do I play FG? Rarely. Do I claim to be an ex-Top player of FG? No. Would I absolutely demolish DSP in Tekken 8 a game I've literally never touched? Absolutely. Because I'm not a regard who holds his joystick forward all game then cries that my character can't block and shit hits me.
Unlike human beings with an average IQ, Phail is incapable of recognizing patterns, and his fighting style has been the same in every game since SSF2ST: Spam control throws and 1 or two very basic combos until money, end begging..
Not only that. Phil is also a delusional clown who thinks he's good at every single game he plays.
I used to be scared of going into ranked and just stayed in training mode. But after seeing DSP mash his way into the ranks I realized I was way better than I gave myself credit for and was over trained for the ranks I thought I could reach. Thanks DSP for the inspiration.
I had the same thoughts but made it to warrior pretty easy with 56% winrate with my yoshimitsu and honestly dsp hasn't changed if a character has something he can cheese with he'll abuse that rather then actually learning the character 😂🤷🤡
Dude.. thats also a really weak argument. Ranked is made for you to face opponents on your lvl. There is NO prestige, just the best way to face opponents on your skill lvl. stop being afraid of playing the intended game. XD

Man is so strange in fighting games, if you pay attention to his play its so bad. For any game he walks forward on people to grab. Even after heat smash he'll try to grab, and it's not just tekken. It's not a grappler mentality, he just default to grab because it does a set amount of damage. His fundamentals are trash in general.
His combos are so garbage, i only knowlike one person personally whos got worse but they dont even go into practice
But yeah phils combos either do little dmg or hes so inconsistent, and he barely uses command grabs so yeah he aint even good at grappling,its so unstable

Equally, he just refuses to accept any mistake. I have never played fighting games but it's so striking that Phill uses attacks that have such slow elaborate animation even though their opponent can reply with quicker animated attacks. I have no idea about frame data but just merely looking at the animation is already enough to point toward something being wrong.
Lol this game has amazing replay tools to help you learn the game and he is not using them at all

He's playing all these characters because if you rank one up it raises the minimum rank on new characters. Basically he wants to fight noobs all day and act like he's good at the game. Meanwhile all he does is Izuna Drop throw on repeat.

Pokes, Mixups, Launchers, Throws and Sweeps are spam to DSP because it hits him. He doesn't know what lows, mediums and highs are and has no interest in learning so every attack in the game is a spam attack.
He tried to blame his loss to steve fox on 'lack of character knoweldge', a character that has stayed the same for 20 years, christ, just try to learn the game phil

You see Jin comes in with a 20 frame punch that I block and Yoshimitsu has a 10 frame jab, so you take the difference and you get me with 10 frame advantage, so Jin KNOWS that and shouldn't even try! But then you add my launcher into the mix and your chance for being grounded goes way down. Tbf as a Steve main when he goes into peekaboo stance D2 is extremely weird cus he does a little walk while in a low crouch so it evades high moves but it looks weird cus it looks like it will hit I've tripped a lot of people because of that
