48V is more efficient for sure. I started this project with a Victron Multiplus ii 24/5000 inverter and then got another 24/5000 connected in parallel shortly after. I never have any problem with it so decided to stick with 24V. If I have to start all over again I would go with 48V to save money on cabling and buying fewer BMS too. As for the AGM system,I got the 2 Victron 24/3000 and batteries for dirt cheap that's why it's a 24V system as well😁.

Very nice install and when the AGM fail you can slot in some more LFP very easily. EVE are now making LF560K so 8S config will be over 14KW and only one BMS. Good luck.
Very clean build! Thanks for sharing! How do your cells perform over the course of a year given their orientation, suburban surroundings, and 3s2p config? Do the nearby trees shade panels much? Do you see cyclic losses in the PV strings as individual panels are shaded at different times of the year?
I only have these panels since last June as an upgrade. There's tree shade on the carport till around 10am and at the back there's shadow from the house and only get full sun at around 12:30pm.

I don't have any backup power 😅, it's been raining for the past few days and the battery is still at 90%. I will get a generator if it ever drop to 30%.
@@alanblyde8502 It's not joined,I'm running the 2 system independently. I don't think it's a good idea to connect the Lead and Lithium batteries together.
Got the AGM set up just over 3 years now,it's still going strong. For my setup I think it's just as good as the LiFePO4. It was a plus I got them for cheap. I had never discharged them below 80% yet so I think they should last a long while.
Hey, If I see this right, then ur cell voltage is way too high. Max is 3.65V I would charge them to 3.45V and let theme floot by 3.4V. Please look at the charge curve for LifePo4 cells. But other than that very,very nice!!! Best wishes /N

@@paullyngkuist2906 No swelling. Some of the packs in this setup are over 4 years old the cells still look the same as the day I got them.

I charged them to 3.5V per cell max and float at 3.375,
at 6:21 you can see it's already on float at 27V.

Yes. I was too invested with 24v from the beginning, it's working perfectly so I'm stuck with it. Will change to 48V in future if the inverters fail.
