U12T sounds more natural and more relaxed in that manner but I personally find the Mest to reveal more of the micro nuances and instrumentation leading it to be more engaging.
mest details, layering and separation are top, imaging could be also top but soundstage is not that big, bass can be boosted and treble toned down by higher resistance on output (it still has clarity but bass is way better/thicker sometimes even feel like ground is shaking xD maybe its that bone conductor effect)
Unfortunately I haven’t tried any of 64audio’s offerings aside from the u12t. I’m always looking to try new iems though so I’ll keep the a18ts in mind 👍
I agree that the u12t has a very natural tuning. However my tastes lean more towards the mest, because it has a more clear and detailed presentation. When I listen to it, everything in the song are shoved right at me without muddiness. For the u12ts, it takes a while to pick out the details in the song but it's definitely there.
with mest from my experience stage depend on recording but imo its not very big but to be honest Im a headphone guy so my expectations are possibly to high (I own high quality headphones so im used to at least good soundstage, mest got medium/decent stage)
Thank you very much. Exactly what I was looking for !

Listening at low volume the difference is little, but at higher volume MEST is much better. What's going on?
Because of the fletcher munson curve effects.
@@shentobento1079 Woah, did not know about such interesting thing. Thank you very much, I will search about it right now!
Mest sounds fantastic, so clear! Have you had any seat time with 64 a18t’s ? Curious how they compare

Can I ask you which one do you prefer ? I personally, at least taking this sound demo found the U12T more natural
