I have an Canon R100. I use an RF 100-400mm f5.6-8 IS USM, EF 100mm f2.8 macro lens with an adapter. I used to have a 24-105mm EF lens that I gave to my mom (paired with a Canon T7). I am saving up for the RF-s Sigma 18-50mm f2.8. I shoot mainly flowers and foliage with my R100. I love my R100 as I am a hobby photographer and the R100 did not break the bank. The R100 is my first mirrorless camera. Coming from the T7, 5D mark ii and iii I love the digital viewfinder as it shows me what Iam getting in the photo no guess work needed. My R100 definitely takes better photos (paired with a good $600. lens) than my iPhone 15 Pro Max.
@@irishRocker1 I would say R50 is lightweight every day entry level APS-C, whereas the R8 is full frame for enthusiast photographer with great autofocus and perfect video features. You can also have 2x R50 for price of one R8 (depends on your location). So it depends. I would recommend you to try them out before you buy.
@@JurajPadychyes, twice the price, so not a common comparison. 😂 R50 is light and compact and would be less worried about it in holidays. Cropped sensor useful for wildlife as well. Just got a R10. I watched this video after I purchased R10. This video reconfirmed that R10 was a good choice for me. You covered all the essentials while comparing these cameras. Thank you.
I bought an r50 last month. I’m not a photographer like that by any means but I do like taking meaningful photos and it’s def way better than a phone. I’ve really enjoyed taking it out. Super light, agile and very capable. I’d say it’s worth the money
I am not a professional photographer just a hobbyist who second shoots every so often with my professional photographer daughter. I bought the R100 for two reasons I saw one used at my local camera shop for $276 and I have owned some rebel cameras and to me the R100 is basically a mirrorless rebel camera. I use my daughters ef to rf adapter so it didn’t cost me anything. I also chose to buy some adapters o i could use vintage film camera lenses. I realize not everyone will make the choices I do but if you focus on making great images use what you have.
As a beginner this is exactly the video I needed! Fun, easy to follow along and understand, and the check boxes made it super easy to keep up with differences. I was debating between the 50 and 10 and I think for me it makes more sense to get the 50 to learn on and spend more on decent lenses.
Recently I purchase a used EF 70-200mm F2.8L Canon lens to use on my Canon R100 camera. I use a Canon adapter to mount my EF lens to the RF format connector. I take really good photos of flowers with the 70-200. I took some photos of my nephews at the beach with the 70-200mm lens and those photos all turned out great. I had to edit some of the shadows in Adobe Lr on my nephews, but other than that straight out of the camera of the 70-200mm lens on my R100 takes really good photos. I also photographed some moving boats in the channel of water by the beach, with the R100 on "AV" mode or "Apeture Priority" mode. The boats where not traveling that fast, maybe 5 miles an hour. All the moving boat photos turned out well and are in focus on Av mode. My 70-200mm lens has image stabilization.
Got an R50 a couple of weeks ago as a backup and smaller travel setup to my R5 and have been loving it. Patiently waiting for 2.8 options for the RF-S.
My son has a R10 and I have a Sony A74 (full frame) his photos can easily compete and better mine, we were taking photos of wild monkeys in Kyushu Japan last summer and his photos here insanely good and the extra reach of APSC helped as well. Full frame snobbery is not all it’s cracked up to be.
@@csc-photo please give me an example. I have been into photography for decades but it’s more about skill to me that tech. I started off way before digital cameras where even possible.
LOL, it's ok to pe proud of your son but if you cannot see the difference between one of the best ff sensors and an entry level aps c, you're still a noob. One example, wide angle photography. It's impossible to get the same angle of view of a ff with an aps and the same lens. And no, there are not good RFS lenses and even if they where, physics tell you an aps c camera will always have lesser image quality than a ff. Perhaps both of you shoot jpeg? But anyway, both cameras are capable of excellent results, but are meant for different purposes. R10 will be better for wildlife and A7 for landscapes, to say something.
@@ConcealedWeapon well what I don’t mention as I know someone would say this is he won awards for it too. I can see the difference but that means nothing if you have not got any talent. People are looking too much at the technical side but at the end of the day that means nothing if you are not a good photographer. I think people use it as a crutch.
@@ConcealedWeapon I agree with your point however a 10-22 on crop is still wickedly wide.. I shoot a lot of superwide and I've been using crop for 14 years, ff for 10. I just got my first 16 - 35 2 years ago.. same view. I used to rent the Canon 8 -15 fisheye for landscapes. very cool stuff 11-14 on full frame has no crop equivalent though. PS - r10 beating an ar4... definitely the suspect quote of the day 🤣🤣🤣
I bought the R50 at a great price when they had all the reps at my local camera store for $604 that is with kit lens and tax. I think it is the best bang for your buck of the 3
Listen to Fro, people, glass is super important. I've never been happier with any camera than the R6mII, but that's only because I got two nice zoom lenses 24-70mm and 70-200mm f2.8. Those are amazing and cover basically all my needs. I will get a better macro lens than the 35mm f1.8 at some point (which I only ever use for macro shooting), and I borrow a 10-20 f4 whenever I need one, but if I only ever could own two lenses, it would be those two because without them the R6 would be useless. Any of those lenses would give most people such amazing results with all three of the bodies shown im this video, and that's why glass is super important. 😅
Due to the bad reception, the R100 has dropped to under $300 brand new lol. Its kind of a no brainer for a beginner to go for the R100 now and get a food lens instead of a $600+ body, its basically the beginner Rebel Mirrorless. And in the hands of an experienced photographer its still gonna be good regardless. If I can get stunning shots with my ancient 350D, I imagine I can get even better shots with the R100.
I run my R7 as my primary, but I still have my old M50 around as a secondary/backup. My R7 is still relatively light and small enough for running and gunning or travel. But it's nice to know that I still have a smaller, lighter option. I probably won't be ditching my M50 for an R50, but I am keeping an eye out for an R6mkII to have a full frame in my kit.
I used the same combo over 1 year and M50 is a very good photo camera. Just video is marginal compared to the R7. My 2 M50 ii are used in for video/youtube because of clean HDMI out and very good quality in 2k. R7 is reserved for long telephoto (stabilization) and 4k video for a future movie project aiming at higher quality video + the potential for video cropping.
I enjoyed this review I actually wanted R7, R6, R5 but its really expensive Went to a store to check it out and Im considering to buy R10 after seeing this ofc as soon as I got my budget for it
My opinion: Vari angel LCD is a source of joy for lots of situations where you cannot use the EVF or look at the display so for me absolutely essential. Touch LCD is natural, so a no brainer to mee too. 4k oversampled video might be the main differentiator for those who are in video. R100 has the awkward contrast detect of the M50 (if I understood the Canon information correctly) for its 4k cropped video: far away from DPAF + mostly annoying crop. I would strongly prefer the R50 over R100 if you need increased display usability + the potential of high quality 4k movie. EDIT: Forgotten to say: Always a good and enjoying video - Thanks.
I own an 80D. I was thinking of moving into the RF system. Is the R10 a good equivalent in terms of image quality? I do not want a downgrade on image quality.
Between them, hands down the R50 has the tiniest and most crammed controls ever in a camera! Even the R100 is better, because the screen in integrated in the body, and there was more space left for the controls on the back. And the R10 is by far the best in ergonomy, controls, customisability of controls. The R50 cannot have 2 buttons at least customised. And you can't customise the d-pad with just moving the focus points. Very unpleasant, for someone that knows what they're doing.
It's easy, at least from the numbering stand point: the smaller the number the better the body. Perhaps what you find confusing is the APS sensor models being intertwined with the FF models, but that's been like that for a long time.
Warning to others who are thinking about buying the R50/R10, do not buy it with the kit lens, they are absolutely terrible with image quality. Doesn’t matter so much for those considering a R100 cause if you’re buying that I don’t think this is something you would notice to begin with. The RFS 18-45 is a pain in the butt to use, you have to turn it to start shooting, otherwise it’s like you still have the lens cap on, the barrel extends outwards a lot as you zoom out. Buy these bodies on its own and go for the new Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 if you need a zoom lens, you won’t kick yourself later for having it. Otherwise go for the budget prime RF24,28,35,50mm lenses for amazing sharpness and image quality. The RF28 & 50mm makes the most sense size wise to go on these bodies, the others protrude out the front quite a bit and makes the camera extremely front heavy and a bit awkward looking. This is just speaking from personal experience, got the R50 and not a day goes by where I don’t wish I never got the kit lens. I got the RF24mm f1.8 because I needed something for night photography, I was blown away at how much sharper the images were compared to the kit lenses. I liken it to going from SDTV to HDTV😂😂 For people who have genuine interest in photography and looking to start on lower budget but perhaps grow into higher quality cameras later on, don’t go with the RFS lenses.
You should check out the Ef-s 18-150. it’s great, good close up performance, sharp, reach is good. Works like a charm on my R7 and is light, too. Especially for run and gun a absolute underrated lens
@@mb-watches I’ve heard great things about EF glass but I do not want to use an adapter and make my set up heavier and bulkier than it is, that’s why I haven’t gone that route. Size, weight and portability is my main priority in choosing gear. Thanks for the tip though👍🏻
@@h.o.j2375 Sorry one typo, meant to say RF-S 18-150. that said, I also had great result using the EF-S 18-135 with adapter on my R7 which worked like a Charme, even filmed a Panerai production visit on that and the footage turned our nicely. Also no AF problems 👍🏻

@@devashishpoddar1696 I like the rf 50mm f1.8 it’s super cheap, very sharp, great for portraits. The rf-s 55-210 is nice, very versatile, fast auto focus and good stabilization. Also the 55-210 doesn’t focus breath making it good for video. Like with any camera using the best lens will get you better results. I find canon cheaper rf lens to be very sharp and just do a great job.
Ahhh this makes me even more confused. I'm autistic and ADHD and I'm looking at these cameras for my product camera. I need a macro lens because my products are lapel pins.
Maybe the checks marks don't mean much but I liked it and I love the breakdown on these three cameras. It's rock solid and you can make a clear decision after watching this video. Thanks for this.
With the exception of the R5, Canon is all-24MP, all the time. Once the 24MP R1 comes out, it'll be something like 9 out of 10 full frame bodies at or around 24MP. And the R5 seems to be higher res just to provide 8k video. Is Canon trying to tell us something?
That they are lazy, and only care about market share numbers at the end of the day, not making the best absolute model for each price point. Canon can easily make the crop camera to end all crop cameras. but then they wouldn't be able to drip feed sell you a new version in 2 years. at this point so many people just want a 30 plus megapixel version of the m62 with upgraded internals. but no they want to give you this ham hock foolishness with really pedestrian industrial design. apple and Canon are bedfellows at this point, you always have to look for what they leave out cuz it's usually something important that helps future-proof that model.
Looking for my first camera and I’m in a pickle between the R10 and R50. I don’t care for video I want something just for stills. Mainly looking to shot portraits, animals, cars, nature, landscapes, maybe even gardens and such. If anyone has any suggestions for a better camera that’s more photo oriented than video oriented
Canon has refurb R100s for $240. I’m looking for a backup and something I can carry everyday and not be bothered if it is damaged. I just don’t know if it would be too limiting or not.
Where was this video when I needed it 😭 I brought the eos r50 and I didn’t know I needed an adapter for the lens because I ended getting the ef 50mm lens when I needed the rf 50mm lens. I als didn’t know the r50 needed a trigger for the Godox tt600
I take thousands of photos on my phone. I used to have a canon t3 rebel back in the day. But I am definitely a beginner and I would like to get back into a good camera that will have the potential for some freelance work. Is the r50 enough? Or do I really need to consider spending the extra for the r10. I want great quality but don’t want to jump in the deep end and spend the extra money for a body just yet if I can help it.
I picked up an R50 on refurb for $449 wiht a kit lens, sold off the kit lens and bought the 18-150 R7 kit lens. All in the kit was around $700 and its so capable. AF is great, IQ is great, and the R50 has been quite surprising. The AF in the R50 might be better than that of my R6 mk1. Almost debating selling off the R6 and all of my FF lenses. I'm quite satisfied with the R50.
I will wait for the M6II successor with RF mount - can it the R9 or something. I don't want the EVF, and I prefer the flip up to the flip out screen. We also really need an aps-c body with IBIS that also has an aps-c size body. Maybe they'd even give us the 22f2 in RF mount with that release. Or would that be to kind of Canon? 😂
everything you just said they don't want to make. those are two of the most obvious directions to go, the obviously don't want to sell that to you. Even with the crap limitations of RFS selection, I would have definitely invested in an upgraded m62 with RF mount. all it needed was Ibis and better autofocus...done.
Because then people might buy it instead of the pricier cameras. Keep in mind that Generations Z and Y don't use a viewfinder anyway, so if that were missing it wouldn't matter to half of the market for the R100. Canon has to cripple their cameras in myriad ways to get you to buy better ones. This is one reason (among others) I left Canon.
@Jared Polin I just bought my R-10 today from Allen's via your link. I hope you get the appropriate credit from them. It's slated to arrive on Monday (today is Friday)
Hi Jared. I have just found you!!! I'm autistic and have ADHD and I lose track of these types of videos concentration wise but you had me glued from the start to the end. I've watched this video twice. I run a small business and I'm looking for a good camera to take product images. My products are lapel pins. 1in x 1in. You sold me on the R50 or R10. The lens is where I get lost. I need a Marco lens. I know that. But I don't know which lens I need. A 35mm macro or 85mm macro. Did I tell you I know nothing about photography. I just want clear zoomed in images. Can your community help me. I'm pretty overwhelmed and I'm stating to get anxious over the whole buying process. I only have about $2500 and I want to have a camera that lasts a long time. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Both R10 and R50 can record 10 bit. However, Canon did not provide CLog in neither of them. As a consumer, I find it offensive. Canon always cripples its entry level cameras to force you buy the more expensive ones. Sony provides SLog even in cheap 8 bit cameras, like the Zv-e10
R100 if can be used as webcam via HDMI cable with elgato cam link id's take it just for that, drop the rf 18 1250 on it. Anyone tried it as a webcam? Does it work well with hours of streaming with a battery dummy?
R50 came in between r100 and r10 and can record video 4k 30fps thats so good. And the r50 have many videos options. I have both r50 and r10 I prefer r50 for the product mode idk what the exact name but its so good.
i want to buy either r10 or r50 for family photos so i want to use the auto mode always for easy and fast shots which one is the best for a normal not Pro person who will use Auto Focus always >
So far I've seen multiple videos saying R50 is the sweetspot. I'm trying to decide if it's worth stepping up to the full frame R8. Any thoughts on that?
@@DaddyM7MDthanks, and while the advice is good, I'm not just starting out. I've had a 600D for over 10yrs 😂 my lenses, constant f2. 8 zoom and tele etc. I think are full frame lenses but would need rf adapter. Just wondering if the jump to full frame is worth 2x the price.
the trapdoor with Cannon is that they love leaving out features like the garbage r100 with no touch screen, or a actual lower resolution back screen for the r10 which is the most expensive, they do stupid stuff all the time and you're generally not going to know about it until you run into it or you're very well informed from multiple reviews from multiple sources and hopefully it can still work for you. for example the R5 has a savior settings feature that they didn't put in the R62 which came out later. you don't think it's an issue until you have to reset the camera because of some technical issue and then all of your settings over 20 some odd screens has all been reset to default. I've been with Canon for about 14 years now, it was better back in the days they seem to put their all into whatever model that they came out with, but this is not the same Canon. if you're going to stick with crop especially, you might want to look at Fuji or even Nikon at this point. you do have options even though all of the options have limitations. at the end of the day comes down to what you're shooting and how so-called professional and such you want to be.
Sorry to say this, but if you have had a 600d for ten years and don't know if your lenses are ff or not you're just starting out, very slowly. R50 is not the sweetspot. It lacks some necessary (to me) features that make it crippled, like the lack of a full mechanical shutter. That alone completely blocks you off from some types of photography. R10 has the "complete set of characteristics" but diminished, like a baby R7 minus stabilization. You can do most things with it, just not for a very long time or big.
I'm currently waiting for the Mk. 2 version of the R10/ I am still using my Canon SL1 even though it is over 10 years old now. My camera on my phone covers me off for run-and-go until I can get the R10 Mk. 2 when it comes out.
Love those videos!!! You spoke about 3rd party lenses, After I upgraded my R5 to the latest firmware 2.0, I started to get blurry images, I'm using Sigma 60-600mm. I wrote to Canon, they said that something like that could happen and I should buy an RF lens, (too expensive), and they deleted the topic I made with access denied... Sigma saw the RAW files and said, I might using a filter and I'm not.. Really don't know what to do..
If that happens due to or with the firmware update, then it will be a software issue. In the days of DSLRs there was this problem with back- or front-focusing, when the actual focal plane was not on the sensor. This had to be corrected manually fpr every lens on every body, but it is solved and is not a problem here anymore as i think. I also own the Sigma 60-600mm EF, and it is a great lens in terms of optical performance. So i would reccomend to try a newer or older firmware than the one you have issues with. If the Problem is still there, then i am sure it is an optical/lens-electronic issue. In this case i would send the combination of R5 and Sigma to a service center so that they get a look at it. If you have the option, try another copy of either of these two devices, so you might get where the issue is at.
Sigma has 6 lenses to be released over the next year and a half. Starting with their amazingly small $550 18-50mm f/2.8. That drops next month, and their 10-18mm f/2.8 drops in the fall. After that it’s their quadrant of 1.4’s Tamron also is dropping their 11-20mm f/2.8 this year. Hopefully Voltrox will join the fray in future…

No, unfortunately Canon has abandoned the eos-m mount, and those lenses are pretty much useless on anything else. Have to go to the full frame R series to get a headphone jack.
None, especially if it will be your primary camera. If you are knowledgeable about the limitations and the quality of life issues are tolerable, get one as a second camera. Otherwise, purchase a used R6 and get something not crippled in some annoying way. I've found them in good condition on Fred Miranda buy sell forum for as little as $1100.

Better off getting a R8 if you are gonna go Canon, but the lenses are REALLY expensive if you want something other than the 16, 35, 50 , and 85. If those main lenses will take care of your needs than thats cool, but not ONE zoom 2.8 for full frame under 1000. Ouch!

You're looking from the wrong perspective. These are entry level cameras, if you DSLR has ibis, it's not an entry level and you shouldn't be comparing it to them. Upgrade to an R7 then. OTOH, by not buying an R10, youre missing impressive autofocus capability that not even the best dslr had, and I'm being serious. Ibis is much less important than af.
@@ConcealedWeapon I shoot with a Nikon D7000; just about any mirrorless AF system from within the last 5 years will be a huge improvement in every possible aspect. I'm on the fence about other mirrorless features (I would definitely appreciate some of the features that come with an EVF, but am on the fence about the experience compared to an optical one), but IBIS would be incredibly useful for most the types of photos I like to take. Better AF would certainly help as well, but that's a given for any semi-recent camera I'd buy.

I realize not everyone will make the choices I do but if you focus on making great images use what you have.
I like these “checkmark” videos that compare camera bodies. They’re serious and humorous at the same time.
I'll keep my M50 mark 1 and 2 for awhile yet. Still photography only for me, so they suit me just fine.
Got an R50 a couple of weeks ago as a backup and smaller travel setup to my R5 and have been loving it. Patiently waiting for 2.8 options for the RF-S.
SIgma will have a brilliant 18-50 f2.8 in July, forget the Canon glass.
Depends entirely on use case / goals, it’s not snobbery
I just got my first 16 - 35 2 years ago.. same view. I used to rent the Canon 8 -15 fisheye for landscapes. very cool stuff
11-14 on full frame has no crop equivalent though.
PS - r10 beating an ar4... definitely the suspect quote of the day 🤣🤣🤣
I bought the R50 at a great price when they had all the reps at my local camera store for $604 that is with kit lens and tax. I think it is the best bang for your buck of the 3
I own the r50, pretty good and light weight, would recommend
That’s also a $6k+ kit which is probably going to be way above the budget of most people watching this video
im selling mine because i got a r5. feels like a smaller modern version of workhorse 5d3
I don't like the r62 body 😭
R100 for studio and live streaming and one of the other 2 for field work.
The Canon M100 had a touchscreen. I suspect that the lack of a touchscreen in the R100 will be a deal breaker for many people.
Just bought r50. Fits my my budget.
I enjoyed this review
I actually wanted R7, R6, R5 but its really expensive
Went to a store to check it out and
Im considering to buy R10 after seeing this ofc as soon as I got my budget for it
My opinion:
Vari angel LCD is a source of joy for lots of situations where you cannot use the EVF or look at the display so for me absolutely essential.
I dont know a lot about cameras, but i bought myself the r8, is it good too?
As clear as your vids are, I’m still confused about Canon’s body lineup
the whole point is what features are you willing to have limited versions of so you can have a Canon camera
I liken it to going from SDTV to HDTV😂😂
For people who have genuine interest in photography and looking to start on lower budget but perhaps grow into higher quality cameras later on, don’t go with the RFS lenses.
I agree, awful lens, but for $50 usd more than the body alone it's ok, specially if it's your first RF camera. It's almost like getting it for free, so why not?
@ it’s my most used broll lens, far away from aweful, actually. Enjoy also the new sigma rf lenses, not a too big zoom range but f2,8 and good sharpness.
Great video, Jared. I decided to get the R10. Great camera. Thank you for the reviews.
I have the r100 and r10. The images that come out of the r100 are excellent, every bit as good as the r10. Both cameras are excellent, i enjoy the super small size of the r100 though.
Which is the best all rounder lens for r100 ?
@@devashishpoddar1696 I like the rf 50mm f1.8 it’s super cheap, very sharp, great for portraits. The rf-s 55-210 is nice, very versatile, fast auto focus and good stabilization. Also the 55-210 doesn’t focus breath making it good for video. Like with any camera using the best lens will get you better results. I find canon cheaper rf lens to be very sharp and just do a great job.

Love my R50, my dad’s R10 is also amazing. I highly recommend both
If you have to pick one ?
Ahhh this makes me even more confused. I'm autistic and ADHD and I'm looking at these cameras for my product camera. I need a macro lens because my products are lapel pins.
I will be going for R10 because I love the grip as well.
Maybe the checks marks don't mean much but I liked it and I love the breakdown on these three cameras. It's rock solid and you can make a clear decision after watching this video. Thanks for this.
i miss the m50 body. Wish they had put the rf mount on 3rd version. Super easy tocarry around reat quality
The R50 is not really bigger.
If your going to do sports and wildlife which one should you get?
With the exception of the R5, Canon is all-24MP, all the time. Once the 24MP R1 comes out, it'll be something like 9 out of 10 full frame bodies at or around 24MP. And the R5 seems to be higher res just to provide 8k video. Is Canon trying to tell us something?
That I should leave canon. I want 30 MP in the next camera I purchase.

No touch screen on the R100 is a huge bother I don't know why they did that. R50 is the way to go the thing is so small you wouldn't believe it.
@JamalPhoenix why is that big issue tho? Does it affect the quality of pics or is it just for ease of use for you?
The R10 is essentially a mini R7
Like the R8 is a mini R6mk2
I picked up an R50 on refurb for $449 wiht a kit lens, sold off the kit lens and bought the 18-150 R7 kit lens. All in the kit was around $700 and its so capable. AF is great, IQ is great, and the R50 has been quite surprising. The AF in the R50 might be better than that of my R6 mk1. Almost debating selling off the R6 and all of my FF lenses. I'm quite satisfied with the R50.
That Canon 18-150mm is superb!
Wait seated.
Every time I see the R100 I wonder why they didn't ditch the EVF in favor of a flippy touch screen.
Photography priority I suppose.
I just wanna take pictures of my dog, kids playing soccer and family trips ? R50 or R100
Was that the sickest Men in Black reference I’ve ever heard?
I will buy a new Canon in a few days! You helped me so much im my decision! Thank you Jared!
I don't know why people compare cameras with different price point. and will say "the one with lower price point is crap, garbage and worst".
Thanks! I couldn't find if R10 have or not a full mechanical shutter! You saved me!
the big problem with R50 (and R8) is that it does not support third party flashes unless you put a bulky adapter...
And it's so annoying

I just bought my R-10 today from Allen's via your link.
My fav cameras are a Nikon D300 and a Rebel 350D. Im sure any of these will be better, even the "old tech" R100 😆😆
Which camera is better for shooting video for UA-cam in a studio Canon R10 or Sony ZF-E10-Mark II?
Both R10 and R50 can record 10 bit. However, Canon did not provide CLog in neither of them. As a consumer, I find it offensive. Canon always cripples its entry level cameras to force you buy the more expensive ones. Sony provides SLog even in cheap 8 bit cameras, like the Zv-e10
Buy Sony.
R100 if can be used as webcam via HDMI cable with elgato cam link id's take it just for that, drop the rf 18 1250 on it. Anyone tried it as a webcam? Does it work well with hours of streaming with a battery dummy?
Which on is best for studio photos ???
R50 came in between r100 and r10 and can record video 4k 30fps thats so good. And the r50 have many videos options. I have both r50 and r10 I prefer r50 for the product mode idk what the exact name but its so good.
i want to buy either r10 or r50 for family photos so i want to use the auto mode always for easy and fast shots
which one is the best for a normal not Pro person who will use Auto Focus always >
So far I've seen multiple videos saying R50 is the sweetspot. I'm trying to decide if it's worth stepping up to the full frame R8. Any thoughts on that?
I probably wouldn't recommend full frame if you're just starting out because with a camera and lens it's about 3-5x more expensive than the r50.
برای من خیلی موفید و کاربردی بود ممنون از شما
Hey Jared please compare RAW and CRAW
already has
Love those videos!!!
You spoke about 3rd party lenses,
After I upgraded my R5 to the latest firmware 2.0,
I started to get blurry images, I'm using Sigma 60-600mm.
I wrote to Canon, they said that something like that could happen
and I should buy an RF lens, (too expensive),
and they deleted the topic I made with access denied...
If you have the option, try another copy of either of these two devices, so you might get where the issue is at.
canon RF has no crop lenses... what's the point of your monologue about glass?
They do. And Sigma has some coming out also.
Sigma has 6 lenses to be released over the next year and a half. Starting with their amazingly small $550 18-50mm f/2.8. That drops next month, and their 10-18mm f/2.8 drops in the fall. After that it’s their quadrant of 1.4’s
Tamron also is dropping their 11-20mm f/2.8 this year.

Ouch!

Unfortunately if there's no IBIS then I'm not upgrading from my DSLR. The R50 and R10 look like a great value for those who don't mind that though
Sony has really forgotten the entry level buyer. I have to suggest the R50/R100 to anyone that is new to photography with a low budget.
I wonder how the A6100 compares to say an R50,
i mean there is the zv e10, no evf, but great for photos and 6100 is good as well
@@Sqeezy3 Those are good cameras, but not low budget at all.
Last week, Canon was selling the refurbished R100 with kit lens and zoom lens for $400.
You cant get anything Sony close to that price.
don't suggest the r100
its trash.
TL;DR: the R100 exists to sell the R50.
Nice review but You cannot use third party speedlights such as godox on the Eos R50 but you can use third party speedlights on the R100 and the R10.
I guess canon used the "CANON CRIPPLE HAMMER," HERE
Honestly who ares. That’s such a minor things especially for beginners. On top of that, that cripple hammer statement is bs. People expect everything for nothing.
@@froknowsphotowell beginners many times have more budgets issues... obviously.
Someone surprised by such a random limitation will care.....@@froknowsphoto
Is it me or froman hates panasonic
I’m much more offended by the lack of USB-C charging than I am with the lack of touchscreen on the R100. Adjusting settings on a touch screen is one of my least favorite parts about phone photography, and I don’t care to pay extra for a feature that I won’t use and will just make the thing more likely to break. I’m obviously a minority though.
Any camera is a useless paper weight without the Fro Pack
Why is that everyone skips the 9? Microsoft did it with Windows, Apple did it with the iPhone?
