I bought the cd, Rendezvous Lounge right before deploying to Kuwait in 2004...stayed with me, everyone who heard it was like' WHO is THAT?" Made many fans, and it remains with me today as go to at anytime I want to just feel good with no apparent reason...:)
For those of you who love this you should also visit Mancini, Lujon, I'll stick with his version. This is a tribute to the man!

remix tu thème principal de "Lujon", composé par Henri Mancini. Titre initial de 1961, d'une durée de 2'30, reconnaissable à son thème principal fait de volutes violons et instruments à cordes. Fut composé pour une série américaine de l'époque et figure dans l'album de la BO de la série, mais "Lujon" ne fut choisi pour aucun des épisodes ! En revanche, par la suite, le thème musical fut récupéré dans quelques films, en publicité, et samplé / remixé lors de la mode des compilations de type "bars / cafés" en musiques électroniques type "ambient".

@@xiam19 this technically is basically the original there was no other recording that we heard other than that the one that you consider to be made in the 1960s so maybe they sold the rights to it I'm just confused as today I just recently seen this on being sampled in a lot of shorts and last time I checked I don't remember it being by that group that they're claiming the music to be by now mind you I've been listening to this song since I graduated high school in 2004 so I got the CD from I think earthbound trading company back in the day when they used to sell Cafe music.

it is. they used a sample of it and the track is called, properly, "lujon" named after a percussive instrument used in it. it has been featured in many many movies "The big lebowsky", "sexy beast" , "W.E." a film directed by Madonna just to name a fews.
