Canon sells a filter adapter "FA-DC58B" for attaching 58mm filters. Note: there is a built in neutral density filter. They also sell a Tele-converter lens "TC-DC58D" that is a 1.4x magnification. It requires a conversion lens adapter "LA-DC58K". In my opinion you don't need any filters or extra lenses with this camera. The built in zoom is 28-140 (35mm file equivalent). However it does have a USB interface to a computer and the free canon software can download pictures from the G12 so I would think you could also copy images from the camera to the iPad Photos app with the optional USB interface that apple sells or if you have a really new ipad they have a USB C port and are more general purpose. Does the camera have a internal memory for only one or two pictures? Or can you not watch pictures or transfer pictures to a computer without a memory card because the camera cannot even save one picture?
Is very good camera. A famous journalist even used once to cover the Arab Spring.

I have a G12 AND a G15. Love em both,but something about the feel of the G15 is OUTSTANDING.
For sure those Canons were really a handy size and high quality.

Is the quality good for capturing moon?
No. Not enough zoom range. You need 1200mm for a good moon shot. The Canon SX50 HS or better will get the job done.

The Canon G12 does not have interchangeable lenses. To take good shots of the moon you need a different camera with a super telephoto lens.
Does this camera take a wireless microphone for distance voice hearing while filming?

It does not have any internal storage. You cannot take a picture without an SD card plugged in. Thanks for watching.
