Randy is as real as they come. A true craftsman with passion to build a great machine. So glad to see him get the opportunity to brag on his truck here and have it so well received. Thank you for making such a complimentary video revealing this truck.
The truck is simply perfection IMO but the real story is what Randy has done here. This looks like a build you'd see from a high end shop, not from one guy- the steering wheel is just one example of vision and execution.
I really love the mash up on the channel, from guys doing it themselves in their garages, to guys that bought them, to guys that own shops that bring customer rides and stuff they've been building for themselves.
Well, you can definitely tell that man is a handyman! He sure as hell nailed that truck!😎 Being so damn dialed in and driving so well with a custom suspension, says a lot about the guy's abilities!
I’m a ford guy that’s also a self employed painter/handyman+ & I think this guy and build are great. (I never moved to LA, but I’ve done some local theater & commercials) I’m building an ‘88 t-top Mustang right now and yes, I’m doing literally everything myself. I’m not coyote swapping but I’m building and bored/stroked/& forged 347 with a twin turbo kit. I got everything second hand cheap or swapped for everything.
A truer custom build one cannot ask for. Enough power, enough handling and stopping, enough stock motor for reliability....... You cannot ask for more for enjoyment and daily driving..... The high end builds are beautiful.....but they sit in an airconditioned garage under lights and mirrors.......bling bling This is lights and mirrors when you know what to look for......on the road with a driver that enjoys it!!!! My ideal build......
Man, this one bnrought back some memories. My first vehicle was a '65 F-100, 6' step side body, straight six cylinder, 1 barrel Holley and 3 on the tree. Absolutely love Randy's build here!
This guy does not need to be a painter/handyman…he should be building badass rides for a living! I know he subbed out a lot of it, but his network seems to be on point. A very well sorted truck, that is for sure!
Probably one of my favorites of a 61-66 F100 builds I've seen. So understated and not overwrought in any way. At first I thought Foose, based on the the subltle mods and stance, and I mean that as a compliment of the highest order. Stunning for a garage build, I'm constantly amazed at the talent level of self builds, a bit envious of that ability too.
LOVE THE TRUCK!!. Im not an early 60's F100 guy, but Randy got it right with color, fitment, and stance... Hats off to that fella! 👏 👌 👍 .. he's got skillz!
The amount of fabrication that went into this build is just mind boggling. I admire the "sleeper" look and understated attention to detail, it takes a very keen eye to spot the mods. Good Job, looks amazing!
Gotta be honest guys, the trucks you show on the channel are insanely nice and well built front to back etc! Such a badass older Ford truck and is so well done simple, clean etc the color, wheels etc are awesome.
I've been around Ford half-tons all my life....on the farm/ranch......thrown bales in/out of them, double-dated with my buddies in them, drag-raced them.....I love love 'em. Randy kept the soul of the truck intact and made the everything wonderfully and tastefully functional. What a beast!
Dude are you fricken kidding? Holy shit that man is a craftsmen beautiful pickup man! Super chill humble as they come what a stud! I am getting a kick out of the bits of humor. Your shoots are looking awesome
Randy sir! 👌🤌perfection and hand built Mona Lisa OH MY GOD ❤ but also Shawn/Sean i respect you to the ends for the amount of respect you have for everyones vehicles, and i legit watch your videos just for your interviews and reactions but respect brother! Love you man 😊
Amazing. I think keeping (& boxing) the original frame makes it more of a classic truck than body swapping. (Not that I have anything against body swaps. They seem like an efficient way to go.)
Wow I love this video! Amazing job Randy! It’s wonderful seeing dreams come true and projects completed like this and you are for sure an inspiration to all of us. ❤👏🏻
Hat's off to Randy for building them how we all used to.... by ourselves!!! With help from buddies of course. This one is a special video Shawn, great guy, fabulous truck, and a really fun watch (thanks to Beavis and Butthead) LOL. Cheers!!!
Great job Randy!! I went the same way with my 66 C10. Difference was I stayed with the matching 283 but added a 700r4. Ironworker by trade and went into uncharted territory also. Great job Shawn bringing Randy on the show buddy.
I'm not in the pick up stuff (It's rare in Europe) but this one is amazing... I'm always impress, videos after videos, how much skills they have to build such master pieces. 😍
As soon as I saw this truck, I knew it must have been a result of when I saw Shawn and one of his buddy’s walking around Quarantine Cruise. I tried to catch up to Randy as everyone was cruising towards Newport Beach to cruise up PCH… I never did get a chance to catch up - as I wanted to ask him if his truck was Wimbledon White - same color I’m going to paint my other Pinto (72). Hey there, Shawn. I yelled out to you from my brown bone stock 73 Pinto, and later, I chimed out to your friend as I was leaving. Very cool, you got Randy’s truck on here, and now I don’t have to ask about the color. Great truck.
The guy in the video helping Randy with the roof replacement is none other than Garbz, aka Dave. how do I know that? I was there helping also. Randy did such an amazing job and I'm happy to say I have seen every step of this truck over the years, from the way it was in 09 to today. Beautiful Work Randy! Dave would be proud.
Yessir, Bill! I gave them a bunch of pics and vids of our roof swap to highlight that part of our conversation. I'm sorry they didn't put you in but so glad they included our old friend Garbz!! RIP. He was the mastermind of that roof swap for sure!!!
Easily in my top 3 trucks on this channel. Beyond amazing😳 Wish he could help build my 56 with a 58/59 short bed fleetside apache. Building rides detail is top notch.
A year or so out of High school I bought a 67' F100 stepside 6' bed with a 352ci v8 around 1976 or 77. Dam tuff truck. Was running a 4v carb, 4:11rr and a C6Auto trans. Kept that truck over 10 years time. Ran factory dual exhaust, glass packs with exhaust exiting in front of the rear tires under the running boards on each side. Put wood stake railings on the bed. 15" Turbine aluminum rims on all 4 corners. No power steering or brakes. Had my Trans. shifter mounted on the console hump with a mustang shifter. This was in the 70s and 80s. I also had a 69' Ply Road Runner at the same time.
At the end of the piece you said something like “given this guy doesn’t build vehicles for a living” was kind of a kick in the nuts for me. Most people who build cars for a living have their own cars neglected because after 6 days a week of building other people’s cars to earn some mediocre income, you don’t want to go F with your own builds. “The Cobbler’s Children have no Shoes” kind of cliche. But I will say this with certainty; Randy Ross, does in fact, build cars for a living because it is his Life and his Life’s work. He is the epitome of a “Lifer”. Excellent feature piece and a very accurate representation of Randy’s commitment and consummate professionalism to the car craft community and culture.
Great shoot love that truck and his self improvements on it. Cool dude. You two need to audition in the next Tarantino as villains. lol awesome video thanks again! Edit: I should have waited til the Beavis and Butthead bit

If this isnt one of the best F100's on the planet than idk what else to look for. This guy has made this truck immaculate.
The truck is simply perfection IMO but the real story is what Randy has done here. This looks like a build you'd see from a high end shop, not from one guy- the steering wheel is just one example of vision and execution.
Totally agree. Mind blowing how good this truck is and he’s not a “pro” builder. Wow!
Sweet truck. Not over the top. Simple and clean
this!
I really love the mash up on the channel, from guys doing it themselves in their garages, to guys that bought them, to guys that own shops that bring customer rides and stuff they've been building for themselves.

This truck is 100% a class act. Kudos to the gentleman who built her.
Cool to see more F100s make it on the channel. You always find the best rides.

My ideal build......
Wow. I'm a GM person mostly but THAT fucking truck is RIGHT! Great job brother. Home built dream truck.....
Man, this one bnrought back some memories. My first vehicle was a '65 F-100, 6' step side body, straight six cylinder, 1 barrel Holley and 3 on the tree. Absolutely love Randy's build here!
The builder chose all the right components, that not only look & function great, but also are long distance highway proven! PERFECT!!
This guy does not need to be a painter/handyman…he should be building badass rides for a living! I know he subbed out a lot of it, but his network seems to be on point. A very well sorted truck, that is for sure!
Shocked he did this on his own. The work is that good and most importantly, the drive is flawless
Some people get all the talents, some people can’t wipe their own arse! My man definitely has the talent
I always love watching these builders, who have no training, just figuring it out as they go a long and make something amazing.
Probably one of my favorites of a 61-66 F100 builds I've seen. So understated and not overwrought in any way. Damn…this dude has mad skills. And he’s quite humble about it all! Job well done sir 💯🔥👍🏽🇺🇸🦾🐺💥🙏🏾
LOVE THE TRUCK!!. Im not an early 60's F100 guy, but Randy got it right with color, fitment, and stance... Hats off to that fella! 👏 👌 👍 .. he's got skillz!
It knocked me out when I saw it then got better once you ride in it or drive it. Great build
The amount of fabrication that went into this build is just mind boggling. I admire the "sleeper" look and understated attention to detail, it takes a very keen eye to spot the mods. Good Job, looks amazing!
He did such a great job! And it drives perfectly
Amazes me how smart and determined some people are. Man he aught to be proud.
He’s a figure it out kinda guy and nailed it on this build
True definition of garage built….what a talented guy!
Helluva truck.
Totally agree
Better looking than 90% of the Builders out there , the other 10% know who they are , but Damn that Truck is Pretty!!!!🤩
Gotta be honest guys, the trucks you show on the channel are insanely nice and well built front to back etc! Such a badass older Ford truck and is so well done simple, clean etc the color, wheels etc are awesome.
10:26 this when it starts to get crazy. I think Shawn’s reaction is everyone’s reaction when Randy keeps saying he did that too.. lol love it
That’s why I kept asking and everytime including the steering wheel was “yep, I did that too!”
Randy is a Great guy with an absolutely Awesome truck. Congratulations Randy !
I've been around Ford half-tons all my life....on the farm/ranch......thrown bales in/out of them, double-dated with my buddies in them, drag-raced them.....I love love 'em. Randy kept the soul of the truck intact and made the everything wonderfully and tastefully functional. What a beast!
Beautiful truck , so tastefully done.

Looks better in person.
Dude are you fricken kidding? Holy shit that man is a craftsmen beautiful pickup man! Super chill humble as they come what a stud! I am getting a kick out of the bits of humor. Your shoots are looking awesome
Randy is a true car guy and backs it up with lots of tasteful mods.
Totally agree
Beautiful truck, that F40 casually sitting there. Wow. 🔥🔥
My thoughts exactly
Killer truck and Randy is the real deal, putting in all the hard work. Great job Randy, truck is BITCHIN'!
At first I thought it was on a Crown Vic frame/platform... He's done a LOT of work on that frame/suspension... Beautiful outcome
What a bad ass build Randy! By that smile on your face I can tell you are proud of your work. And you should be!
Classy build by a classy guy.
Randy sir! 👌🤌perfection and hand built Mona Lisa OH MY GOD ❤ but also Shawn/Sean i respect you to the ends for the amount of respect you have for everyones vehicles, and i legit watch your videos just for your interviews and reactions but respect brother! Love you man 😊
One of the cleanest engine bays I've seen.
Nice!! Probably one of the best episodes. Randy knocked it out of the park! Great to see a self built vehicle 👍🏾
One of my favorites on all points, especially how flawless the drive is
Amazing. I think keeping (& boxing) the original frame makes it more of a classic truck than body swapping. (Not that I have anything against body swaps. They seem like an efficient way to go.)
What a beautiful truck and an absolutely astonishing home build
Wow I love this video! Amazing job Randy! It’s wonderful seeing dreams come true and projects completed like this and you are for sure an inspiration to all of us. ❤👏🏻
Well done ! ! You should be very proud.

It always amazes me to see someone with talent like that to build such a beautiful truck almost 100% by himself. Good lookin rig!
Awesome work Randy! The truck is amazing. Great build story!
Damn . Randy has a badass truck and he met Scully !
Good looking truck , he thought of everything! It is cool it uses Corvette suspension.
That’s a real truck wow I’m inspired by you and your art great stuff
I’m blown away by the fit and finish, not easy to do this on your own. Unreal so cool, nice job!
Same for me. Better than a lot of pro’s imo
Impressive, this what our automotive community is all about.
Amazing how this guy is pay attention to every detail in this truck, this is the best pickup which I saw from along time. Great episode. Greetings
15:00 -on, All of my guitar strings are buzzing. Great tone!! Very sweet ride!
Love self built hotrods. This one is quite innovative!
This! Is my kind of build, and Randy is as genuine as they come. 👍
This dude is great. Such incredible work and I love that he had so much photo and video of the build available for you to use.
Loved all the build content. Wish more people had that for our video
Great job Randy!! I went the same way with my 66 C10. Difference was I stayed with the matching 283 but added a 700r4. Ironworker by trade and went into uncharted territory also. Great job Shawn bringing Randy on the show buddy.
Nothing but AWESOME !!! Thanks for the video.
That's insane to do a 7k miles road trip..I would love to have the time and a car reliable enough to do that.. Absolutely amazing..Good Review..👍🏽🏁
Beautiful truck, saw this at the F100 show in pigeon forge in May
I'm a Chevy fan, but must say
YOU NAILD IT with this one !!!
Fantastic build ❤
Absolutely I am not a ford guy, this is a cool ride! Well done sir.
I'm not in the pick up stuff (It's rare in Europe) but this one is amazing...

One of the most beautifully-built trucks I've seen. 1 of 1!
The random boat sitting on the street with no trailer at 16:26 😅🤣
I missed that!! 😂😂 apparently the person pulling the boat did too!!! 😂😂
that boat was so random...lol...I was going to comment as we were driving by we were engaged in other conversation...lol...Good eye for catching that!
Gorgeous build meant to be driven and daily usable
Bad @$$ truck. Love the idea for the steering wheel.
He is an artist.
Great! For some reason , it does sound like a LS engine , probably because of the Vette rear part suspension 😀, 👍
Love these realistic garage builds super cool.
Saw this truck at the Texoma F-100 round up this year in Gainesville Tx. Amazing rig, about as perfect as you could build one.
The guy in the video helping Randy with the roof replacement is none other than Garbz, aka Dave. how do I know that? I was there helping also.

@@randysF100GT I’m glad they didn’t use that footage 😉. Excellent job on the truck sir.
Wow! Just wow. Sweet truck.
I think it's awesome that he built it, but that he drives it all over is a testament to his skills.
That many miles looking that good says it all for how well he built it
Easily in my top 3 trucks on this channel. Beyond amazing😳 Wish he could help build my 56 with a 58/59 short bed fleetside apache. Building rides detail is top notch.
Magnificent Randy could go into business creating beauties like this one I would pay $250’000 plus all day
Randy seems cooler than a ceiling fan. Would enjoy a beer with him
Great comment and yep…super cool guy
Thanks for showcasing such amazing independent talent- with bitchin rides !!
And its badass my kind of truckin❤💪🏼🏁👍😁 thanks bro have a great weekend ok later nailed it
This might be the coolest and most personalized car I’ve seen on the channel.
This is a cool ride ! And he seems like a really cool guy too

This '66 Ford F100 "GT" is a nice truck.
So good to see a regular guy build a super nice truck
At the end of the piece you said something like “given this guy doesn’t build vehicles for a living” was kind of a kick in the nuts for me.

Impressive. Beautiful truck.
Beautiful truck! I had a '59 Ford pickup when I was a senior in high school.
Crazy that he put that together himself😮
Best one You have had on there in my OP.
I’m a Chevy guy but man this sucker sounds wicked cool, nice truck 👍🏼
Absolutely Beautiful !
Hell yeah!
What a great truck that the average guy can obtain with some hard work. I love it
Great looking truck Randy seems like a cool dude! Love the show I look forward to seeing what you find next
Great truck and really a cool guy. Lots more coming from us
I have it in my driveway any day ! WOW !
Great shoot love that truck and his self improvements on it. Cool dude. You two need to audition in the next Tarantino as villains. lol awesome video thanks again! Edit: I should have waited til the Beavis and Butthead bit

Stunner and those rims look killer
Fascinating guy. Great pick up.
