Pawn Stars expert said 1944 steel wheat penny for $30k and it was in way better shape than this one picture. The seller wanted $102k but the appraiser said at auction it'd be $30k. Needless to say the guy thought appraiser was way off.

Okay there’s so many people saying in the comments they have a 1944 steel. And it’s exceedingly rare. I have a ton of 1943 steels, but no 44s.

I recently had a 1944d steel penny graded by annacs
I just found A 1944 penny that weigh 2.7 but it is not A good looking coin because I had A hard time identifying it until I weighed . I knew it had A wheat back but the obverse what was hard to recognize. I believe the mint mark is d.

I found a 44 Steel, it was rusted to the point I could not see the date. So I removed the rust with WD-40, and now I have the Zinc Planchet dated 1944. It weighs 2.7 grams. What should I do , is it worth anything?

Hi Jamie I have. a 1920 ,1942, (2) 1944 Pennies 1 of the 44' has a odd marking looks like it was perpusly put there, I have a 1941 Dime, although none stick to a magnet.

Don't clean them, collectors want original condition. Let the collector decide what to do with it

As a cashier, I got FOUR (4) 1944 steel pennies with NO mint mark. All 4 are attracted heavily to a magnet. All four weigh between 2.68 grams and 2.70 grams (and in between). What should I do?
they have no mint mark because they came from Philadelphia mint; have them verify first
John Kinney take 4 pennies and replace them. You’re not stealing just make sure you replace them with 4 other ones. It’s not like they will look at them and do anything. They will simply give them as change to customers.
