Hey Dave, Like I’ve said previously..This was definitely my best acoustic purchase to date! In 2021 I bought 5 different acoustics of all shapes and sizes..But unfortunately due to a lower back injury from a few years ago I couldn’t play any of them comfortably for very long.. When the US version of the Acoustasonic was released I new just from the body shape alone that it was the guitar for me..But of course the price point and the fact that I was not long getting back into playing again, I couldn’t justify the purchase.. Then there’s whispers of a Mexican made Acoustasonic and I was on it!! Although still pricey as you know everything in Aus is more expensive lol 😆 I new I had to try one! Luckily my local store had one arrive and I was there that same day..Played her..Loved her and sold my other acoustics to pay for it!! A win win!! 🤓🤘🏻

Excellent Demo & Review, thank you. I liked the way that you concentrate on the guitar you are reviewing rather than showing off your obvious playing skills. I personally love the unplugged sound, but that is just my opinion. I set the action with the micro-tilt and it is now perfect for me. Once again well done. 😎
I love the lo fi settings on mine. It’s a great couch guitar that’s good for small homes where you have limited space, limited budget. I bought mine used and paid well under a grand, got a good deal for once in my life :)
What a great review. I was wanting a side by side comparison of the American and Mexican made and you nailed it. I also wanted the comparison of the different sounds in the three positions and it was great to hear them more than once. Well worth the time spent watching.
This is a fantastic review. Thank you. I had already almost decided to buy and your review convinced me 100%. Seeing the model you were playing, I decided to change from the black option I had originally thought of purchasing to the sunburst option
Just rewatched this review 9 months on. I bought it the Acoustasonic. I love it. Your observations, comments and suggestions were, and are, spot on. Thanks mate!
Great review. And you play very Well my friend. You really made this sound Awesome. I just got one. It's pretty cool. Now if I can just play like you 😊
Excellent review. Best one I've seen so far. Your comparisons between the tones were genius! Thank you! Would have loved to hear you play the electric side though some distortion or a high gain amp setting.
If you really want to go crazy on the more Tele side of it; I put 9 gauge acoustic string on it and it was very fun to play but of course the acoustic side suffers. BUT, if you needed a Tele for a gig and didn’t have a normal one, this will get that done for sure.
I have watched every UA-cam on this telecaster and yours is the most informative and best that I’ve seen. Great job. Pls do same with jazz master player
I prefer playing acoustic because I like the sound but I find electrics easier to play. I was hoping this would get the best of both but it's not looking that way. Any feedback on bending strings on this when not plugged in? I would have thought that was a unique benefit to this guitar.
Fantastic demo of a guitar I’m really curious about. One big question for me though: as a hybrid instrument does/will it need any sort of initial specialist set -up? And if (when?) something goes wrong is it likely that a regular luthier would be able to sort?
Since it’s sound is based on modelling they could have an app with which you could choose what sounds you have in each selection as well as their relative volumes....
Great review! Spectacular content as usual. FYI I have searched everywhere for a good Autumn Leaves lesson and nothing even comes close to your lessons. Is there a chance that you will ever make an Autumn Leaves lesson? It would be a great addition to your content and I believe will be a nice touch to the styles covered by your lessons. Keep on trucking with your priceless channel!
Thank you Dave for a really nice and informative review. Would this guitar be something for someone who prefers the acoustic sound but sometimes would like to solo or play an electric guitar? Or is it better to just get an electric?
Nice description. Eye watering price point is right. Looks like a fun axe. Price was still too dear for me, but the brief sale over last weekend changed my mind. Even at 30 percent off it's expensive. Two guitars in one is not a good pitch if it costs more than the two guitars it replaces. They probably cleared a lot of back stock with that sale. But I struggled to pull the trigger.
Wow! That just moved up to the top of the list of guitars I will get when I finish your courses! Did I hear a trace of Damien Rice in your demo? Hopefully that is predictive of a tutorial soon!
Thank you for the video ❤ Can you please tell what should be a proper distance between strings and fretboard on Acoustasonic player with acoustic strings? Mine are almost at 1/4 inches at the 12th fret and it feels to high. And if it is, how to lower it? If you can help me out, I would be forever grateful.
Hello, Amazing review. As you seems to have tried, how is the electric sound on an acoustic amp? The loop pedal is plug into an acoustic amp or electric amp? As you play both type. Thank you!
The truth is Dave you make anything sound amazing🤣🤣 jokes aside I have just taken delivery of mine today and it is a magic guitar for looping, I have 5 Martin top ends and Taylors but for looping this takes the cake for sure. Thanks for a great video.
Hey Dave… Extremely wonderful review here. You will always be my go-to guy for anything guitar related and your lessons have always been spot-on and the very best!!! Personally, I still think they are still too expensive but you make them sound pretty wonderful. Fender is just charging too much for these guitars. While it works great and sounds pretty nice, it just cost too much for most players. I have a Gibson Les Paul tribute with P90’s that I was able to get new for $899. One of the coolest guitar I have is a Fender Mexican Telecaster with Seymour Duncan Hot Pickups with the Fishman system on that I have about $980 into. Then I have a Godin Multiac that ties into a Roland synth and with everything including the synth unit I spent right under $1000 US for it all. I also have a Michael Duncan Patriot guitar with the Seymour Duncan P-Rail pickups with triple shot switching which cost $899 new. Then I have my old 1977 Yamaha F312 Twelve String guitar which I bought for $325. …and finally, for outside playing here in humid Florida, I have a Garrison composite acoustic with internal carbon fiber bracing. (Yes, the Canadian company that Gibson bought and got rid if because their guitars were too good.) My point being that you can certainly get two or three great guitars for the same price point that fender wants for these guitars.
Hey Buddy. Thanks for your comment and great commentary. All very valid points! I think this guitar is in a different category altogether though, it won’t fully replace and acoustic or an electric entirely but is one that can do both to a decent extent. As I mentioned in the video I don’t think it’s a guitar a player would start on when learning, but rather one for live acoustic performers or those looking to experiment with a unique sound. Great to hear from you again :)
